Don's fate turns into revenge

CHAPTER FOUR

“Weldone sister, you have finally agreed with me on separating the daughter in law of our family and this poor thing.”Kate said with a smile on her face.

“How would we allow a dangerous intruder to spend a lifetime with a lady as beautiful as Roselyn.” Mark said he was ready to make Roselyn a princess and one of the most beautiful beings in the city.

Don was looking so drenched and lost as he folded his hands, and couldn't make eye contact with the rest of the family because they have all seen him as a poor criminal who is only after their money.

Mr Jeff who was the father of Roselyn and the Ceo of their company finally spoke up against the sudden and rational decision of his wife and his family members.

“I would not allow my daughter to get married to someone she doesn't want to get married to.”

“When she was a disabled girl….. it was this same Mark that tore the cheque  I gave 

him as  compensation to get married to my daughter.”

But Don was the only one who was ready and fit enough to get married to my daughter for who she really was. Jeff said and went to the bar to get a drink.

Mark escorted Jeff to the bar and decided to have a father and soon to be son in law conservation with him, if hopefully he could change his mind of allowing them get married.

“Two brandies please.” He instructed the bartender, when the drink came he gave one to Jeff and took one for himself and he was trying to convince him to fill a divorce for Roselyn and Don.

“I promised not to screw up when I get married to Roselyn, I love her very much and I won't do anything to hurt.” Mark went on his knees to beg Jeff to allow their companion.

But Jeff stood and left, he couldn't come up with a particular reply to give Mark because he was in a confused and drowning state.

Mark looked up and saw Roselyn was about to break her silence which everyone had been waiting so patiently to listen to her reply on the reunion of Mark and herself.

Wow… looks like the real drama just started, Mark smirks and takes a last sip from his brandy and decides to join the rest of the family.

Everyone was gathered to listen attentively to what Roselyn had to say, she went around to look at everyone's faces and when she caught Mark she made a disgusting looking face and went out of his sight. He try pulling her back but she removed her hands.

Roselyn went to Don and locked his hands with hers and said “this is the man whom I have gotten married to and I will spend my last breath with him without anyone interfering in our married life.

“This man saved my life and took me away from this bandage and gave me a new life and my promise to him is not to leave his side no matter what.”

Mrs phoenix walked up to her daughter and tried to make some sense with her and tried to manipulate her daughter into getting married to a man of not her choice but the choice of the rest of the family.

But Roselyn decided to turn a deaf ear and not listen to the negative thoughts and opinions of her mother and the rest of the family.

“When I was so disabled and depressed, many men passed me by saying they don't want to ruin their future by getting married to a girl like me.”Roselyn said with tears in her eyes.”

“Mark was also one of the men who turned me down and said he won't get married to me so he won't be a laughingstock in this city and my father tried compensating Mark with millions in order to get married to me so what is the sudden change of heart. 

Mark interrupted Roselyn and told her, she is beautiful and he was ready to spend his last amount of money on her just to maintain her beauty. But Roselyn refused to listen to what he was saying because it sounded like gibberish to her.

Roselyn's mom confronted her daughter with annoyance in her eyes but still tried convincing her for the last time. But Roselyn refused to listen to what her mom wanted to say.

“You people want me to get married to a man who tried bribing my husband to abandon me when I was still crippled.”Roselyn said angrily.

Phoenix was tired of listening to what her daughter was saying and decided to land a thunderous slap on the face of Roselyn and told her it was Mark she was going to get married to no matter what.

Don stepped forward and stopped his mother in law and finally spoke up against everybody but he was interrupted by his mother in law. “Why will you this wretched being stop me from deciding what is right for my daughter and he is not compared to Mark who is one of the most influential men in the city.

But Don said he could tolerate any insult given to him but he would not allow anyone to make decisions for Roselyn against her wish and went on to cuddle his wife.

Grandma nona who was the celebrant finally spoke up, “My dear you should listen to your parents when you were cripple they went through burden trolls but when you are beautiful now you are meant to make them happy and proud.

Roselyn walked up to her grandma and said “I was always a burden to my parents because they wanted to get rid of me so fast but Don didn't treat me as a burden but took him as his bride.

Roselyn's mom was about to speak up again but Don had had enough of this drama as he pleaded with everyone to stop and to leave the party. Then Mark came from nowhere and dragged Don by his collar saying , “Don't you dare come between Roselyn and I.”
