Chapters. 3 Big Scary Monsters

Sean returned to the restaurant while the monsters were destroying all the facilities. They looked like creatures full of rage. So they destroyed everything in front of them. People who hadn't had time to save themselves. Captured and eaten alive in that place. Including Sean's coworkers, who had often underestimated him.

"Help! Help me!" shouted the man in the waitress's uniform. His hands tried to break free. However, he seemed to have complete immobilization on his legs. The monster's mouth opened horribly. Preparing to tear the man's body into its lunch. "No! Help! I don't want to die!" he screamed. "Argh!" The man could only scream while closing his eyes tightly. Terrified.

Suddenly, there was a loud gunshot next to the man. He opened his eyes. At that moment, his body seemed to float in the air. He fell along with the monster's lifeless body. So did the other monsters in that place. They were already lying on the floor with gunshot wounds on each head.

"Sean," he muttered. Staring at the figure of the coworker who had always been bullied just now helped the man from a terrible death.

"Get up and get the hell out of here!" Sean said gruffly. Really, he still harbored feelings of resentment towards the man who used to hit him for no reason.

"Wait! Help me, I can't move my legs," said the man pleadingly. Actually, Sean didn't want to care about him. He wanted to leave. However, suddenly his legs were held. "Please help me! I still have a wife who just gave birth. Please, don't let my son become an orphan," he pleaded. Sean immediately stopped his steps. Although the man had many sins against him, the baby was innocent. Sean did not want his misfortune to be accepted by his baby too.

"Alright. If I help you now! Not because I feel sorry for you, but because I feel sorry for your child," Sean said sternly.

"Deal!" said the man.

Sean bent down to lift the man's body over the pieces of people's bodies that had been scattered along with the scattered items and monsters that Sean had managed to defeat. It was a heartbreaking sight.

"Where are the others?" asked Sean as he continued walking.

"They're hiding in the refrigeration room."

"Are they crazy? That place can't be opened from the inside. Then how will they get out?"

"I don't know. Maybe they're frozen now."

Sean walked out of the restaurant. There were several police cars and ambulances out front evacuating people.

"Take him home! I have to help the people trapped inside," Sean said as he handed the man to a medic.

"Alright. Call us if you need help! There are so many people to help. We're quite overwhelmed."

Sean nodded in agreement. While walking towards the restaurant again. Sean felt his left leg suddenly weaken. In fact, he couldn't move it. Fortunately, it didn't last long. Because after a few massages. His leg was back to normal. Sean continued his steps towards the storage room. His steps quickened when he saw people panicking in there. Because the door couldn't be opened. Sean tried to open the door from the outside. However, he was not strong enough to move the iron door lock.

"Help! Help! Help!" the people inside the soundproof room shouted. Although Sean couldn't hear them, he could read their lips as they kept moving while beating on the transparent glass in the center of the door.

Sean kept looking for a way to get them out. Finally, a brilliant idea came to him when he saw the rifle that was carried on his back.

"Back off! Get back everyone!" shouted Sean as he gave the code to the men to move away from the door. With one pull of the trigger, Sean managed to break the lock on the door. Gathering all his strength. Sean tried to break down the door. Honestly, Sean now realized that his strength was not that strong. No wonder people bullied him in the past.

After trying to break the door for the umpteenth time. Finally, Sean managed to open the metal door. His body felt weak. Because his energy had been drained. Making him crash into the inside. While the people just scattered out. Without caring about Sean, who had tried hard to help them.

"Huft!" Sean exhaled the ice grain that accidentally entered his mouth. After gathering his strength again. Sean also moved from that place. Both of his shoulders felt so sore. Because he had just been used to hit a fairly thick metal door.

With staggering steps, Sean walked out. However, he immediately hid behind the wall again. The monsters had come back. They were more numerous than before. Outside, people were being attacked by the ant monsters again. Even the police cars and ambulances were not spared. Those monster had caught everyone. Some seemed to be eaten alive there. Others were nowhere to be found.

"Oh, my God. Those monsters turned out to be more than I thought," Sean muttered. While continuing to hide behind the wall.

"Aaarghh! Aaarghh! Help! Help me! Somebody help me!" shouted the Restaurant Owner who was being carried by the Megant Monster down the outer wall of the building. His lips could scream loudly, but his body seemed unable to move at all.

"Mr. Boss," Sean muttered. He looked pityingly at the owner of the restaurant where he worked. However, his intention to help immediately was held back. When Sean remembered the time the man fired him without pity. "If this hadn't happened. You would have treated me like loser." Sean said irritably. He turned around and didn't want to care. However, his watch suddenly emitted a flashing red light. Sean noticed a red triangle with a command sign in the center. As if to warn of a danger.

"What's wrong with the system? You want me to help him? But, he's very arrogant to me. If this incident hadn't happened. I would have fired him without mercy," Sean said to the watch. There was no answer. However, Sean was sure that was what the system wanted. His conscience couldn't let the middle-aged man be in danger. If he just left him. That would mean that he was just as evil as that man had been. Besides, he had also broken his promise to keep humanity safe from the attack of those terrifying monsters. "Alright. I'll do it." The image on the digital clock screen changed to a check mark with a golden yellow color.

"Aaarghh! Help! Help! Help!" shouted Mr. Boss who sounded farther and farther away. Sean lurked silently. While hiding, he looked for an opening on the monster so he could shoot its head. Unfortunately, the monster's movements made his aiming point keep shifting. The cages were instead aimed at Mr. Boss's head. Sean chuckled in annoyance. Really, he felt very indecisive now. However, this was the right moment to shoot the monster. Before it went any further. Sean pulled the trigger of his rifle. His eyes continued to focus on his aiming point. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew dust into Sean's eyes. The man reflexively closed his eyes while releasing the trigger of his rifle.

Dhorr!

How relieved Sean was to see the monster get the bullet it shot.
