Chapter 3: Aboli Campbell

Alice's mother almost immediately froze when faced with Ethan's gaze. 

However, her son's yelling grew louder by the moment. 

Alice's mother seemed to just wake up at this moment. 

She quickly shouted, "Security, where is security?!"

Not only the security but also the passersby were attracted by her yelling, quickly noticing the chaos here. 

At this point, the security had also rushed out and quickly moved towards Ethan, shouting, "Hey, what are you doing? Do you know who these people are?!"

The security didn't care about who was right or wrong. 

He didn't know the conflict between Alice and her brother, he just knew they were mother and son. 

He needed Alice's praise, so he would surely not hesitate to win Alice's mother's favor.

However, Ethan seemed to not hear the security's voice at all. 

His speed didn't slow down at all. Alice's brother's face was already bruised, crying incessantly.

Seeing this, the security grabbed a baton, advancing aggressively as if to attack Ethan. 

"Stop," a cold voice of a woman suddenly rang out.

Turning back at the sound, the security almost immediately halted, standing still, not daring to move. 

The girl with rare black hair and eyes had an icy gaze. 

Her face was exceedingly beautiful but also excessively cold, making her seem distant, causing people to admire from afar but not dare to approach.

With her status, ordinary people definitely couldn't come close. 

Because she was Aboli Campbell, the daughter of the Campbell family, one of the most powerful clans in the city of Gloria.

Aboli coldly glanced at the security and Alice's mother before suddenly walking towards Ethan. 

By this time, Ethan had already pushed Alice's brother aside. 

His entire face was swollen, looking at Ethan with fear before quickly crawling back to his mother.

Ethan looked at Aboli, his eyes devoid of much emotion, seemingly waiting for her to speak. 

Aboli slightly bowed, politely introducing herself, "Hello, I am Aboli Campbell."

Campbell? 

Ethan recalled, this was the surname of John's friend, so the girl in front of him must be the granddaughter of the person he needed to treat. 

As soon as Aboli finished speaking, the murmurs of the passersby began to rise.

"Oh my, that's Miss Aboli of the Campbell family. They say she's Mr. Campbell's favorite granddaughter!"

"The Campbell family has deep roots in the city of Gloria. With their help, gaining significant power in the city is just a simple matter!"

"Moreover, Miss Aboli is also amazing. It is said that she is currently the CEO of the Campbell Group headquarters. The future head of the Campbell family is surely her!"

Ethan heard these whispers, but his face showed no notable expression. 

After all, he had never cared about such things. 

Seeing Aboli's polite attitude, the anger in Ethan's heart momentarily subsided. 

He nodded, though he had already guessed, he still asked, "What do you need from me?"

Aboli quickly replied, "I was introduced by Mr. John, my grandfather needs you. Please come with me immediately."

As soon as she finished speaking, three tall men descended from a luxury car in the distance. 

They were dressed in black, their muscular bodies exuding power.

Aboli said, "They are the guards I trust, ensuring that no fool will dare to bother you in the future. Let's go."

The guards stood on either side, surrounding Aboli and Ethan. 

Ethan's expression remained unchanged as he calmly entered Aboli's car. 

Alice's mother was unwilling; she ran up, wanting to pull Ethan back. 

However, a guard stepped forward, and Alice's mother almost flew backward upon hitting the solid body of the guard.

The guard rolled his eyes at her, speaking sternly, "If you continue to act foolishly, don't blame me for dealing with it forcefully."

Alice's mother recoiled, not daring to advance any further. 

And so, the Maybach car, worth a fortune, drove away under the watchful eyes of everyone without anyone daring to voice an opinion.

After Ethan's group left, Alice's mother regained her composure. 

She immediately looked at the guard with resentment, saying angrily, "Why didn't you stop them?! Useless!"

The guard sounded a bit disgruntled, "Do you think I could have stopped them? Do you know who that girl was? That was Aboli Campbell, the business genius of Gloria City, who will inherit the entire Campbell family in the future! Offending her, our company could collapse in an instant!"

Alice's mother pursed her lips, her eyes filled with disbelief. 

How could Ethan, of all people, know such a woman?!

At that moment, Alice's voice suddenly rang out from behind them, "What's going on?"

The guard immediately bowed his head, while Alice's mother rushed forward, expressing her anger, "Alice, your ex-husband just unreasonably attacked your brother! Clearly, your brother was just trying to seek justice for you! We firmly believe Ethan must have done something wrong to you for you to leave him!"

The guard, standing aside, was truly amazed at this woman's ability to fabricate stories. 

Ethan almost instantly became the villain through her narrative. 

However, the guard remained silent.

Alice glanced at her mother, her eyes cold. 

She had divorced Ethan, but she still understood him. 

Regardless, Ethan was truly a kind-hearted person; he would never do what her mother had just described.

She spoke calmly, "Stop saying meaningless things; Ethan would never do that."

Almost immediately after she finished speaking, her brother, lying on the ground, exclaimed, "Look, he hit me like this, and you still don't believe it?!"

Hearing this, Alice's mother also frowned, persistently saying, "Ethan is not as kind and gentle as you think, Alice."

Alice looked at her mother, speaking in a low voice, "Regardless of anything, I was once his wife. I understand him better than you."

With that, she prepared to leave, completely ignoring her mother and brother.

But at that moment, her mother's voice, tinged with anger and sarcasm, suddenly rang out, "So, do you know what just happened? Ethan just got on a car and left with a beautiful and powerful woman. Did you ever suspect this?"

Alice almost stopped in her tracks, immediately turning to look at her mother, her eyes filled with suspicion.
