Grace blushed because seeing Alexander on one knee made it look like he was proposing to her while holding the shoe he was about to wear her made her feel like she was Cinderella.

“Okay,” Grace replied then took her foot out of the flipflop and wore the shoe.

She did the same for the other foot, Laurel helping out so her friend doesn’t fall and everything went back to normal.

“What are we going to do about these?” Grace asked, talking about the flipflop.

Alexander carried them, stood up, and stretched them to her.

“You can have them”

“What? I can?” Grace asked

“Yeah. Even though I did as good a job as I possibly could, let’s not forget that this is a temporary fix. In case the unfortunate happens, you should have something you can wear instead of walking barefoot which as you’ve already said is very embarrassing”

Grace’s eyes widened in surprise.

“That’s very nice of you,” Laurel said.

“Thank you” Alexander gave her a charming smile.
