Chapter 4

Everyone looked in the direction the voice came from. An elderly man in a fancy suit was accompanied by ten black-clad men behind him.

Roland was surprised to see those people. He recognized the expensive suit the old man was wearing and he had great respect for the old man.

Roland bowed half of his body, then bowed respectfully. "Good afternoon, sir."

The old man walked slowly over to Aiden, then looked at him intently. "What happened?"

Roland again bowed respectfully, he carefully opened his voice. "Well sir, this waiter broke two expensive plates here and made a scene, arguing with two customers who had just arrived. The commotion disturbed all the customers here. Being inconvenienced, they left without paying first, even breaking the tableware, sir."

The old man picked up the plate that was on the table beside him. "Breaking a plate? Like this?" He let go of the plate and it fell to the floor, shattering into pieces.

Roland's eyes widened perfectly, shocked by what the old man had just done. Aiden was equally surprised by the old man's behavior.

Roland had already suffered enough losses, and now an old man was adding to them. He looked at the old man angrily. "What are you doing, sir? Why did you break the plate? This plate is very expensive!"

Roland didn't care that even though the old man was wearing expensive clothes, it was still his loss. He thought it was just a provocation.

Roland confronted the old man with a glare. "You must compensate, sir!"

The ten men dressed in all black took one step forward as they stared intently at Roland, instantly making him stand still and dare not move.

The old man looked at Aiden intently. "Do you feel angry?"

"Yes." Aiden nodded his head, agreeing. Of course he was angry after being so thoroughly humiliated by his own lover. He had fought for so much, only to have it plunge him into the depths of despair.

The old man picked up the plate on the side table and handed it to Aiden. "Sometimes people feel good when they vent their anger."

Aiden looked at the old man with a puzzled look, then the old man nodded his head as if he could read Aiden's mind.

Roland watched them and understood the two people's gazes. He shook his head while waving his hand. "No, what are you going to do stupid? Don't joke around! That plate is expensive."

Roland cursed inwardly. If Aiden broke the plate, he would have to compensate later. He would suffer a huge loss and his position would be in jeopardy. The owner of this fancy restaurant would definitely scold him severely.

Aiden began to slowly lift the plate up, causing the waiters to widen their eyes. They shouted. "Hey, idiot. What are you going to do?"

Two female servants covered their mouths while shaking their heads. "Don't let her break that plate."

The male servants were also shouting, trying to dissuade Aiden from breaking the plate. "You're not going to break it, are you? Remember, you haven't replaced those two plates yet! You're poor, don't play games. Where did you get the money to replace them?"

Roland pointed his index finger at Aiden. "Hey, stupid waiter. If you break it, I'll report you to the police."

Roland threatened Aiden not to do it. But Aiden, who was full of rage, obeyed the old man's words. Aiden lifted the plate high, then slammed it onto the floor. Instantly the plate fell, breaking into pieces.

Aiden has lost a lot. From being belittled by his own girlfriend, and losing the girlfriend he cared about all this time. Two years of love, risking and sacrificing everything he had for Lola, and now he ended up miserable. His life felt wasted. Lola had taken everything he had including his heart and soul.

Roland and the servants widened their eyes. Roland grabbed his hair in annoyance. "Gosh, damn it!"

The maids cried out in unison in surprise at the shattering of the plate. "Oh my, he really broke it."

They panicked, the male waiter rubbed their faces roughly. "You bastard, I curse you in jail."

The male waiter, who had worked a few months before Aiden, shook his head, unable to speak. Panicking because the restaurant lost a lot of money today.

Aiden seemed to understand. There was a strange feeling in his heart. He looked at the old man who was smiling at him. Aiden stared at the man, returning a faint smile.

The old man raised his right hand up, waving. Then two men dressed in all black behind him went into the kitchen. Roland and the servants watched them with confusion. What were they doing there?

Not long after, the two men in black returned with two food trolleys containing dozens of expensive plates. They brought them over and placed them near Aiden's body.

The old man raised his hand, pointing towards the two food trolleys containing dozens of expensive plates. "You are free to finish all the plates here. Break them, slam them, throw them, whatever. Take your anger out on these plates."

Roland shook his head while pulling his hair. "No, you guys aren't going to break them all, are you? Hey, stupid waiter, you've already broken three plates." He pointed his index finger at Aiden. "Watch out if you dare touch those plates!"

Aiden was annoyed. He picked up one of the plates in the food trolley and watched it closely. The one plate he had tossed earlier, made him feel satisfied inside. He threw the plate back onto the floor with a bang.

She had held all this inside her for too long.

The sound of the plate rang out loudly, making Roland grab his hair even harder. "Oh my, five plates. I lost 2,500 dollars. Damn it, what are you doing stupid! Stop it now!"

The servants were shocked, shouting loudly. "Hey, are you out of your mind? He really broke it."

Roland's jaw hardened. His chest felt hot like lava was steaming there. "You guys, stop him right now. Otherwise, you'll have to compensate for all the damage too!"

The servants panicked at Roland's threat. "Hey, damn it! Stop it immediately! Don't get us into trouble too!"

Several male waiters stepped up, about to approach Aiden to stop him from breaking plates. "Stop it right now you idiot!"

But before they had gone far, the men dressed in all black blocked them from getting even an inch closer to Aiden. They stared intently at the servants, frightening the male servants who dared not move.

Roland rubbed his face roughly. "Damn, what are you guys doing? Why are you guys just standing there? Quickly stop that stupid guy!"

The male servants silently looked at each other. They were frightened, nudging each other. "You go ahead."

The short-haired maidservant bit her lower lip, afraid that she would have to compensate Aiden for everything he did. "Hey, idiot, stop all this already. You have to compensate for this, don't make us compensate too. You know, we don't have much money. Just like you."

Aiden snorted in annoyance at their babbling. "Compensate? That's absurd! You're asking me to compensate ten thousand dollars for two plates and damage I didn't do. Damn it!"

Aiden smiled slightly. He felt satisfied after throwing two plates on purpose and swore, letting his thoughts out. He went back to get the other two plates in the cart, each of his hands holding one plate. In less than a minute, Aiden threw another plate onto the floor.

Roland, who was angry, shouted loudly at Aiden. "You son of a bitch! Don't break it again!"

However, the two men dressed in black who had gone into the kitchen earlier, raised their hands as a warning sign for Roland not to try to get even an inch closer. Roland was afraid to see the look in their eyes.

Roland became even more panicked and annoyed when Aiden again took four plates simultaneously in both hands. "Damn it, don't break those plates again! You're not listening, you idiot!?"

Aiden was getting more and more satisfied. The anger that was already boiling to the top of his head remembering all of Lola and Brian's bad words, made him even more annoyed and wanted to break all the plates.

Aiden again took more plates in both hands, then threw them all together loudly. He even savored the moment when the shards that fell to the floor and clashed with the rest of the scattered plates sounded loud.

Roland grabbed his hair tighter and tighter until a few strands got caught between his fingers. "Ah, damn it! My head is about to burst. I'll go crazy if this keeps up! Damn you, Aiden!"

The more Roland ranted in exasperation, the more satisfied Aiden became with breaking the plates. The clinking made Aiden's heart feel relieved, better than before.

Until twenty minutes later, Aiden's body was exhausted, sitting on the floor limply. I don't know how many plates Aiden had broken, but the sound of the broken plates continued to fill the restaurant.

Roland and the servants had to cover their ears, unable to bear the constant shattering of the plates.

"Gosh, I can't believe he actually solved everything..." The ponytailed waitress shook her head while covering her mouth, unable to believe what Aiden had done.

"Look at that face, tired of breaking dozens of plates in the kitchen. I wonder how many tens of thousands of dollars he'll have to compensate." One of the man's servants rubbed his face roughly, imagining that tens of thousands of dollars was a lot.

"This is so crazy. He's completely out of his mind. What a great find!" They cried out in fear. Their faces were panicked.

The ponytailed waitress began to cry, dreading to think how much money she would have to spend to compensate for this loss due to Aiden's actions. "It's bad, we're really in danger."

They were restless. Their entire bodies were covered in cold sweat. "Damn, damn Aiden. Idiot!"

Roland felt his heart stop beating at that moment and even his body felt weak. Just like Aiden, his two legs didn't feel strong enough to support his body. He fainted, almost falling over if he didn't sit down at the restaurant table immediately.

Roland's throat choked, even his tone of voice trembled. "Are you guys done...?" He stared at Aiden and all the people in black, especially with the old man who provoked Aiden to do that. "I'll put you all in jail!"

Aiden stared coldly at them. He felt that his life was no longer useful. It was unlucky and pathetic. Aiden no longer cared what his life would be like. "I will take responsibility."

Aiden didn't even know how he could take responsibility for all these losses. Whether it was imprisonment or whatever, he didn't care. His heart was now more relieved, it was even as if all the anger inside had simply disappeared, though not entirely.

Roland hardened his jaw, even to the point where there was the sound of clashing teeth. "Yes, you have to take fucking responsibility! You have to compensate for all these losses! You must take responsibility! I'll put you away for life!"

Roland kept repeating his words while shouting loudly. Suddenly, the old man pointed an index finger at him. "Shut that mouth of yours! You're being disrespectful!"

Aiden sighed heavily, no longer energetic. "Yeah, maybe I should just go to jail."

Aiden had nothing left. He didn't have any money because it was all used up by Lola. He had even lost his zest for life. Everything seemed to vanish and leave him.

But the old man laughed loudly, making everyone there look at him in confusion. He looked at Aiden. "No one will be imprisoned because my master owns this restaurant. And Mr. Aiden, is my young master."

Everyone widened their eyes, shocked at the old man's words. They were all frozen in place, unable to believe what the old man had said. How could Aiden, an ordinary waiter, suddenly become the young master of this luxurious restaurant?
