Mission

Shelly woke up the next morning with slight ache in her body, she cleared her eyes and stole a glance at Ethan to see if he was okay.

Ethan was sitting on the sick bed with a smile on his face as he smiled at her, she couldn't help but hug him with a smile.

"I'm glad you're alive, don't worry the doctor said you will be okay within the span of two months. I would never leave sour side." She said.

"I don't think I would need to stay in this place one hour more, I can't bare the scent of drugs." Ethan replied.

Shelly lifted her head and looked at his his face, he wasn't joking.

She smiled wryly and threw a faint punch at his shoulder.

Ethan sighed, it was unbelievable but he did not want to stay in this place anymore, he really wanted to leave to explore his system outside.

He started taking off everything on his body, firsts starting with the needles, bandages.

"What are you doing, don't act rashly here please you need to be okay"

After taking everything off, he stretched his body.

Shelly stared at his upper torso with a surprised look on her face.

Ethan pinched her cheek to wake her up from trance.

Ethan wore his changeover that was on the table, comprising of a blue dotted pattern short sleeve and a pair of blank pants.

After dressing up he grabbed Shelly by the hands and led her out of the room.

Outside, a nurse holding a tray containing his morning medicine was shocked beyond comprehension when she saw him.

He reached the office of the doctor and paid the ten thousand dollar before booking an online ride that came for both of them.

Ethan rest his head on the seat as he contemplated in his heart.

He would get his status, mission, skills and all the information about the system in the next two hours but he wanted to view them inside when he is alone.

Of course, everyone will call him insane for looking in a certain direction and talking to himself since they can't see the same window he is seeing.

They stopped off at Shelly's place and dropped her off, she waved at him with a smile on her face.

Inside the car, Ethan grew impatient until he reached his small impoverished building in a mini suburban area.

'I can make enough money to buy a new house with the system.' He sighed, walked inside the house.

However he discovered that most of his stuffs were gone, his small TV and his refrigerator and a few of his furniture.

Just as he was about to panic a knock came at the door, he rushed to open door and what greeted him was the bald head of his landlord.

He is someone with a twisted character, he becomes friendly when you aren't owing and act like you killed his loved ones when you owe him anything.

His name is Lugard, standing beside him were men with large muscles and stern look on their faces.

"You spoilt brat, what do you take me for? Do you think I'm foolish, you are trying to leave my house without paying me! And I won't let that happen. If you don't pay me today I'll ensure to burn your properties! What are you waiting for, go beat him up!"

Ethan watched with a frown as Lugard order the two men to attack him.

But for some reasons, he wasn't scared at all he stood still and was ready to fight.

One of them grabbed a wood from the ground and rushed toward Ethan.

In Ethan's feild of view, the guy holding the wood wasn't fast enough for him not to follow his movement.

As soon as he came closer, Ethan stretched his right hand to grab his neck while his left hand punched the wood out of his hand.

After taking the wood from him, he used his knee to attack his stomach sending him to the ground.

The man was on the ground holding his stomach, he was a body builder but that knee kick was so painful.

The other held his hands in front of his face and walked closer to Ethan.

Ethan grinned and leaped into the air, throwing a sweep kick toward his face.

"Ugh~" He moaned in pain as the kick pressed against his face.

After landing he sent another kick toward his family jewel causing the dude to faint on the spot.

Lugard watched with wide eyes as Ethan beat up the men he hired to beat him up.

'When did he become so strong, silly brat! He went ahead to learn martial arts just so he won't pay me my money.' Lugard pondered.

'My body feels so strong and weird, throughout my life I haven't been able to raise up my hands to fight those who oppress me but why do I suddenly become strong, strong enough to beat up two massive body builders in a span of one minute.' Ethan looked at his hands, he hasn't felt this strong since he was born.

'Anyway' He grinned and looked at Lugard deep in the eyes.

"Who took my stuffs away, you are the only one with the key to my room apart from myself." He asked.

Lugard gritted his teeth.

"Do you think I'm afraid of you just because you were lucky enough to beat those two, pay me my money and know peace." Lugard let out with a deep frown on his wrinkled.

Even if Ethan was strong like this in the past he wouldn't use his strength to avoid paying for things.

"If it's about your rent, I'll pay immediately I see my properties, alright until then farewell." After saying that he went back inside and locked the door.

He reached the torn and worn out sofa in the small sitting room and fell on it, he sat down and cooled his head.

On each of the stats there was a small question mark, Ethan stretched his finger and clicked on the question tag on Wealth.

[Wealth: Total worth of host, including properties owned, cash, bank savings..etc]

Ethan clicked on adventure and also on dimension, he has heard most of his nerd friends back in middle school days talking about video games starts and he got the chance to play a few times with them so he was aware of the use of those stats.

[Adventure: Numbers of missions completed and worlds visited]

[Dimension: A place outside this world where you can go and raise your level and wealth, each dimension can be opened with real life money and would close then disappear from the system after you clear it]

[Class: Like in in videogames, you can unlock otherworldly classes and use the power in that class. There are numerous classes and host can have more than one classes but only one can be activated at a time at current system level.]

'What about the missions?'

[In Missions, the system alerts the host once there is a new dungeon so the host can clear it and earn rewards and grow stronger]

After checking all the new stats, he discovered that the currency for the system was his real life wealth meaning he could purchase things with the system shop with dollars.
