"YOU BASTARD, RAYMOND!" Vincenzo shouted angrily in Raymond’s office. "How dare you postpone my inauguration as heir's Morris again! Are you tired of living, huh?!"
"Sorry, Mr. Vincenzo. But Morris Corp is dealing with internal issues. I need to resolve them first—"
"I don’t care! That’s your problem, not mine! What’s the point of Mr. Simson still paying you all this time, huh?!" Vincenzo cursed.
"I’ve been waiting for this moment for years, ever since Mr. Simson passed! Now you’re messing it up!"
"But—"
"I don’t want to hear it! You have to hold that event next week! Got it?!" Vincenzo had already announced the official ceremony date to the world. If the Cornell family found out it was canceled, he’d be humiliated.
"Sorry, I still can’t do that," Raymond politely refused. "The earliest would be a month from now. If you don’t agree, I can cancel it at any time," he said with a slight edge of threat.
"Bastard!" Vincenzo grabbed Raymond’s collar and glared at him. "How dare you threaten me! Do you forget who I am?! I’m the grandson of your master, so I could kill you and no one would know."
Raymond’s expression remained calm, unfazed by the threat. "I’m not sure you’d go that far, Mr. Vincenzo. Because Mr. Simson appointed me as your representative. You can’t inherit Mr. Simson’s entire fortune without my signature."
CRASH!
Raymond didn’t flinch as Vincenzo punched the wall near his head.
"You bastard!"
"I’m doing this for your own good, Mr. Vincenzo. All this time, I’ve been the one working to keep Morris Corp successful after Mr. Simson’s passing, while you’ve been busy partying with your friends. Do you want Morris Corp to go bankrupt?"
Vincenzo roughly released his grip. "Fine. If you postpone it again, I swear I’ll kill you!"
Vincenzo stormed out, and Vivien entered. "Are you okay, Dad?" She was Vincenzo’s personal assistant and Raymond’s daughter.
"I’m fine." Raymond quickly dialed Alexis. "Young Master, I’ve done as you instructed."
"Thank you, Raymond."
The line went dead.
"Who were you calling, Dad?" Vivien frowned. "Why do you call him 'young master'?"
Raymond smiled fondly. "You’ll find out soon."
Meanwhile, Alexis was soaking in a hot bath at his newly purchased mansion, which came with all the luxuries: a golf course, a gym, and more.
Alexis put his phone down and smirked. "It won’t be that easy for you to live happily, Zelle, Vincenzo."

"Canceled?!" Lenora exclaimed in shock.
"What’s going on, Zelle?! Why was the ceremony canceled again?" Helen and Adam protested.
"I don’t know either. Vincenzo didn’t explain anything," Zelle muttered quietly.
"Tsk! I was so ready to take over all of Vincenzo’s wealth! If you marry the sole heir of Morris Corp, we’d have access to all his businesses and could make even more money!" Harold sneered, disappointed.
"Why don’t you just press him, Zelle?" Zilda suggested.
"Talking is easy! I’m sure Zelle has already done her best!" Lenora defended her daughter.
"I have more bad news," Zelle spoke again.
The entire Cornell family tensed. "What is it?"
"Alexis is still alive, and now he can see."
"What the hell?!" Leonardo, Zelle’s cousin, swore out loud.
"Don’t talk nonsense, Zelle! That’s impossible, we killed him. If he really survived, there’s no way he’d have the money for a donor," Mikaela argued.
"I don’t know. He’s so different now. He’s much healthier and... more handsome." There was a hint of regret in her voice.
"Do you still love him?" Mikaela teased. "I wouldn’t mind stepping in as Vincenzo’s fiancée."
"You can always go back to that loser anytime, dear," Zilda chimed in.
Zelle remained calm, despite the insults from the entire Cornell family. "Even if I’d allow it, it’s not up to Vincenzo. He wouldn’t want you as his wife because you’re ugly and dumb."
Laughter erupted in the room. Lenora, her husband, and the rest of the Cornell family laughed hysterically.
Except for Harold and Zilda, Mikaela’s parents. The woman lowered her head in shame because Zelle’s insult was true. She wasn’t prettier or smarter than Zelle. She hadn’t even earned a position at Cornell Corp like Leonardo.
"Stop insulting my daughter!" Zilda snapped, furious. "Just because you managed to steal Alexis’s wealth, doesn’t mean you can belittle my daughter. Besides, you’re not even officially Vincenzo’s wife yet, so he can cancel your wedding anytime!"
"How dare you curse Zelle!" Lenora shot Zilda an angry glare. "Without Zelle, you’d all be beggars! You should be thanking her. Besides, you can’t be offended because Zelle’s right. Mikaela’s dumb and ugly, so Vincenzo doesn’t love her!"
Harold, Zilda, and Mikaela fell silent, their faces full of disdain.
"Come on, darling. Let’s go!" Zilda immediately led Mikaela and her husband out, feeling frustrated.
"I’m sick of constantly being insulted by your damn family, Harold!" Zilda scolded her husband. Her fists clenched tightly. "You have to do something to destroy them!"
"But what can I do, huh? I’m just a manager at Cornell Corp! Even Zelle has more power than us because she’s Vincenzo’s fiancée!"
Zilda snapped her fingers. "I’ve got an idea! Mikaela has to steal Vincenzo away from that bitch and become his wife!"
"I agree!" Harold shouted. "If you manage to become Vincenzo’s wife, you’ll control both Cornell Corp and Morris Corp, and we can kick Helen and Harold’s family out of this mansion."
"How do I do that?" Mikaela frowned, feeling defeated. "I don’t have any talents to win Vincenzo over."
"Don’t worry, darling." Zilda caressed Mikaela’s cheek, encouraging her. "You don’t need to be smart to win a rich man like Vincenzo. You just need to be pretty and know how to seduce him, like your mom."
"You’ve got a month before their wedding," Harold interjected.
Mikaela nodded. "I’ll do whatever it takes to restore our honor." She was tired of always being sidelined in the Cornell family. Everyone only knew Zelle and Leonardo as the CEO and Vice CEO of Cornell Corp.
"Mom has Vivien’s number, Vincenzo’s assistant. We can find out his whereabouts through her." Zilda dialed Vivien’s number. After a moment, she picked up.
"Hello. Who am I speaking to?" A soft woman’s voice came through the phone.
"This is Zilda Cornell, Aunt Zelle. Can I speak to Vincenzo?"
"Sorry, Mrs. Zilda, but Vincenzo isn’t in the office. He’s out clubbing sundown Club."
Zelda smiled widely. "Thank you for the information." She quickly ended the call.
"This is your golden opportunity, dear! Vincenzo is at the club! You need to look your best."
Mikaela grinned. "Okay. I’ll get ready." She rushed to the bathroom, did her beauty routine, and then came out in a very sexy dress.
Mikaela headed to Sundown Club with her driver. When she arrived, she entered the luxury club in New York. Many men tried to hit on her, but she ignored them, considering them beneath her.
After all, her main target was the richest man in the world. "What are you doing here, Mikaela?"
Mikaela gasped. "Alexis?!"
"Alexis? Are you still alive?" "Yeah. As you can see," Alexis replied coldly. Mikaela glanced at Alexis with disgust. The green-eyed man was wearing a black tuxedo that looked cheap. "How did you even get into this upscale nightclub?" "I—" "Oh, I know!" Mikaela cut him off with a mocking laugh. "You must be a waiter here." "Can you stop insulting me?" Alexis snapped back. "Sure, but only if you were a rich man. I'd even be willing to lick your shoes," Mikaela said sarcastically. "Unfortunately, that's never going to happen because you’ll never be rich in your lifetime." Alexis lifted his chin. "What if I can prove you wrong?" Mikaela chuckled. "I’d sooner believe a rooster can lay eggs than believe you’re wealthy." She turned away and started walking toward the entrance. "Why are you following me?" Mikaela protested. "This door is for VIP guests only!" "I'm a VIP guest too." Mikaela burst into laughter. "Are you kidding me?" she mocked. "You need an access card
Alexis slowly opened his eyes. A sharp, unbearable pain seized his head."Where am I? What happened? Why does my head hurt so much?" Alexis wondered, finding himself lying in an unfamiliar room.He was shocked to find a woman lying next to him, completely naked.“Mikaela?!” Alexis sat up suddenly.“How could she be lying next to me? Did we—” He quickly shook his head. ‘No! There’s no way I slept with her!’Mikaela shifted slightly before waking up to the sound of Alexis's loud exclamation. "You're so noisy, idiot—" she suddenly sat up when she recognized his voice."What the hell are you doing in my room? What did you do to me?!" Mikaela covered her naked body with the blanket."Don't misunderstand! I didn’t rape you! I don’t even remember how we ended up in this room—"SLAP!“Liar!” Mikaela yelled, tears streaming down her face. “Is this how you get your revenge on me?!”“I’m not some bastard!” Alexis defended himself. “I hate you and your family, but I would never use such dirty met
“Get Alexis out,” Raymond ordered.“Are you sure? He’s the suspect the Greyson family reported, Mr. Raymond,” the warden explained politely.“Just follow my orders, or you’ll regret it.” Raymond glared at him.“Y-yes, sir.” With trembling hands, the warden unlocked the cell and released Alexis.“I’m sorry I arrived late, young master.”“No problem.”'Young master?'The two exited the building and got into a car.“What exactly happened, Mr. Alexis? How did you end up in prison?” Raymond asked, still in shock after receiving a call from Alexis’s bodyguard, who had secretly been following him.“It’s all because of Wayne Greyson and his father.” Alexis growled, his voice full of rage. “Wayne framed me and created a scenario that made it look like I assaulted Mikaela. That gave the Cornell family a reason to throw me in jail.”“He’s gone too far.”“Exactly. I want you to cancel the partnership with the Greyson Corp.”“I’ll take care of it right away, young master.”***“How about it, Dad?
"Are you sure you’re going to marry Mikaela, young master?" Raymond's voice came through Alexis’s phone. "Yes." Alexis glanced at Mikaela, who was sound asleep on his bed. They were currently staying at Carlos's orphanage—Alexis’s childhood home—since bringing her to his mansion was out of the question. "But she and her family insulted you." Alexis chuckled slyly. "I'm not marrying her without a reason, Raymond. This is all part of my revenge plan." "What’s your plan, Mr. Alexis? Allow me to assist you." "You’ll know soon enou—" "Tsk! You’re so noisy, Alexis," Mikaela grumbled, her voice groggy as she rubbed her eyes. "Who are you talking to, huh?" "I’m applying for a job." "This late at night? Seriously?" "It’s already morning, Miss." Alexis chuckled at her confusion. "Really?" Mikaela’s eyes widened as she pulled back the curtains. "Oh my God! I’m late!" She jumped out of bed and hurried to the door, grabbing her scarf along the way. "Late for what?" Alexis fol
“Congratulations, Vincenzo. Soon, you’ll officially become the richest man in the USA,” said a 55-year-old man as he shook Vincenzo’s hand.“Thank you very much,” Vincenzo replied confidently, flashing a smile as he shook hands with each distinguished guest approaching him.Meanwhile, Zelle stood elegantly by his side in a figure-hugging red dress that highlighted her flawless curves. Her poised demeanor and stunning appearance exuded sophistication, solidifying her image as the partner of the future heir to Morris Corp.“She’s incredibly lucky,” one woman whispered to her companion. “Her life will change completely once Vincenzo is officially named the heir.”The elegant atmosphere abruptly shifted as a man entered the room. His commanding presence drew every gaze, and the weight of his steps made a statement.“Who is he?” the guests murmured. Although they were all part of the elite, none seemed to recognize the mysterious man.Vincenzo’s expression darkened instantly. Anger simmere
"FUCK! Failure again!" The sound of shattering glass echoed as Vincenzo brutally knocked over the table in front of him. His face was flushed with rage. The room, once full of guests, was now silent, leaving only scattered glass shards and the awkward Cornell family.Zelle and her family exchanged glances. Disappointment was veiled behind their fake expressions of concern. They hadn’t been able to exploit Vincenzo’s wealth this time, but pretending to be a caring family was a duty they had to fulfill."Calm down, Vincenzo," Helen stepped forward, trying to salvage the situation. Her thin smile attempted to soothe him. "I'm sure Raymond must have a reason for not showing up."Vincenzo turned sharply, his eyes piercing through Helen. "A reason? Another piece of nonsense like that, I swear, I will destroy anyone who dares to stand in my way!"Everyone’s eyes were on Vincenzo as his fury boiled over. No one dared to oppose him. After taking a heavy breath, he grabbed his coat and left w
A man with a cold, fierce face entered a VIP room at one of the finest restaurants. The atmosphere in the room was already thick with an invisible tension."Finally, you’ve arrived. You made me wait too long," Vincenzo said, his voice low and sharp, as though there was no room for tolerance. He took a deep drag from his cigarette, exhaling the smoke calmly, as if savoring the tension that hung in the air.The room was deliberately dimmed. Only the soft glow of the lights reflected off the glossy black table surface, casting dark shadows around them."I had to secure the situation before coming here," Ernest replied briefly, his tone calculated, as he sat across from Vincenzo with a watchful demeanor."Did you bring what I asked for?" Ernest asked, his voice more of a command than a request."Sure," Vincenzo said, pushing a red folder across the table toward Ernest, as if delivering something of great value. "Here’s the official inheritance letter Raymond created, along with a sample o
"Where's my tuxedo, damn it?!" a man with an arrogant face shouted furiously in his room. His voice boomed loudly, echoing beyond the room. Alexis stumbled forward, clutching a cane to guide his steps as he was blind. Approaching the man, who was around 55 years old, Alexis handed over the tuxedo. "Here's your tuxedo, Mr. Howard Cornell," Alexis said, his blonde hair catching the faint light, holding the neatly hung tuxedo out. "You're so slow!" Howard snatched it roughly, glanced at it, then threw it back at Alexis' face. "You idiot! This isn't the navy tuxedo I told you to clean, damn it! I told you to clean the black one!" Alexis trembled. "I-I'm sorry, Dad I'll prepare it—" "You're useless!" Howard shouted, kicking Alexis' cane away, sending it skidding far across the room. He stormed off, leaving Alexis behind in a storm of rage. Alexis took a deep breath, trying to hold back his frustration. He had endured humiliation nearly every moment in this house. He knelt down
