CHAPTER FOUR

This was very annoying and embarrassing for Reynold because now people who were passing by were beginning to send stares their way.

And this whole situation was looking like he had hurt a lady.

"I didn't even do anything to you. What could I have done, you never gave me attention, it was all about work or your sister or your mother. Still, I stood by you, I stood with you... I have sacrificed so many things so you could keep your job. I did it all because I loved you and you want to cast me aside like this?!! This is unfair Rey, this is so unfair!!"

She blabbered with a loud cry, sniffling her nose at intervals.

Reynold walked closer to her and bent down as if he was being apologetic and realized his mistake. He had no choice, people were beginning to look at him with scornful gazes.

'It's unfair how society is very permissive of women'

He held her gently, leaned closer to her ears, and whispered -"I know you have a bit of dignity in you even if you are a slut who slept with my boss. I have evidence and if you don't want me to disgrace you, kindly stand up and get out of my sight."

A frown creased her brows, quickly turning the tearing eyes to an angry face. She stood up agilely as she saw that her tactics to feign tears did not work on him.

"You know what? Fuck it! Fuck you! You go on and on about how I cheated on you. Yes, I cheated on you! I cheated on you because you were a poor and wretched soul. I was patient, even though my friends abused me, I was patient because I believed you had the potential to be great but all you cared about was your sick mother and your sister, like I didn't matter. You know what I'm gonna sue you! I will sue you for wasting my time! I will sue you for a fine of $20,000 for wastage of time! For all these years we spent together, you have to pay for it!"

She grinned, "You couldn't even satisfy me sexually, your boss had a far better game than you. I am going to sue you for that too."

Reynold chuckled. This was embarrassing, she was a very big liar. However, trying to spell out to her times when she would scream his name in pleasure was not something he wanted to do at a time like this. He just wanted her gone.

'Fine, since you are going to continue to be bitch, then I'll play this card.'

Reynold dipped his hand into his pocket and brought out a card. Her eyes narrowed as she saw it.

It was a marriage permit.

She curled her lips.

"Ah, I see... so it was all a play. You were going to propose to me? Ah, how foolish of you... I already told you, I can't marry–“

"Don't be delusional." Reynold cut in before she could finish her statement.

"Why will I get married to you? Am I mad? I am getting married and it's not you. You mean nothing to me and I don't want to ever see you again. I want you out of my life. You can go fuck anybody, I don't care."

Her eyes widened. Revelation dawned on her. That marriage permit was real.

She frowned.

"You bastard, you betrayed me.”

"Betray you? No, my dear. You betrayed me and someone else jumped right at the opportunity. What? Did you think I was gonna come groveling at your feet and begging you to love me after I caught you cheating with my boss?"

Her frown got intense, forming lines of distress all over her face. That seemed to have been the case, she thought that the simping Reynold would still beg her despite catching her cheating, that was how much she knew that he loved her.

That was supposed to be the scenario, she was one hundred percent sure. In fact, it would have happened just as she predicted—if not for the interference of a certain lady.

Getting his mother's treatment money, was all he needed, his eyes were now opened and he could see his girlfriend for the kind of person that she was.

"I don't care about you. You can live your life however you want it. Fucking get lost!”

Reynold stated, putting the permit back into his pocket.

Looking at his face, she could see that there was no shred of playfulness, his words were correct, he wasn't saying it to make her pissed and jealous so she would beg him.

Even if it was the case, she would never beg him.

"Well, I pity the woman that will be marrying you." She adjusted her clothes and picked up her designer bag that had been on the floor after she fell from just a slight brush on her shoulders.

"But mark my words, Rey. I will get back to you. I will take all that you owe me and will rest at nothing until I get all of it.”

She said and walked away, with a visible and fierce carriage of anger on her face.
