'Hmmm, New abilities..... This will be very interesting. I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of the Echelon System that I've been gifted. This will be an interesting journey that I can't wait to undertake.' Ezra thought as the early morning sun started to rise.
Abilities Gained:
Aegis of Dissonance: Liberation from harm.
Host gains the ability to create a field of energy preventing attacks from reaching him and others he intends to protect, it also enables the host to terminate targets by sending powerful shockwaves toward them
Phantom Drift: Liberation from gravity.
Host gains telekinesis and manipulation of gravitational fields enabling the host to lift himself and others in a flight-like ability, with proper evolution the Host can fly at high speeds along with his allies. It can also be used to destabilize your foes with proper targeting.
Resonant Bond: Liberation from isolation.
Host can form temporary bonds with allies and with proper evolution of the ability you can boost the abilities of your allies. This ability acts as an empowerment to your allies based on a symbiotic relationship somewhat formed with them
Ezra marveled at how much he'd actually evolved in his abilities and how he'd strengthened himself by training in captivity, he smiled and couldn't wait to express his abilities.
'The time has come for me to grow not only in strength but in understanding my abilities, along with strengthening my understanding of the Echelon System. I must embrace this new identity.' Ezra thought as he looked through the carriage window.
It didn't take long before Ezra heard the Coachman holler something.
"We've arrived in the beautiful nation of Hanjaq, and we're heading to the right destination, " the coachman hollered, attracting the attention of Mira, who was asleep.
The Carriage kept moving quickly until it arrived in front of an open green field as Ezra alighted along with Mira, the Coachman went on to park the Carriage.
"Are you sure our stuff is safe?" Mira inquired.
"Oh don't worry I've paid him to take care of our travels until we get to the nation of our destination. I just want you to start your training here Mira. We'll need to work on your speed if you want to be an effective warrior." Ezra commented as he walked into the open field.
Mira followed but watched as Ezra did up to seven backflips without flinching once, he looked so confident and swift in his backflips.
"Don't worry with time you'll learn how to do this when you're strong enough," Ezra said in a low tone.
Mira had to depart from the open field to change into her training clothes as they'd stopped over on their way to Hanjaq to buy new clothes.
Ezra immediately took his teaching stance as Mira had changed into her training clothes so she could be ready to undergo whatever Ezra had for her.
"Alright, I'll be the one to start it off," Ezra commented.
Ethereal Step!
In an instant, Ezra dashed forward in a manner that normal eyes would deem it that he went completely invisible but in fact he was completely walking in an order of speed the eye couldn't detect.
Mira looked at him and was shocked to see him completely disappear before her very eyes, she couldn't even hear footsteps that was how fast he moved.
'This is the same moves he used on Master Lorrin and he executed it so well, tapping into a level of speed that even Master Lorrin couldn't even perceive.' Mira thought as she felt a light tap on her back.
"What's going on?" A familiar voice asked.
Mira turned and not surprisingly it was Ezra standing behind her and he wore a confident smile on his face.
"What you just saw is called Ethereal Step, an ability that amplifies your speed to a supernatural level enabling you to go beyond the speed of sound," Ezra explained.
"Ethereal Step enables the user to travel at Supernatural speeds blurring the lines between speed and teleportation. You move so instantly with reflexes defying the human limitations." Ezra furthered his explanation.
"So how exactly do I achieve the Ethereal Step?" Mira inquired.
"Good question. You're catching on, dear student." He responded to her inquiry.
Ezra sets himself in a running position similar to an athlete at the start of the race before the gun is shot.
"You must focus your strength on your whole body and allow yourself to be free. Eliminate human limitations from your mortal mind and become one with speed." Ezra said before zooming into the distance and returning instantaneously.
Mira nodded affirmatively and did as she was told, staying in such a position and allowing her mind to become free.
In her attempt to activate the said speed she still ran at the normal rate she could run.
"Try again Mira!" Ezra hollered.
Mira attempted the move and only for her to stumble and fall on the green grass brushing her face against nature's beddings.
"Again Mira." Ezra hollered expecting Mira to find the zone.
Mira attempted to move again only to end up failing over and over.
'It seems the more I try not to give up the more my strength fails me and I seem not to understand how he does it. Is there something I'm probably missing here?' Mira thought as she stroked her chin.
Once more she took an athlete's stance, controlled her breathing, and freed her mind from the shackles of her own self limitations.
In an instant, Mira leaped and disappeared from sight traveling at supernatural speeds as her feet carried her so swiftly.
Mira opened her eyes and realized that she had just done Ethereal Step and it took her only seven hours to achieve the move.
She found her way back to the open field and was filled with happiness.
"Ezra I did it. I really did it this time." She said from happiness but to her shock, Ezra wasn't there.
"Ezra?" She called.
