Chapter Thirty-Nine

They tied a rope to her hands, and another to her eyes and mouth, making it difficult for her to see or make a sound. She could only struggle.

“What do they want to do with this fine lady?” One of the grumpy-looking men questioned his fellow.

“Kill her? They always do that.” His partner assumed.

Finally, Melanie was able to pull the rope from her mouth, she exhaled deeply.

“What do you want from me? My father would kill you if he caught you!” She screamed frantically.

“Save your voice for later, darling. Besides, no one is ever going to hear you.” One of the men smirked, laughing with his colleague.

“WHERE AM I?” She yelled. “Why did you kidnap me? I didn’t wrong anyone or do anything wrong.” She agitated sadly.

“Maybe you sided with the wrong person.” Another man curled his lips in disgust, they ignored her and continued cleaning their rifles.
