DIVORCE

"Hey Megan...!" Owen called out after her.

"Don't you dare abort my child!" He yelled. But Megan didn't stop and continued moving.

Owen moved on his hospital bed as he wanted to chase after her.

"Megan, don't do this...!" He shouted.

His body condition didn't allow him to move and he felt searing pain all over. As he groaned and shouted after Megan, a nurse rushed inside in panic.

"Mr Hudson, you shouldn't be moving about so fiercely. You're still in a critical state!" She said to him, trying to calm him down.

"Stop Megan, please..." Owen said with tears in his eyes.

The nurse looked at him with pity at his poor plight. She had heard everything from where she was outside the ward. But she couldn't do anything to stop Megan from doing what she wanted to do.

And there was almost no one who could help him.

Owen sobbed with tears. There was nothing he could do except stay where he was and wait for her to come back.

About an hour later, Megan and her mom came back inside and Megan even had a brighter face as though she had just achieved something wonderful.

"Megan. Tell me you didn't..." Owen stared at her as he asked.

"Of course I've gotten rid of the child. I told you I want nothing to do with you any longer, didn't I?" She retorted.

"I really hope for your sake that you have sighed those papers." Rebecca butted in.

Owen said nothing and only stared back at them. He had cried so much that he didn't even know if he could cry again.

Megan saw the document on the ground and checked it. Owen hadn't signed it.

"You won't sign it?" She asked with a voice of annoyance.

"This would have been much easier if you hadn't survived in the first place. My life would have gone much more smoothly..." Megan grumbled with a frown and total indifference.

Owen was once again surprised to hear the words that Megan said. This woman... She really wished that he died.

When did she become like that? Then Owen remembered what she had said to him the previous day: she had never loved him.

She was only trying her luck by marrying him because she felt she was getting too old and Owen looked like someone who would eventually succeed.

"Why are you even trying to live and cling to your useless life?" Rebecca asked Owen.

"You'll be better off dead, don't you think?"

As Owen was still listening to them in schock, Mr Martin walked into the ward with a bold and confident gait.

He flashed Owen a contemptuous gaze before he went closer to Megan and drew her into an intimate hug. Then the both of them shared a kiss under the watchful gaze of Owen.

"Let's get out of here, Megan. This place stinks" Martin said without giving any regard for Owen.

"And you haven't forgotten that we have a date right?" He asked with a smile.

"Of course not. I wanted to see if I could tie up some loose ends first." Megan said with a smile while flashing Owen a disdainful look.

"You don't have to worry about that trash." Martin replied without even taking a glance at Owen and using his hand to turn Megan's face back to his face.

"Let's go." He said and pulled her out of the ward as Rebecca followed after.

At this point, all the feelings that Owen had been feeling all converted into anger.

That Martin was the one who had made his life become miserable. If he had paid Owen at the office well and if he had never set his sight on Megan then his marriage would have still been going smoothly...

He would even be expecting his child as Megan might have been beginning to love him sincerely.

But everything had changed because he had dipped his Filthy hands into Owen's life and marriage. Owen felt nothing but boiling hatred towards him.

While oblivious and not caring about what Owen was feeling, the trio of Mr Martin, Megan and Rebecca made their way out of the ward.

The doctor, Maya, happened to be coming back to Owen's ward to check on him when she was stopped by the trio.

"Are you his doctor?" Rebecca was the first to speak as she asked Maya a question that involved Owen.

Maya nodded with a look of contemplation as to who they were.

"That trash inside that room isn't worth any treatment." Megan said.

"He can't even pay the fees for the treatment. It would be better if you left him to die off somewhere and not bother yourself about him." Megan added.

Maya looked at them with surprise and shock. She had a little understanding about what was happening. These guys were related to Owen in some kind of way...

They were so toxic that they were probably the ones who had made Owen wish he were dead.

Her face scrunched up in disgust.

"Who the hell are you?" She asked aggressively.

Megan and her mother took a step back in surprise and Megan answered.

"I'm his ex wife. So you better believe me when I'm telling you that your patient is a piece of trash and you shouldn't bother with him.

He's a waste of your time and resources." She said,

And without waiting to hear and answer, Megan walked off with Martin.

"We're only trying to save you from any trouble he might bring you. But if you insist on treating him, make sure you collect your payment down to the last penny from him." Rebecca said to Maya and walked off towards the exit.

Anyone who was listening would have thought of it as heartfelt advice.

But Maya almost threw up in disgust.

She knew these kinds of people. They were the worst. And she hated them to her bones.

She took a few deep breaths to regain her composure and pushed open the door to Owen's ward.

She took a glance at Owen only to notice that the atmosphere around him had changed.

He had a gentle nature before but it was now as though he had changed to something else.

He was angry.
