Gabriel's expression remained stoic as he faced Mark, refusing to let his taunts get under his skin. "Funny coming from someone who had to resort to sabotage to get ahead," he retorted, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Mark's grin faltered for a moment before he regained his composure. "Sabotage? Me? Oh, come on, Gabriel. You can't seriously believe that," he scoffed, attempting to feign innocence.

Gabriel's gaze bore into Mark's, unwavering in its intensity. "I know it was you," he stated simply, his voice devoid of emotion. “Quit the act for I'm no fool."

Mark's facade crumbled, replaced by a look of resignation. "Fine, you got me," he admitted, his tone tinged with defeat. "But you know what? Now that you're out of the picture, I will finally have some uninterrupted moments with your wife, Camella. Guess there is a silver lining to every cloud, huh?"

Gabriel's jaw clenched at Mark's callous remark, but he maintained his composure, refusing to let him see how much it affected him.
