The security men, fueled by Nathan's unwavering authority, moved swiftly.

They seized Liam and Claire, each of them struggling against the iron grip of the guards.

Claire's eyes, which were once filled with shock and disbelief, now brimmed with desperation as she turned to Nathan.

"Nathan, please," Claire pleaded, her voice breaking.

"You know me. I made a mistake, but I don’t deserve this. Please, don’t do this."

Liam, still clutching his cheek from Claire's slap, added his own desperate plea.

"Nathan, I'm sorry! I lost control, but please, don’t throw us out into the storm."

"We could die out there!"

Nathan’s expression remained cold and unyielding.

He stepped closer to the pair, his eyes piercing through them.

"You both brought this upon yourselves. Claire, you chose to trust a snake despite the fact I begged you to listen."

"And you, Liam," he spat his name, "you’re nothing but a manipulative liar. You deserve each other."
