"I want a sword that helps keep me alive"
"A sword that once held will help me to survive"
"A sword I can strike with that helps evade all strikes"
"A sword for a coward to help me win all fights"
Such were the words that went through Mia's head as she swallowed the glowing blue pill. As she vanished from Genji's line of sight, she reached out her hand for a sword.
The moment she grabbed the sword that came to her, pictures of events she never experienced began flooding her mind, alongside the pictures came voices and an odd feeling of rage that she was sure wasn't hers. It didn't take long for her to understand that those were the memories within the sword but that wasn't the strangest part
Despite the fact that there was rage within the sword and herself, Mia was sure that the the it was telling her to hang it on her waist and bring out something else. At first, she didn't listen and used the sword to attack Genji but when he covered himself in scales, Mia understood what what the sword was telling her.
"If you really want to fight like a coward..."
"...you must first forget your rage..."
"... and aim for all weakness"
While Hughes wondered how anyone would have ever survived such a huge blast, the answer was quite simple. Hughes and his entire army were so distracted by Orie that they forgot that he had someone with him.
While it may have been impossible for someone like Orie to survive such a blast, there was someone who could easily stand it. Right before the impact, Yamato shielded Orie from the blast they were both unharmed.
Immediately after the blast, Orie patted Yamato on the shoulder and told him "Prepare something big" then leapt out of sight.
No one saw Orie coming and no one could hear him as he got into the helicopter. He was more silent than a whisper in a graveyard and he lacked more presence than a soft breeze.
No noise was made. Not when he was driving his hand through the heart of one of the soldiers, Not when he stabbed another in the neck with his own dagger. It all happened silently untill he took over the helicopter and started blowing sh*t up.
While on the ground, Alone, with none of his own men alive, Hughes saw hope coming from afar. As a strong wind cleared the smoke, he could see three men walking towards him.
"The mage squad" he said with a soft breath
The elite among the Freeland special forces who specialize in the art of magic. They took on the most dangerous tasks and took out the most dangerous enemies of the country. The trio wielded the powers of fire(which was common but power), gravity (which was in a league of it's own), and sound (which no one would want to hear).
A wise man once said "Hope can disappear as quickly as it arrived". Before Hughes could get up and great the men coming towards him, he heard a loud snap on his right ear, Then after that came a slap that seemed to drive the loud sound straight into his brain. As he fell back to the ground, he could feel his pistol being taken from him and despite all the ringing in his ear he could hear three gunshots.
"No way" he muttered weakly
"No way" he said as everything before him became darkness.
It was as if the battle between Genji and Mia had taken a sharp U turn. Mia was now the one keeping her distance while Genji tried to get close.
Mia couldn't get through his armor of scales but she could still cause him damage through blunt force. Except from her fists, she used any method she could to try and break him from within. When she wasn't trying to make 'Genji barbecue', she was either shooting rockets at him or dropping grenades under his feet when he wasn't looking. Genji had no chance for a counter.
"How is she doing this" Genji wondered
"She's fighting like this battle had already happened and she just wants to get it over with"
"How far can see?"
"How much has she already seen?"
"Is it just because of a sword?"
"Or is it more?"
"I have to get rid of it" Genji said to himself
"I must get rid of that sword" he said as he charged directly at Mia not minding what she threw at him. Neither bombs nor flames could discourage him.
he just kept advancing as Mia tried to keep the distance between them and as soon as he got close enough, she pulled out a sniper rifle.
"She can't do anything in with this distance" Genji thought
"How is she going to reopen the gap" he thought but Mia's plan was not to increase the distance. Before Genji could figure out what was going on, he found himself being whacked in the head with a gun and falling on his face. After that, Mia stood above him, shooting at his head, reloading after every shot and firing at the same spot.
"I have to admit" Genji said in his mind
"This is my loss"
"There's nothing I can do to get myself out of this situation"
"She may have won against me" he thought
"But I didn't come alone"
"And there's no way she can beat him"
Mia heard something that stopped her from trying to blast through Genji's brain. Footsteps slowly got closer as if someone was walking majestically As she turned around to see who it was, her sight was set upon someone completely covered in a crimson cloak.
"Daughter of Lee" the cloaked man said in a deep reverberating voice
"You have exceeded my expectations"
"But now that the fight is over" he said
"I will be taking over your mind"
SHIN SEKAI SECRET: Except for when they are wounded in battle, it is extremely rare for a Raiden to get to get tired. it's so rare that there has only been two known Raidens to have gotten tired in cases that didn't involve battle.
"Freeland has a law that states "superhuman abilities and magic of all forms are prohibited from being practiced. Any civilian caught using their powers in public will be charged with terrorism and arrested immediately" It is claimed by the government that this law was put in place to prevent the great Meta incident that occurred twenty-five years earlier but the law wasn't doing anything to help the underclassed citizens of the country. There were people, those that the protection of the government couldn't reach. Those who lived with constant fear in neighborhoods with the highest rates of crime. Those who had the power to fight back but were forbidden to do so by law. Soon, people grew tired. Those who were brave enough put on masks and took on nicknames in order to do what was right, they were called superheroes." Naomi narrated then took a huge slurp from her milkshake. "I moved here to join and make a difference" she added as she took another huge slurp. "So
Three shots to the head. That was all it took for Orie to end the mage squad that was held in high regards in all of Freeland. It couldn't be called a battle, it couldn't even be called a face-off because they all lost their lives as soon as they set their eyes on him. As soon as he had offed the mage squad, he set his sights back at Hughes. The commander who had just regained himself tried to run away but immediately got shot in both legs and fell. As the commander crawled in futility, the bringer of his death walked slowly behind him. Meanwhile, Shiro had found himself lost in the middle of town. "So what do now?" He asked himself as he paced around with Lighting speed. "I mean..." He said "...I had it down to the escape part but now I don't what comes next" "I don't know where my friends are, I don't know where Genji is" "How do I even...." "STOP RIGHT THERE!!!" a voice yelled through a megaphone "PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR!!!" the voice yelled aga
Nega had a bit of a hard time getting back home but he was still the first to arrive. He sat on his chair in the same room he had met Orie and the others and proceeded to get a smoke. He made sure his blunt was rolled perfectly and searched himself for a lighter but couldn't find any. "Need a light?" A familiar voice said from the distance. He looked up to see someone he knew that he really needed at the moment. 'Philip Vaquero', arguably the greatest bounty hunter of his time with very few competition. With an almost perfect record, he made his way to the top spot in the bounty hunter world and what made him fearsome was that all his bounties were top tier and of the highest grade. So if Vaquero ever came for you, all you could do was hope that you were wanted alive. Such a fearsome man stood in front of Nega and called him "BOSS" with a casual salute and he reciprocated with a casual "yo" "You're quite early" Nega said as he reclined back on his chair "Well boss"
"If you ask questions that have already been asked, you will get answers you've already heard" "I find myself having to give answers to a question that has been asked many times" "A question with many answers" "An whatever action I take" "I would just be chosing amongst the multitudes of answers that have already been given" "What would you do if someone you love turned her blade against you?" "Do you strike back?" "Do you let them strike you?" "Do you find fault in them?" "Do you find fault yourself?" "Do you blame an enemy?" "Do you blame yourself?" "Many answers are given to this question" "But the only true answers are given by those who already made their choice" "Some would say that a gentleman would first try to initiate dialogue before drawing his sword" "But I am not a gentleman" "There is a creed i stand by for all situations" "If you want the story to go in your favor" "If you want to stand high at the end"
"OVERSHADOW", that is what was heard before the entire hall was thrown into a complete white-out. Everything was affected including the color of Mia's skin and hair. For a brief moment, Mia's expression showed that of one who was remorseful of her actions but it immediately switched back to the paleness it had before and she continued attacking Shiro. Her attacks had become sloppy. The intense color altering caused by Shiro's technique had a great effect on her ability to concentrate and differentiate the things in front of her and she found herself running into walls more often. "The real Mia would have figured this out by now" Shiro said in disappointment as he effortlessly evaded all her attacks. The battle stretched on and after a while, things started to regain thier normal appearance. The ominous figure in the dark made an observation. Even though he could see Shiro through a monitor, he could not feel a shred of his presence at all. The case was different a while ago
Mia recalled a conversation she once had with Shiro. She remembered asking him "if I ever turned my blade against you, what would you do?" And Shiro's answer was "I don't know" "I don't know if I could bring myself to fight against you" was Shiro's answer but it wasn't one that she approved of. "If I ever turn against you" she said "It would not be of my own will" "and I wouldn't be in my right mind" "So whatever happens" "Stop me" "Even if it means breaking my bones" As Mia recalled the event, she gave Shiro a piercing stare that carried the message "You thought I meant it literally?" and he gave back a look that said "well... I don't know what you're talking about" and her stare turned into a cold gaze. "Shiro dear" she said in a calm but threatening tone "You know I love you right?" She added and Shiro was like "oh shit!!" "But..." She said and Shiro already knew what was coming. "I'll surely get back at you for this" she said and Shir
Power is always associated with trouble. Sometimes it is great enough to save us from trouble, sometimes it isn't. Sometimes it is so great that trouble can't get close and sometimes its greatness is the reason why trouble comes. Sometimes it's not about how you use it, sometimes it's about the power itself. The mere existence of a certain power could stir up fear, awe, hatred and envy depending on who percieved it and how they do. "My power is supposed to kind that helps me escape trouble" Victor said to himself as he drove through an empty road with nothing but desert on both sides. "But unfortunately" he said with a sigh "I'm stuck with a lot of trouble magnets" "What a drag" It wasn't long before the lonely house in the middle of nowhere came into view but it wasn't the only thing in sight. What was seen was both scary and magnificent. A lone cowboy stood in front of the house and before him was a fresh field of corpses that spread far around the hou
"A great awakening happened once" "And the people of the world regained the sense of self they never knew they had lost" "Returning along with it was their greed, and their desire to own things." "All property was unclaimed and the race to claim them was intense, so intense that it lead to fights, then small group battles, then full scale wars between Nations." "Our freedom from the order brought a chaos that that we could not handle" "And it took a long time before we could attain balance" These were the words of Edward Clipper as he sat with them through the journey. "Why are you telling us this?" Shiro asked and Edward answered. "It is a truth I must speak as a descendant of one who saw it all with open eyes" he said "All the land was taken over by the order but the sea wasn't, and the sea was the home of my ancestors" "As those who were unaffected by the enslaving rule of the order, they witnessed the unfolding phenomenon with full awareness and
