Chapter 5

Chapter 5

He got a suit from one of the best designers but they weren't so popular since it was made especially for him with just his name inscribed on it.

When he was done dressing, Helena came again.

"Your car is prepared already sir." She noted bit he didn't want to use a car for such an event.

A cab was going to be more than okay for him since he was not that used to all the luxury that he Found gathered all around him already.

"I don't think that I will need one." He replied to her.

Immediately he spat out the words from her mouth, the expression that was hanging on her face went off and he could not he but notice the swift change.

"Is there anything wrong?" His eyebrows were furrowed towards her.

"If Sir. Maxwell finds out about that, I am going to get into big trouble." The expression on her face was worrying.

"Okay, just this time." He replied.

He got into the car and he was driven slowly to the place, his eyes pairing halfway through the window to catch a glimpse of the city.

At the far end of the place, he noticed that a car passed by. His hands clutched hard with so much anger and he gnashed his teeth as memories flushed back into his head.

Even in his dreams, he was certainly going to recognize the car of that man who stole his girlfriend away from him.

But there was one thing that he did not want him to know just yet and that was the fact that he was rich.

He tapped the shoulders of the driver, turning his attention towards him.

"Do you want anything, young master?" His eyes were focused on the road but his attention was keen to whatever it was that Joshua was saying.

"I am getting down here," Joshua noted and as the words were coming out of his mouth, he was already getting off his seat from his seat but there was a worried look on the face of the builter.

"But... We have been giving strict instructions master and I can't go against any of them or I am going to get into a whole lot of trouble." The voice at which he explained was a little bit shaky and cold sweat already broke out from his face.

But if there was anything that Joshua was already tired of listening to, it was that same phrase.

His eyes farrowed at the guards who were trying as much as he could not to shiver to the point that he was sitting on.

"But I am your  master right and you should be accountable to me. Isn't that so?" He made a face at the bulter making him to shudder even more

He was about to spit out a word from his mouth but his words broke into stutters and the only thing that he could do was nod his head.

"That would be great." He tapped his shoulders. "And you don't have to worry about this, I am going to tell Sir. Maxwell myself and I am very sure that he is going to understand." His assurance was firm in every single way.

"Okay. Young master." He finally agreed, pulling the car over to the road.

Joshua got out of the car and his feet swayed gradually toward the direction of the large hall that was going to be used for that purpose

The glimpse of the gigantic building that laid before him took the breath out of him and even though he already knew that it was it, he could not help it but survoy every single detail of the magnetic building.

While he continued to stare at it, his nose caught up with a familiar aura making him turn his head around almost immediately.

Before him stood Evelyn and her intended boyfriend, Henry.

Flashes of the past crossed through his mind almost immediately and he gnashed his teeth with so much hatred and anger.

Henry was the first to notice him in the place and his face broke into an evil smile.

"Look who we have here already. Did you miss your way or something?" The words streamed out from his mouth while he continued to stare at them.

At the sound of the word, Evelyn turned around and the walls around her world seemed to crumble immediately she laid her eyes on him.

Immediately Evelyn laid his eyes on him, her face disappeared into a strong frown and she felt like crushing him with her bare hands.

"Why are you following me all around? Are you so obsessed with me?" She forged ahead towards him, ready to slap him on his face.

"Obsessed?" He spat on the floor at the sound of the irritating word.

"I don't think that you would want to do that, the whole place is guarded and you are only going to be getting yourself into the black book of a real powerful group and I am so sure that is something that you don't want." His voice was firm.

She intended to ignore every single word of what she just said but Henry held her backwards.

"If you want that cooperation, I don't think that I would be wise to do what you intend to do." She whispered making her stop right on the spot where she was standing and growled.

"Leave him to me, I am going to handle him perfectly."

"Thank you stars today."

Henry walked over to him until he shouldered him and he shot a stare at him."

"I guess that the streets have done a lot of horror to you these past few hours. But don't worry. I am willing to help you."

"And I have to tell you, with the dignities that are coming in here today, you are not worthy to clean the dust off this place so it would be preferable for you to accept my offer."

"And that would be?" He frowned waiting for what he was going to spit out from his mouth.

"In simple terms, I want you to kneel right now and lick the dust off from my feet. And I will consider giving you a job as a security officer in my company." He proposed.

Evelyn walked towards him and cleaned the dust off his chest with a smirk hanging on her face.

"Aren't you so generous?" She  affirmed.

"So, what are you still doing? Get down to his feet right this moment." She sneered at him to but their greatest surprise, he only gasped.

"While, sorry to disappoint you stupidity but I am not here to beg for a job." He grinned.

"I would preferably kneel before a pig rather than kneel before a low life like you."

The words shook them as they never believed that he was ever capable of saying anything related to that, especially for Evelyn.

"Seems he has grown some wings in the past few hours

She had always known him to the decline and always pulled away from anything related to trouble. But here he was different from the Joshua that he had always known.

Maybe it was because of the Divorce, that he was beginning to reveal his true self that he had been hiding all this while.

'So pathetic of him.'

"It going to make sure that you pay for every careless word that just came out from you." Henry growled at him but it only made Joshua rock hard with laughter.

"Seriously? Threatening someone that is way superior to you?" He made a face.

"If you know what is best for you.. you should be apologizing already."

"Superior? Apologize?" Henry scoffed.

"I'm definitely going to make sure that you regret this."

Just then, the hall public address system blew off and it was time for them to go in

"Too bad for you. You can't even go in."

"Well, Sorry to disappoint you but I already have my invitation card."
