Chapter 186

Cecil fumed in his house while he waited for his men to return. He had sent them on a very important mission, one that could possibly turn the tides of the entire drag of power.

When Cecil heard that they were back, he quickly rushed down to meet with them. However, the men had a gloomy look on their faces.

"What is it? What happened?" Cecil asked them. The men exchanged glances before one of them spoke up

"Sorry boss, but the house was empty," he said to Cecil.

"Empty? What do you mean empty? Lecter's mansion is never empty. It's always filled with people and we know this!" He said to the man.

"Yes boss. However, not this time. The mansion was empty. There was no one there. Not even a dog. It was as if they vacated the place," the man replied.

Cecil was in shock. There was no way Lecter could have predicted accurately what he wanted to do, right? Or did he have a spy in his house? Someone reporting his works to Lecter?

"What did you do about the house?" He asked the man.
