TENSE DINNER

Cillian sat at his desk in his study. He had been feeling uneasy for a while so he hadn’t left the house. He poured through an article while he had a glass of rare scotch before dinner. He didn’t drink a lot but on occasions he would have a glass. This was one of those occasions, when he was alone. No one to disturb him, no job to attend to, just some time to himself.

Cillian dropped the papers. Something was wrong and he could feel it. He was restless for some reason. He stared at the door then he went back to his paper. Just then a figure came in through the door. One look and Cillian finally knew why he was uneasy all day.

“Brother! I hope you missed me.” Micah said with a smile.

Cillian grunted as he saw his younger brother, and took a big swig from his glass finishing the contents. He looked at the scotch bottle in the cabinet. He didn’t waste any time in going over and pouring himself another hearty glass.

Micah tutted.
