CHAPTER SIX

Helana was stunned as she could not believe that Richard was the one who just slapped her, siding a stranger over her.

"Do you realize who that is? The heiress of the Jade family?" Richard thundered.

The words were like a sudden stab right through her heart as she could not believe that it was someone that powerful.

"But what's she doing with Xander?" She shivered even harder.

"We want to go and get a meal," Lina responded with a smirk on her face.

The war could be equated to a flash of lightning bolts running through the spine of everyone present.

They still thought that she might be joking about that. But having dinner with the Almighty Jade's family was something that all of~~~~ them that were present there were going to die for.

Helana shivered, knowing just how much trouble she had gotten herself into. If the Jade family wanted you dead, they were going to do it and nobody was nobody finds out anything about it.

She understood why Richard did what he did now. Even if she was in his position, she would have done the same thing.

"Please forgive us," Richard said, turning over to Lina.

"Forgive? When she tried to slap me? When you hurt the person that is closest to you? Do you dare to get into a duel with the Jade family?

Or do you think your Father and everyone in your lineage can compare to ants before us?" She thundered.

The resounding of her thundering voice sent cold chills down their spine.

"We are sorry." They apologize all together with sincerity in their voice.

"Just say the word and we are going to do anything that you tell us." They muttered almost at the same time.

"Anything?" An evil smile hovered on Lina's face but they were too desperate to notice it. Their fears clouding their right judgment."

"Yes, anything." They responded quickly.

"Then, since I am not the one with the major wrong here. I want you to kneel before Xander and apologize to him right away." She said,

A sudden cough escaped from their mouth. In their opinion, kneeling before that punk called Xander was certainly no different than stepping on shit.

They could not speak for a while as they were dumbstruck.

"Choose what you want. Kneel before him or the destruction of your family." She said.

The former was more grieved but it might be that they were going to lose their ego.

Richard's father on the other end was having problems with his company and was planning to open a co-peration with her family soon.

If he has anything about his son shattering his relationship with the Jades, it is not going to be a good thing for him.

Seeing her husband already floating with defeat, Helana knew that there was absolutely nothing that she could do about it.

Her bones were weak and the both of them knelt before Xander with apologies on their lips.

"We are sorry." They apologized quickly.

Without taking a bit look at them Xander turned over to Lina as he was already fed up with the event.

He was both irritated and had an awkward air around him already.

"We should get going." He said.

Lina nodded her head, flinging a deadly glare at the both of them.

"You should be grateful that your husband is so considerate." She said and they turned to leave.

The guards gathered them From behind and walked them off into the care, Xander being treated like a celebrity all through.

The dinner was not going to be held in the family house anymore. It turned out that her grandfather was sick so it had been fixed for a later date.

"My grandfather will not be able to see you anymore, he just went for a medical checkup." She said and Xander nodded his head.

He was already someone nervous to face the most talked about trillionaire in the city in the first place.

"But I could treat you for a meal." She finally said.

She brought out her cell phone from her pocket to scout for the best restaurant in the city.

Lina wanted to give her the best treat ever that he was not going to forget in a long while.

Then, one of them caught her attention. The most luxurious restaurant in the city, especially for government representatives who came into the city a while ago.

Ever since that time, the restaurant has only been presided over by members of the biggest families in the city.

She was the outing type and this was why she didn't know this. It wouldn't be bad if she tried it herself.

Whispering to the driver, she was soon dropped off at the place. Lina turned over to the guards and said.

"You can wait here." She said, feeling that Xander was going to feel uncomfortable being around such several people.

Even though the head guard was not comfortable with these words, he still nodded his head.

Meanwhile, Xander could not help but stare at the luxury of the hotel that lay before him. Laced with linens of gold and Silver, it was a sight to behold.

Lina caught a glance of her stare and a smile hovered on her face as she beckoned to him.

"You can come in." She said with a smile still there.

Xander joined her from behind until they finally came to the large lobby. There was a guard there and they walked up to him.

"We would love to book a meal." She said following the words that he had read online.

There was a weird expression on his face but he was still able to maintain his professionalism.

"Is there a problem?" Lina was able to pick up a quick change of his expression.

"Certainly not. I will get the lobby manager right away." He smiled and walked off from the place.

Soon, they heard the clicking of heels coming from the upper stairs. The lobby manager was a beautiful lady with the perfect grace but immediately her eyes laid on Xander, and her initial facial expression changed into a scornful frown.

She turned to the guard, her face dripping over with anger.

"Did you have to call me over to attend to beggars? Didn't you know what to do?" She flared.

Cold chill through the spine of the guard. He was only trying to act professional but guess that was only going to get him into a lot of trouble.

"Beggars?" Lina could not help but scoff.

"Guess everyone is doing a good job getting on my nerves these days." She clinched a thought, an angry frown on her face.

"Pardon?" Her eyebrows shot up.

For the first time, Lina's presence which seemed to have been clouded by Xander's was noticed.

"And you must be his wife, conned as his secretary for some poverty alleviation scheme?" He was beyond stunned.

Lina's anger rose to her neck and she could hardly breathe anymore.

"Call me that one more time and you are not going to like what I am going to do to you." Lina thundered with fury.

Her suppressive Aura was enough to send cold chills down the spine of the lobby manager who shuddered under the weight of her words.

But she braised up a few moments later. She certainly did not do anything to her, besides, they were in her territory.

"Just dare it again and see what I am going to do to you," Lina responded to her words.

Xander could already tell that something really bad was going to happen if he didn't intervene. He was already used to being treated like a piece of trash.

He tried as much as he could to calm her down but then, Lina was not going to listen to him..

The lobby manager smiled.

"Why don't you listen to your husband begging and try somewhere else where they are going to believe those lying lips of yours..." She smiled, wanting to add more disgusting lines or her words.

But the next thing she felt was a thunderous slap on her face. The lines of Lina's fingers reflected on her face making it hot red.

Xander was stunned.

The guard was stunned and so was the lobby manager.

"Nice going to make sure that you pay for this." She glared with all the anger that she could muster up in her.
