The prison guard hurriedly rushed to inform Old Mrs. Wilson about the situation. Bursting into her study, he breathlessly relayed the news, "Madame Wilson, the prisoner continues to yell incessantly, claiming he is starving."

Old Mrs. Wilson turned her gaze towards the guard, her countenance etched with disapproval. "It is not yet time for dinner. Let him endure his hunger for a while longer."

With a dismissive wave of her hand, Old Mrs. Wilson dismissed the guard, who reluctantly retreated from her presence. As he made his way back to the dungeon through the dimly lit underground tunnel in the mansion's basement, he suddenly heard another thunderous cry echoing from below, "I am hungry!"

Startled, the guard's footing faltered, causing him to lose his balance and tumble down the ladder. He hit the floor with an audible thud, emitting a pained groan. Struggling to regain his composure, he rose to his feet, his face drained of colour. Hastily, he ascended the ladder and swiftly departed
