CHAPTER 5

If signing this divorce papers was going to free her from her perceived hardship and suffering, if it was going to mean that he would no longer be held responsible the scorn, disdain and hardship she had faced in the past four years, if this was going to make her happy then he was ready to let her go.

Romeo signed the documents with a heavy heart and heavy eyes which were filled with tears.

"Hmmm, finally, that is done." Mrs Davidson smiled satisfactorily as she picked the documents and admired them. She sighed. "And for the divorce settlements…"

"I don't need your shitty money." He said in a cold voice. "I need just my dead daughter, so I can bury her."

Mrs Davidson snorted. "I am sorry Romeo, but that won't happen…"

Romeo in anger lunged towards her. He held her neck and pressed her against the wall, causing everyone inside the ward to gasp in surprise.

"You were successful in making me look like a good for nothing in the eyes of the public, you were successful in making sure that I was separated from your daughter, but now Mrs Davidson I swear to God Almighty, if you do not let me take what is mine and leave, all hell is going to break loose and not even your money, fame or connections is going to stop what I am going to bring upon you and your family." Romeo said as he gritted his teeth.

This was the first time Mrs Davidson was scared of Romeo Stewart.

Andrew was scared, and wanted to be the man here. He lunged towards Romeo, but the piercing eyes that was shot at him caused Andrew to halt.

Those eyes carried a mixture of anger, hate, Romeo had the eyes of a predator at that moment and it almost swept Andrew off his feet.

"You want peace right, you want me out of your lives right? Then let me take what is mine and leave…I would not ask again."

Flanagan picked up his phone and called 911.

Even though Flanagan was describing Romeo's features in his call with the law enforcement, Romeo didn't pay any attention towards him.

"You can take your daughter and leave." Mrs Davidson struggled to say, as Romeo had his hands wrapped round her throat.

"Good." Romeo let her go and moved to pick up his dead child. Linda was crying the whole time.

As Romeo neared the threshold of the ward, Mrs Davidson drew his attention. "Romeo, you scum bag of a man. I don't want to see your deadbeat ass any where near my estate because if I do, mark my words, you would end up in jail!" She bellowed in anger.

Romeo turned to Mrs Davidson with the his daughter's corpse in his hands. "Someday your family and that of Andrew Baines would kneel down and beg me, regretting how badly you treated me, I guess by that time, I would be so glad that I am not God the all forgiving father."

Immediately he turned to take his leave, however insults and curses were hurled at him.

"You are a bastard and you would never find love. God Almighty would punish you for the pain you have cost my daughter. You are a cuuuurse!" Mrs Davidson yelled as tears rolled down from her cheek.

"I hope to see you in jail someday you good for nothing being with no roots or ancestry!" Yelled Flanagan.

The noise in the ward drew the attention of multiple staffs in the hospital and they rushed to the scene only to find a rough looking man in his middle thirties carrying a baby who they thought was asleep.

They had no idea Romeo Stewart was carrying a corpse.

As Romeo neared the exit of the hospital, he saw about four police officers, clad in their uniforms making their way towards the entrance.

That didn't bother him even when he was aware that they had been invited by Flanagan. Carrying his dead daughter, he walked past them.

He walked out of the hospital gates and strolling on the main road, he walked into the dead of the night.

Following the divorce and Mrs Davidson's warning against his presence anywhere near her estate, he had nowhere to go to make matters worse, the rain that was drizzling, turned into a heavy downpour, immediately drenching his clothes.

He cried while holding his dead daughter tight to his chest, in fact seeing her dead caused him more pain than that which he had endured in the street fights.

With the night, cold and a bit lonely, Romeo found a closed kiosk and he stood under the roof of the kiosk to shield himself from the rain.

After sometime, Romeo began to perceive some offensive odour from his daughters corpse, however he didn't need telling that he was supposed to bury his daughter.

He looked around and soon found a spot with some loamy soil which was a stone throw from the kiosk.

He left the lifeless body of his daughter at the corner of the kiosk and moved to dig up the soil so he could bury his daughter.

Lucky for him, he found a rusted spade beside the kiosk, however that didn't mean that the lack of any spade would have deterred him from burying his daughter, no it wouldn't.

After digging he went back to the kiosk were his daughter was and carried her. He thought for a bit, then he took out his phone from his pocket.

He dialled a number and at once a voice was heard in the background.

"Hello Tommy." Romeo said.

"Hello my prince, it has been a long time." There was some excitement in his voice.
