CHAPTER 64

Roman Lacroix walked on the treadmill slowly. He winced in pain as he pushed himself and his spine to do more. It was becoming his daily routine to walk on the treadmill. At some point, he had begun running on it but that had come with a price. He hadn’t been able to walk for a few hours after that. His spine had acted badly, and since then, he hadn’t tried it again. It had been a month and two weeks since the incident that almost destroyed his life. Now here he was back on the treadmill trying to get her back to his best.

A lot was waiting for him when he got back. He hadn’t left the house in a month and a half. He was certain that everybody was questioning his whereabouts.
