William, after a month of leaving his grandfather's big company, Grand Street Commercial, was looking for a new job. Although he didn't admit to working there, his good educational values made him optimistic about job opportunities elsewhere.

However, challenges arose. Some large companies already had internal recruitment systems in place, and did not accept outside applications. Even when William tried to apply for important positions, they said the positions were already filled. If William wanted to work, he had to start from a regular staff position or even an office courier. No matter how smart he was or how many good grades he had, without a network, getting a position in the company became almost impossible.

While William was busy looking for a job, his phone rang. It was Vera, an old friend he rarely heard from. Her voice sounded serious and urgent, "William, we need to talk. There's something we need to discuss."
