"Rescue mission?" asked Noah.

"A team of soldiers was sent to Tatsfield Village in south London. They left five days ago, but there has been no news of their arrival," Samuel replied.

"Is it possible that they have—"

"That's what I'm afraid of. The number of Beast Slayer soldiers is getting fewer by the day; many of them have died due to failing to win against the beasts," Samuel interrupted, glancing to the side to look at Kira's worried face.

Noah glanced to the side, also watching Kira's face intently. It was undeniable that the quality of Beast Slayer soldiers was declining, especially after the beast horde attack on the city academy.

Also, the number of people interested in joining the Beast Slayer had decreased; even graduated cadets refused to join them.
