"That's good news, Young Master." Zo's voice had a tinge of excitement.
"No, Zo. I'm not ready for marriage again. Isn't it weird? I just left one." Cage sighed.
"It's not weird. Chloe is your best friend. It's expected that you should marry her." Zo blurted out.
"Wait. I never said I was marrying Chloe. How did you…" Before Cage could finish his sentence, the line went off.
"That annoying little man." Cage glared at the phone screen.
He forgot to tell him to bring a car again.
Cage looked at his left side, and he saw a garage full of new cars.
"That looks like a car shop. I don't particularly like using taxis." He muttered to himself.
It definitely wouldn't be wrong if he bought himself a brand-new car.
"I'd buy the shop instead." Cage chuckled.
He walked into the shop.
"Anyone here?" Cage called. A fat man suddenly appeared.
"Yes, what do you want? We don't hand out alms today. Come tomorrow." The fat man rudely said.
"No. I don't… " Cage spoke, but he was stopped.
"What? You aren't here for alms? We don't give cars credit in this shop. You don't look like you can afford these cars." The man said to Cage before eyeing him.
"I'm not buying cars." Cage said with a smile, indicating he was here for a more significant deal, but the shop owner misinterpreted him.
"Are you here to waste my time, peasant?" The fat man barked loudly.
Cage frowned before speaking, "I want to buy the shop." He said as a matter of fact.
The man's eyes widened before he laughed out. His laughter turned into a coughing fit when he saw the platinum card Cage brought out.
"I want to use this shop for my own business. This is my card. How do I pay?" Cage displayed his seriousness in his voice.
The man knew he had no time to waste. The business wasn't moving anyway, so he had no problem selling it.
A few minutes later, Cage was proclaimed shop owner after signing some contracts.
The previous owner of the shop could not keep his mouth closed.
He wanted to sell the shop for a hundred million dollars, but this man had given him a hundred dollars.
"Keep the change, and don't inform your employees about anything yet." Cage muttered.
The man only nodded in response and handed the cars and shop keys to Cage.
Cage nodded. He picked up a car, locked the shop, and drove to his hostel.
He would come back here to proceed with his plans.
The following day arrived. Cage sat in his hostel with various thoughts in his head.
He had to get a house soon.
The money in his account could be tagged as limitless, so he was pretty relaxed.
"Hey Zo. Update me." Cage said.
"Young master, I found them. Every one of them." Zo said with a solemn note.
Cage's face darkened. "Speak." He declared.
"They have identities in different parts of the world. The only way you can get an inch closer to them is to get into their club." Zo explained.
"I need more, Zo. How do I do that?" Cage pestered.
"You have to reach the top three businessmen in the world, or you have to be daring enough to capture their attention." Zo continued.
A large smile appeared on Cage's face. A smile that had not appeared in a very long time. This smile was dangerous.
"Get me the names of all their top companies, starting from the smallest branch, Zo. We begin our movement after my marriage. I need to find my sisters." Cage said.
"Yes, Sir," Zo replied.
"I'll contact you later, Zo." Cage said and ended the call.
He needed to go house shopping and knew the right person for the job.
Lily stepped out of the luxurious car and moved to the passenger's side to open the car door.
She had a frown on her face.
"Why couldn't the boss just be a gentleman? Why do I have to drive the car?" She murmured.
Cage stepped out of the car. He didn't even bother thanking Lily for opening the door. The lady's face looked like she was on fire.
Right before them was an enormous estate filled with large mansions.
"Perfect." Cage sighed.
Lily felt proud of herself. She had recommended the place.
Cage walked through the entrance of the estate and into a large hall.
Many people wore black and white suits holding what looked like a board.
"Please hold on, Sir. I'll get one of my friends to attend to you." Lily said with a smile.
If Cage bought a house with her friend as his manager, she would also get compensation.
Cage waited for a while, playing some games on his phone. He made a mental note to set up a separate room for his games in his new house.
"Hello, Sir. I have returned." Lily said.
Cage looked up to see a young man beside her.
"Is this him?" Cage asked.
"Yes, Sir," Lily said with a wide grin.
"What is this nonsense, Lily? I thought you said you had a prospective buyer! This man looks way younger than me. Look at his dress!" The man exclaimed in annoyance.
"Gerald, mind your words." Lily cautioned him.
"I don't deal with trash, Lily. This man looks like a peasant. Look at his hair!" Gerald's voice attracted some onlookers.
Cage raised his hand to his hair in confusion. He wondered if he looked that bad.
"I'm out of here. Take him to a cheaper place, Lily. He wouldn't be able to afford anything here." Gerald hissed and walked away.
Lily was about to stop him, but Cage raised his hand.
"Such an embarrassment."
"I pity the young man."
The commotion had caused some whispering. Lily was a bit ashamed.
Cage resumed his game without a care.
"Hello, Sir." A lady with an angelic voice spoke up.
Cage looked up at her, and her shape and beauty blew him away.
She was average compared to Chloe, but she was better than Lily.
"Yes?" Cage answered.
"I'd like to introduce you to some houses. I think I know some of your taste." The lady smiled innocently.
Cage was mesmerized for a second. He regained composure and spoke, "Lead the way. Wait here, Lily. You did enough."
Lily felt ashamed. It wasn't her fault.
Cage looked at the tag of this new lady. Her name was Pearl.
"I'd like to see the top two expensive houses, Pearl." Cage ordered.
"Are you sure, Sir? They are costly." Pearl tried to warn him.
Cage nodded.
Pearl smiled and took him to the top two houses.
Calling the houses magnificent was an understatement.
"Everything used in this mansion was imported from the finest places, even down to the dishes," Pearl spoke confidently.
They went to the second apartment.
"This mansion was built by one of the top architects. Nothing placed here cost less than ten million dollars with the finest quality." Pearl said.
Cage smiled with satisfaction. These houses couldn't be compared to his family house.
He was going to buy them.
"Take this card. Pay for the houses." Cage said.
"Are you sure?" Pearl wanted to confirm.
These mansions were worth billions of dollars.
"I am." Cage confirmed.
Pearl was in shock as she watched him sign the contracts.
Suddenly, she began to see this man in a different light.
He was more handsome than any man she had laid her eyes on.
The earrings he wore accentuated his charm.
"Thank you, Sir. I'll be right back." Pearl said.
She had to go through all the procedures.
Pearl updated the mansion's status on the estate app, and the marketing agent went into an uproar.
Did someone buy the most expensive mansions?
"What crazy human is that? No one has bought those mansions in years because of their cost."
People were dropping comments on the app.
"Pearl was the one who sold them! TT" Someone almost cried.
"She's so lucky. I heard she went for the client that Gerald rejected." Another person shoved in.
Gerald almost vomited blood when he saw the comment.
He rushed out of his room to see Pearl sealing the deals with a handshake.
Gerald looked closer. It was indeed the man he rejected.
"Who cursed me with such luck?" Gerald cried. There was nothing he could do.
Pearl was the happiest person at the moment.
She had not gotten sales in a long while, so she had decided to try her luck with this man.
Pearl got a billion dollars as compensation for her sales.
That was just twenty percent of the money of the mansions combined.
Cage walked to Lily, who was downcast.
"The keys?" Cage asked.
"Aren't you going back, Sir?" Lily asked in surprise.
"No." Cage answered.
Lily couldn't believe her ears. She handed over the keys, which meant she would have taken a taxi home.
"Don't forget what I told you to do." Cage reminded her.
"Yes, Sir," Lily muttered and left.
Pearl escorted Cage to his new home. She wanted to grab this opportunity at once. She didn't care what it took her.
"Thank you, Pearl." Cage said as he stood in front of the mansion's door.
Pearl smiled. She had removed a few of her chest buttons, exposing her cleavage.
"If you don't mind, I can keep you company, Sir." She said in a low tone, squeezing her breasts together.
Cage was partially surprised. He admitted that she had a brilliant body.
However, he was never interested in things like this.
"It's fine. Goodbye." Cage uttered. He closed the door immediately, leaving Pearl in confusion.
"Did I say something wrong?" Pearl asked herself.
Cage slept well that afternoon and in his own house. He woke up, made coffee, and got ready for the party at the Williams."Good day, Sir. I have completed your request." Lily said from the other side of the phone."Good, prepare a contract for the company. They would assist us in creating a device." Cage started."What device, Sir?" Lily asked him."Good question, Lily. Remind me to increase your salary. I have purchased a car shop filled with cars," Cage ordered. After listening to his idea, Lily was shocked. It was a brilliant idea.Turning cars into taxis? She would never think of such things."You would monitor the earnings of the drivers with the device. A splendid idea, Sir." Lily said. She was filled with praise. "Yes, so get the documents ready. I'll be seeing you soon." Cage said."Please don't forget about my salary increments." Lily reminded him."That reminds me, Lily. You remember the invitation to the Williams house to see their graduating daughter?" Cage asked, tak
"Don't you think you took it far?" Cage spoke to Chloe in the car."You can't do it? I have known you since we were kids. I know what you are capable of, Cage." Chloe smiled at him.Cage hummed in positive. He knew she was right."Where is your house?" Chloe asked. "Just stop here." Cage replied. He didn't want Chloe to know much about him. "Thank you for the ride." Cage said when he stepped out of the car."You wouldn't show me your home?" Chloe quirked a brow."Not now, Chloe. I have to prepare to see your family tomorrow." Cage reminded her.Chloe's face dropped, but she understood.Cage walked to the estate. His car had been appropriately parked in his garage. His phone rang the moment he stepped into his house."Hello, Lily. I'm listening." Cage spoke into the phone."I did what you asked me to do. I have also prepared the contract." Lily reported.Lily hoped she could still help him out."Thank you, Lily." Cage uttered."Excuse me, Sir. Are you alone?" Lily spoke with a flirty
Cage walked over to Chloe. He pulled her close by the waist and kissed her on the lips."I'm sorry I'm late." He smiled at her.The crowd wooed them. They couldn't believe their famous bachelorette got herself a hopeless romantic.Chloe was stunned when she felt Cage's lips on hers. He felt like a completely different person.Did he do this to convince her family?Chloe didn't know why she suddenly felt sad about it.He did what she expected him to do. They needed to convince the world that they were in love."Thank you for waiting for me." Cage muttered against her lips.Chloe forced herself to smile. She was meant to be happy, yet she felt empty. "Oh, my goodness. Did you see that?" Someone in the crowd said. The media took pictures of the kiss, and they knew what their headlines would be the next day."He is so handsome. Look at the way he smiled at her.""Dear future husband, please be like Miss Chloe's fiancé."Almost every lady present couldn't take their eyes off Cage, and so
Emotions were very high after her grandfather had declared his intentions. Mason, who was still pale, could feel the blood beat in his brain as the humiliation settled. He couldn't believe it, it all felt so f*cking strange because he didn't expect anything of that sort was ever going to happen. Rochelle wasn't having it either. "You conniving snake!" She spat, glaring at Chloe venomously before her eyes quickly went to Cage. "How dare you deceive us all with your stupid lies and trickery?" Her loud voice had silenced the whole crowd. All they could do was watch as she ranted. "Don't listen to this man!! He's a liar!! And that bitch over there is just using him to garner some stupid sympathy and take everything away from me!" Despite her rantings and curses, Cage didn't move an inch. He felt they were all going to get what they deserved, and there was no turning back until he had achieved the satisfaction that he desperately craved from seeing these humans crawl and beg and cry. H
From the corner of his eyes, he saw the couple storm out of the hall in anger, but he couldn't have cared less. It was oddly satisfying, to say the least.Their passionate kiss was interrupted when Mr. Richland stepped forward. His eyes shone with pride and affection, despite the onslaught that had gone on earlier. He was the only one who differentiated the wolves from the sheep, despite his age. "My dear daughter," he began, sounding so emotional. "I have an announcement to make." The room immediately fell silent as one of the maids held out the microphone to speak. He briefly apologised for what had happened earlier and went on. "I have decided to announce Chloe as my successor because she has proven herself to be worthy of the title. She was the only one who stood by my side and helped me recover when others wished for my death." A collective gasp went through the room. It took a little while before the room finally went silent again. He went on again, thanking Chloe and Cage
He stopped the car once they were a safe distance away from the party. The light from his car died, and the darkness returned. Then he vented his spleen."Fuck! Fuck!!" A scream left his throat as he pummelled the steering wheel in pure rage before bowing and covering his face. He had been scalded."I'm going to kill that bastard! He has no idea who he's messed with. I will not rest until I've taught him a very big lesson, one he won't be alive to correct!" Rochelle was equally white with rage but she had not yet found the mouth with which to voice the way she felt at the moment. She had been thrown out of the party she helped organise, and to add salt to the injury, Chloe and her fiancé had somehow turned into their engagement party. Her knuckles were turning white with anger as the events of the evening replayed in her mind like a kind of broken record. Each time she remembered how her sister and her fake fiancé had treated them, her rage and resentment skyrocketed. It hurt her so
It was very difficult to discern the secret of Cage's success for most people, considering how fast and how insanely famous it had become in such a short time. Word-of-mouth spread like wildfire across the country, drawing crowds who were eager to experience the culinary delights his restaurants provided. Within weeks, it had become the talk of the town. But it wasn't to come without a price. He had put himself to work like one possessed, since he wanted to make sure that he made the most out of it. And from the look of things, his company was destined for even greater success. He had established many restaurants across the country to meet up with the demand. He spearheaded the whole thing with the help of his team- a handpicked group of brains who gave him strategic advice on how to run his business and so far they had not failed him. On this particular night, he had just arrived home from his first restaurant which was opened in the city. He had gone himself to make sure that eve
"Where the fuck are you!" He growled to himself, already starting to get nervous. He feared for the worst even though his tracks had been perfectly covered. Every incident that had led to this was impeccably executed. Something was wrong, and he hoped Cage wasn't behind it. If he was, then that was going to be the end. He couldn't imagine his mission ending before it even started. "Think, think!" He berated himself, wanting to be optimistic about the whole thing. But it was past time. He looked at the clock again and it seemed to stare back at him with the alarming reality. He was fighting so hard not to pick up the phone right now. The only sound in the room was that or his angry brooding and the ticking of the Victorian-esque clock tucked at the far corner of the wall. For Daryl, there wasn't any time to waste and f*ck around. Morality was just a facade and a construct of the weak-minded. For him, it didn't matter whether the path to conquest was paved with virtue or vice. What
