Chapter 14: The Spy

Arthur saw the wizard and the guards and knights that were guarding the place. "This is no good, I will have to enter this castle without anyone one of them noticing." He told himself.

But as he saw the guards and knights always covering their back for each other and always keeping an eye with the wizard, he realized that there will be another problem, "I can't afford to knock any one out, the security is too tight, I will have to get in without anyone noticing and without choking anyone out. This will be risky." Arthur told told himself.

Just as before, he waited until it was night so he could start his operation without being seen, he then used his grappling gun to shoot a grappling hook to a empty part of the tower. As he pressed the button of the grappling gun, it pulled him towards his destination, however, the guards noticed the sound and was quick to react.

"Hey did you hear that?" One of the guards asked.

"Yeah, it seems that it has come from above..." The guard said while looking at the part of the castle that Arthur was hiding at.

"Call the general! Someone might be here." The guard ordered.

Arthur who was hiding right behind a wall on the castle, looked at his grappling gun and sighed, I have only used this for two times and it is already close to being almost unusable. The grappling gun was still functional but was too loud for Arthur to use.

Arthur then broke the grappling gun and bought another one from the system shop.

He walked in the room that he was in and immediately the floor under him broke. "Crap!" Arthur realized that the part of the castle that he was in, was a trap.

As he dropped to the ground he could see the soldiers, guards, knights and one wizard surrounded him. "You are under arrest!" They shouted.

Arthur looked around him and realized that even with the new grappling gun he had, the place that he was in made it impossible for him to grapple out. "It seems that they knew I will be coming and even know how I will be coming." He told himself before looking at the Lord who was right behind his soldiers.

"Lord Alkemer, you are under arrest for rebellion against the will of the people!" Arthur shouted.

The guards stepped away from the Lord to make the Lord visible to Arthur.

Lord Alkemer had a very skinny build, in fact, Arthur wondered whether the Lord has even a percent of fat in his body. "Hahaha, I am under arrest? From what I am seeing, it looks like you are under arrest... Let me give you a deal, it seems that you are very talented in gaining the trust of the public, and if you die under my men, it will make the whole country very angry at me. So instead let's make a deal. Interested?" The Lord asked.

Arthur smiled as he saw the first Lord that he could consider as intelligent. "I am very interested, but what makes you so confident that you are able to subdue me?" Arthur asked.

"It's very simple. Only a few days ago you were seen flying without any issues, and you were able to defeat this nations greatest forces, but now you are using stealth and devices that should be useful to someone as powerful as yourself. That only tells me that you lost your power." Lord Alkemer smiled.

"Smart, but you are wrong about one thing." Arthur said as he pointed his finger to the Lord.

"What could I be wrong, when all I have said was correct?" The Lord asked.

"I didn't lose all of my power." Arthur replied before putting on his armor and equipping his shield. Considering that he couldn't kill anyone, he could only use his shield to move his enemies around.

Lord Alkemer's eyes widened as he pointed at Arthur, "Stop him!" He shouted

One of the knights swung his sword towards Arthur but it was blocked. Arthur then punched the knights away with brute strength while hiding behind all of the guards and knights to avoid the wizards attack.

"Magus Kaliara, why the heck are you not attacking!" The Lord shouted.

"My Lord! The soldiers are blocking my view, if I attack, I might kill them!" The wizard said.

Arthur continued punching and pushing the soldiers aside but felt that one of the soldiers climb on top of his back, thankfully, Arthur's suit exoskeleton allowed Arthur to move despite the guard who was trying to choke Arthur.

Arthur then picked up the guard that was behind him and threw him towards the wizard who eventually passed out from the attack.

"See? Now I will be making the deal." Arthur said.

Lord Alkemer smiled as he raised his hands. "Well, you win. And in return, I will accept your deal if it's good, and you can put me in jail if your deal is bad." He said.

Arthur nodded, "Don't worry, I am a very fair man. My deal is that you will withdraw from the rebellion and hand over information about the rest of the rebellion, you will be helping me in fighting against those rebels. In return, I will divide this kingdom into several states, and I will endorse you as the governor for the people on this country to vote you in power." Arthur said.

"And the salary?" The Lord asked.

"Well, it won't be as much when you were getting the royal tax money, but it will be more than enough for you to live a luxurious life." Arthur replied.

"Sigh, I guess I will have the accept the deal then." Lord Alkemer said as he shook Arthur's hand.

"Now, for the informations..."said Arthur.

Lord Almkemer looked at Arthur and sighed. "Before I give you the informations about the other rebels, I will give you a more crucial piece of information." Lord Alkemer said.

"I will stop you there. I already know that there is a spy from the rebels who has been giving information to all of you." Arthur said.

"You know? Don't tell me that you are keeping the spy with you for your plan?" The Lord asked.

"No actually. I don't really know what to do. But I also know that the person didn't become a spy on his own accord." Arthur replied.

"Yes. The rebels forced him to wear some kind of magic tool around his neck and get information from you and I've even heard that they have threatened to kill his family." The Lord said.

"I see..." Arthur replied. "Well, that has got to change then." he added.
