Chapter 3

Kyra walked up to her grandfather. With a big smile, she showed him the diamond Mark Addison had just given her.

"Look, grandfather, I got this from Mark Addison. Isn't this a good thing? This is a costly diamond. And if only I wear this. Then I'll look shiny." Kyra showed off a necklace that glittered around her neck.

Lucas smiled. He rose from his seat, his face full of excitement. Lucas slowly reached out his hand and touched the necklace Kyra was wearing. When he found out the diamond was natural, his smile grew even more comprehensive. "This is very nice. I'm pretty sure this is an expensive diamond."

"Not only this, I also got some other gifts. Mark Addison is amazing." Kyra showed it off to her grandfather again.

Lucas patted Kyra on the shoulder. He couldn't help but be proud of Kyra. "You are indeed a reliable grandson. This way, our relationship with the Addison family will be even closer. And that would be great for the Adams family. As much as possible, you must unite with Mark Addison." Lucas emphasized to Kyra.

The woman nodded. "Of course. I won't just let Mark Addison go. In addition to this family going forward, this is also an auspicious time for me, grandfather. So believe me, and Mark Addison will always be together. And as much as possible, I will take things in our favor." Kyra spoke earnestly.

Lucas nodded his head. "I'm happy with your thinking."

The old man lowered his hand. He sat back down with a gloomy face. This made Kyra feel a little confused.

Kyra furrowed her brow. He walked over and stopped right in front of his grandfather. "Grandpa, what happened?"

Lucas sighed. He looked up, staring at her granddaughter's face. This made his feel a little confused.

"There's a big party going on in the center of town. The whole extended family is invited to go there. But I find it strange that only the Adams family didn't get an invitation at all. And I heard that the Calderon family is throwing a big party. It's a problem if the Adams family can't cooperate with the Calderons." Lucas explained to Kyra.

Kyra was still frowning. She didn't quite know what was going on. "Why was only the Adams family not invited? Will the Caderon family refuse to cooperate with the Adams family later?" Kyra asked with a serious face.

Lucas got up and looked at her coldly. Then he shook hi head. "Anyway, I want the Adams family to be able to cooperate with the Calderon family. If only some people knew that the Adams family was not invited, then this family would be in a bad light and make the Adams family's prestige decline." Lucas exhaled heavily.

Everyone was aware of the fact that the Calderon family was a well-respected, wealthy family. Even his efforts were everywhere. Lucas is apprehensive about the Adams family being looked down upon and underestimated if everyone finds out that the Adams family is the only family not at the party.

Kyra moved her eyes. Hearing something possibly wrong made her unhappy. It could have ruined his relationship with Mark Addison's family. Then she asked, "Grandpa, what should we do?"

Lucas' gaze was stern. "There's only one thing we can do."

Kyra perked up a little. She approached her grandfather and held her grandfather's hand firmly. "Tell me, what should we do right now?"

"We must contact the manager of the Caderon family," Lucas answered her firmly.

Kyra smiled. She took her grandfather's cell phone and handed it to his grandfather. "What are you waiting for? Quickly contact him and request an invitation from him. It doesn't matter if we spend money."

Lucas shook his head firmly. "We can't just contact him. He won't give out invitations for free even if we pay him money. But I know one thing."

"Something, what?" Kyra stared at her grandfather's face, waiting for an answer.

"That man is notorious for playing with women. If you want to keep the Adams family, spend the night with him and make him happy." Lucas said it seriously.

"Are you kidding?" Kyra shook her head. Of course, he rejected his grandfather's words. "I've had a relationship with Mark Addison. And if Mark finds out, my relationship with Mark Addison will be destroyed. So is the relationship between the Adams family and Mark Addison's family. That's not a good solution."

Kyra let go of her grandfather's hand roughly. Then she folded her arms across her chest. She looked away from Lucas in front of her.

"This is the only way to work together with that big family." Lucas was still pressing her.

Kyra remembered something. She lowered her hands and looked ambitiously at her grandfather's face. "Doesn't Grandpa still have Rihanna? She will do that."

Lucas was stunned. He should have thought of her from the start. She was sure that Rihanna would do this to get an invitation from the Calmeron family. She didn't care about Rihanna's sick child at the moment. She needs excellent honor from everyone. And that was the most important thing right now.

"You're right. We should call her right now." Lucas agreed quickly. "She needs to be a granddaughter who can be counted on," Lucas muttered and smiled happily.

Lucas received the cell phone from Kyra. He immediately called Rihanna to come to his room. Not long after that, footsteps walked over. As the door to the room opened, Kyra and Lucas stared at Rihanna like a tiger that had caught its prey.

Rihanna had a sad look on her face. She approached Lucas and asked, "Is there something you called me about?" Rihanna spoke carefully. She knew that her relationship with her grandfather was not very good. And whatever her grandfather said, it always depressed her.

They hadn't spoken for a while, especially when her son was in the hospital. They just assumed that Rihanna was a burden on the family.

Lucas looked at her coldly. She nodded. "Yes, there is something you have to do. This is about the Adams family."

"You should go together with the Caderon family manager and spend the night with him," Lucas said firmly.

Rihanna was surprised. As she had expected before, she would only get pressure and pressure when meeting with her grandfather. But this was worse than what she had imagined. Although she knew her grandfather often pushed her like this, she was in a bad state. Even his daughter was in the hospital.

Rihanna didn't dare look at her grandfather's face. She shook her head. "Grandfather, I can't do that."

Lucas clenched his fist at Rihanna's answer. "I don't care. You have to do it. You have to meet the manager of the Caderon family and spend the night with him." Lucas still urged her.

Rihanna shook her head again. He didn't want to abandon his daughter for his grandfather's wishes. "No, you don't. I won't be stiff about it. Grandpa knows that my daughter is in the hospital. And, of course, I won't go to spend the night with anyone. That's not going to happen." Rihanna spoke with clenched hands. Her heart ached so much that she almost cried.

As Rihanna was about to leave, Kyra stopped her. "You can't go until you agree to it. At least show us that you are as useful as I am. Do you want the Adams family to be destroyed?"

Rihanna looked at Kyra with heated eyes. She couldn't believe that her sister would urge her on.

"Isn't this nothing new for you? You often spend time with strangers. You also used to collect a lot of controversial things at other companies. What difference does it make if you spend the night with the Caderon family manager?" Kyra shook her head, staring at Rihanna's face at close range. "This makes no difference. Just do what grandfather wants."

Kyra smiled slyly. She looked at Rihanna's face and touched it gently. "If you can do it and our plan works, we will treat you kindly and gently." Kyra laughed. All this time, they had never treated Rihanna well. They just considered her a useless woman.

Rihanna shook her head. She knew that even if everything she did succeeded, they would always mistreat Rihanna. Until she spoke, "I will never do it."

Kyra was furious. "Do you think you're a holy woman now? "You're no different than a bitch."

Rihanna was devastated to hear that remark. But before she managed to state a defense for herself, Kyra spoke, "If you don't want the stiffness, I can just stop your daughter's treatment. And we won't pay the hospital bill." Kyra threatened.

Rihanna looked at her grandfather's face. She wanted a little defense from her grandfather. But there, Lucas seemed indifferent and unaware of the situation.

Her tears were flowing. There was no other choice but this. She didn't have anything left. And, of course, Rihanna didn't want her son's treatment to stop. Then he wiped away her tears. "Alright. I accept the offer."Reluctantly, she gave her answer.

Kyra and Lucas smiled happily. Lucas walked over to Rihanna. She patted Rihanna's shoulder and let her hands rest on hers. "I knew that you were a reliable grandson, too. After spending the night with the Thornton family manager, you should get an invitation and be the representative of the Adams family at the party." Lucas spoke a little softly. But every word he said was complete of emphasis.

Suddenly, a loud crash made everyone immediately look at the door. A well-built man was standing there. "He won't go and spend the night with anyone," Kaiden said loudly and firmly.
