CHAPTER 54

The Smith family made their way through the grand hall to the center of the commotion. By this time, the Hall was empty, and everyone was outside.

Liam’s father, Richard Smith, was the first to approach, his stern face reflecting both concern and disbelief.

“Victoria, what on earth is going on here?” Richard’s voice cut through the clamor. “Why is Nathan standing here, disrupting this event? We thought he was out of your lives for good.”

Victoria turned to face him, her face flushed with anger and desperation. “My in-law, it’s nothing but a pathetic display from someone we thought was out of our lives forever.

"Nathan, our former son-in-law, is back, trying to make a scene and ruin our engagement ceremony.”

Richard’s eyes narrowed as he took in Nathan’s imposing figure and the expensive entourage. “Is this the same Nathan we all dismissed as a failure? How did he come by all this wealth?”

Victoria seize
