Chapter 003

Edward knew he needed Albert’s help to find the girl who saved his life and learn more about his origin.

“What is her name?”

“Eclipse. That’s all I can remember.”

“Eclipse,” Albert repeated, rubbing his jaw, and promised. “I will do my best to locate this girl!”

“Thank you.”

“Your wish is my command, Master.” Albert smiled humbly.

“By the way, Master, I’ll be hosting a welcome banquet for you. I have invited top celebrities and businessmen who would like to be at your service.”

Edward tried to hide his frown but couldn’t. “That will bring unnecessary attention and trouble.”

“But young master—”

“Cancel the banquet.”

Albert nodded obediently. “Yes, Sir.”

Edward asked him to stop the driver at a restaurant so he could get breakfast.

“Thank you for the ride. In the future, consult me before hosting such a public banquet.”

“I understand. Thank you for accepting to treat my daughter.” Albert bowed deeply again before he drove away.

He understood why Edward needed to keep a low profile.

Edward had just become the Master Of Infinite Powers and was also a mysterious medical immortal.

A heap of people who relied on Edward were eagerly trying to establish connections with him.

If he revealed his identity and behaved affably, he would be surrounded immediately.

After breakfast, Edward decided to visit his fiancée’s family.

Even though he didn’t initially want to fulfil the engagement, his Master, Anthony, told him it was the most reliable way to learn more about his origin.

Edward complied because his fiancée’s name was on the jade plate his mother left him, which meant that she was connected to his origin.

He flagged a cab and instructed the driver to take him to Silver Villa, where his fiancée lived.

At Silver Villa, he was welcomed by their butler, who led him inside.

Just as Edward was looking around and admiring their mansion, a muffled roar of anger came from ahead.

“Who let this braggart in?!”

He knew that cold voice.

Edward turned to see that it was the same lady he met the previous day, the same lady at the hotel.

In the sunlight, the woman appeared even more elegant and beautiful.

Her fair skin seemed to be glowing.

Compared to yesterday’s disarray, she was dressed professionally today, which perfectly outlined her attractive figure and further highlighted her competence and aloof elegance.

But what was she doing here?

“You!” She screeched. “What are you doing here? Are you stalking me now?”

Grace couldn’t believe he had followed her to her home after she had warned him that they must go their separate ways.

‘He must be trying to blackmail me.’

She thought, her body shaking with anger.

“I’m not stalking you,” Edward responded. “I’m here to meet my fiancée and her family.”

“You’re lying again.” She fired back.

“You wish to marry me to inherit my family’s wealth. I’ve told you I’m not interested!”

“I warn you again, don’t push your luck!”

Edward rolled his eyes. “I don’t want to marry you, lady. I’m here to meet my fiancée, Grace Carter.”

“What?!” Grace staggered back in shock. “Did you say, Fiancée?”

“Yes.”

“Are you Edward Anderson?”

Edward nodded, and she gasped.

At that moment, Grace realized that Edward was the man her grandfather wanted her to marry.

Her grandfather boasted so much about her fiancé, but she had never seen him.

Grace eyed Edward from head to toe, feeling greatly disappointed.

Oh no! God must be joking!

She expected better!

She hoped for a gentleman from a dignified family, not a common braggart with no actual accomplishments.

How could her grandfather do this to her?!
