Chapter 4

"A will?" Darren asked softly while holding the letter with hands that were still shaking.

There was disbelief at what he was reading today, and all this time he had just kept the letter in his wallet. Luckily, all is still in good condition.

Again, Darren continued reading the message, but before that, he turned off his cellphone. Right now, he didn't want to be disturbed by anyone. Let him face the anger of Renata and Gia, his mother-in-law.

"Sorry," Darren muttered as he put his cell phone in his trouser pocket.

"Meet Arras Samuel at the Ambassador Bank. [Bring this letter.]'

His father asked Darren to meet someone named Arras Samuel, and that made Darren quite dizzy. This is because Bank Duta in this city has several branches.

"Which branch should I go to?" Darren asked quietly.

"But is this true?"

Darren was still engulfed in a profound ape account, and he still wasn't sure about everything. However, what surprised him was that he received the letter directly from his father. This should be true.

Darren was silent for a long time while slowly finishing the food he ordered. He was contemplating whether he would go to the person mentioned or if he should ignore him.

"Should I believe it?" asked Darren again in his heart, because it seemed impossible that he had that much money. And what hurts, if that's true, is that all this time he has had to suffer and live a pretty tough life.

Darren pondered. His eyes, looking in front of the cafe, saw many people walking around the lake for afternoon exercise or just spending time with loved ones.

There were also lots of children's play areas, so Darren could see so many parents accompanying their children to play while smiling and enjoying the snacks sold by the existing food vendors.

An image flashed through Darren's mind when he used to force his mom and dad to spend their afternoons playing in parks like that. Even if it was just the garden complex, it made him feel happy.

"It's not wrong for me to try to meet Mr. Arras Samuel, who knows he has the answers to all the questions that are stored in my mind. And hopefully the hope is that he will still be there," said Darren slowly as he lit a cigarette, which would make his afternoon more meaningful.

"Tomorrow it's impossible to immediately take leave; Radi certainly hasn't entered yet. Then we will meet on the weekend; Monday is also a holiday," said Darren again while looking at the calendar on the cell phone that he had just turned on. Luckily, Renata no longer continues to contact him, but there is a message with a caps lock that lights up on his cell phone from Renata.

Again, Darren ignored the message sent by Renata. He was still deciding when he would meet the person mentioned by his father. And it's surprising that it's possible to cash out the deposit as long as Darren has met the requirements. But why do you have to meet Arras Samuel?

"Yes, on Wednesday I will take leave and come to the central Duta bank. Who knows, I might meet Mr. Arras in person," Darren decided.

Finally, after deciding what steps to take, Darren left the cafe. By using an online motorcycle taxi, he will return to his parents-in-law's house.

"If that's true, I have to get out of the Martano family's house immediately; I'm in a lot of pain. If you only do homework, it's not a problem. But the insult after insult they give makes me sick!"

Darren kept talking in his heart while enjoying the evening breeze as he sat on the back of a very friendly motorcycle taxi driver.

"You dare to fight and ignore my call?" asked Gia when Darren had just set foot on the shiny terrace.

Sorry, Mom. Darren has something to do before he goes home," Darren replied, looking down.

"You're so busy! Even though it's just a cleaning service! Do you think you're going to be the president and director of that office, so you're always looking for opportunities to get attention?" shouted Gia, immediately attacking Darren when he arrived home.

"Quickly wash my car; tonight I have an event!" Gia ordered it then.

Darren could only sigh heavily; his in-laws, who had been calling him like there was an emergency, only asked him to wash the car.

"Gosh, I didn't expect that washing cars was included in the emergency work that I have to do in this house," Darren said, heading straight to his room. And of course there is Renata, who has various orders.

tap! tap!

Darren climbed the stairs quickly because he didn't want to be yelled at again by his in-laws if he was late doing the task given to him.

Kriet!

Darren opened the door and found Renata lying relaxed on the bed, wearing a transparent and very sexy satin dress. Her smooth thighs look very tempting, even though her stomach is starting to bulge, and that is also an attraction for Darren.

Darren swallowed his saliva; he could only see but would not be able to feel everything that was in front of his eyes.

"At 7 tonight, I have an appointment with the doctor. You take me; no driver can. Everyone has their own duties," Renata said when Darren had just taken off his clothes.

Everything was impromptu, and it was already 5.30. That meant an hour and a half from now they had to be in the hospital, and now he had to wash the car.

"Yes," Darren replied without arguing, even though his body felt very tired.

He had no other choice but to do what he was told. As long as he hasn't left the house, he will still lead a double life. Son-in-law or husband, and also a maid.

Hurriedly, Darren had to finish Gia's car wash in at least 45 minutes so they wouldn't be late arriving at the hospital to check up on Renata's pregnancy.

"I have to leave first; I already booked number one. At least ten minutes before the doctor opened, he was there. I don't want to wait too long!" Renata said when she saw Darren coming out of the room.

"Yeah," Darren answered slowly.

Working deftly and in a hurry, here is Darren at this time. I was waiting for the arrival of the obstetrician, who said he would start practicing in five minutes. The tired face is very visible.

"You come with me, check!" asks Renata later.

The next day, Darren met his manager to apply for leave on Wednesday because he had decided to look for Mr. Arras.

"You want to leave? What do you need?" asked Pak Kodir, the manager, who is known to be vicious and rude.

Darren just nodded his head slowly.

"Necessity?" asked Kodir briefly.

"I have to go to the bank; I have a problem with my card and account," Darren answered slowly.

"That's because there really isn't anything in it! No one can take any more time off!" shouted Kodir loudly.

Darren clenched his fists; he was very emotional. He was never given the right to leave, even though he always worked well.

"I have rights! How many times have I wanted to take time off and been banned? Allowed or not, I will leave!" Darren replied in a loud voice and even bravely looked at Kodir with a burning gaze until his eyes turned red.

Braaak!
