39. A Sister.

Ivy sat on the bed and crossed her arms. She was upset. Lucas had been trying to convince her all morning but she wouldn't listen. He knew she missed her mother, she was just being stubborn. Ever since Peter told her their mother was missing her, she had been thinking about it and Lucas could tell, even though she tried to hide it.

"Honey, try to reason with me." Peter had texted him later, he said he was the only one who could convince her to go.

"No, I won't. I don't want to see that woman."

"Yes you do."

"Have you forgotten what she did to us? To you?"

Lucas hadn't forgotten, he didn't think he could ever forget. But this wasn't about him, it was about Ivy. "No, I haven't forgotten, but I'm sure she has learnt her lesson. And if she hasn't, we can always cut ties with her again."

She stared at him, her frown softening a little. "You really don't mind?"

"I don't. I can take you there right now if you want me to."

Her lips parted into a sweet smile. "Thank you."
