Arthur tapped the door twice before opening it. Diana looked pathetic. Her hair was ruffled, even though he had given her a lenient punishment. He had even allowed the housekeepers to allow her to bathe throughout her five days in the lair. She ate exquisite meals too, and she read a book. He wasn’t that wicked, even though the family termed his actions a terrible punishment. The letter wasn’t meant for close family members, but Arthurd disagreed, and at the end of the arguments, it was mostly done by Marianna. He had agreed to set her free today.

She eyed him maliciously. ‘Have you come to gloat?’

Arthur smiled, throwing a blanket on her. ‘The cold is a bit harsh, right? ’

She hissed, covering her shaking body, ‘So, you do care about me? That’s lovely. Now, can you leave? I was enjoying the silence before you came to corrupt the air.’
