“St Psalm Adams?” The grandfather breathed as his softened gaze pierced deep into Sebastian’s eye. “That is your real name, son, your father named you after a saint due to the joy you brought into his life.”
Sebastian’s eyes widened profusely,
“So you mean I’m the owner of St Psalms Institute of…” Sebastian was too stunned to speak, he brushed his hands through his hair in astonishment, unable to contain all that had been poured on him.
“The Institute was your father's least investment. You shouldn’t be thinking about that son. You have the whole dynasty in your name, I’m old and unhealthy, the Adams Dynasty needs a young blood to continue with her legacy.” His grandfather lamented, patting his hands on Sebastian’s shoulder.
“I have been working for almost fifty years, and my brain isn’t working so smart anymore.” He continued.
“You have absolutely nothing to worry about, son. A meeting with the managers and some stakeholders in all our companies will be held soon. Where you would be announced as the new Chief Executive Officer and also the Heir of the Adams Dynasty.”
“My head is so full sir, I need to sleep over this.” Sebastian’s heart was full of so much joy even though it was mixed with confusion and anxiety.
Who would have imagined that a laundry guy would someday transition into an heir of a prestigious Dynasty?
“Yes, son, a buffet had been set in the dining solely for you, The servant would show you your room after dinner. We would continue in the morning.”
Sebastian nodded, he stood still while he watched Benjamin beckon on some guards, they help lifted his grandfather from his seat and escorted him to the elevator so he could retire back to bed.

THE NEXT DAY
Sebastian’s stomach was still bloated from the numerous intercontinental dishes he had eaten last night. He woke up feeling very fulfilled and excited as he ogled at the highly sophisticated and luscious interior of his room.
It was indeed his room, there were still baby pictures of him finely hung on every corner of his room. The size of the bedroom didn’t even portray a baby’s room due to the general size of the room, the gigantic king-size bed, and a huge exquisite wardrobe would also serve as a mirror. Everything in the room has a touch of gold in it, it was even more than royalty.
“Oh no! My phone.” Sebastian jolted back to reality when he realized he had put his phone on flight mode since last night. Steve must have blown out the phone with missed calls.
Sebastian quickly reached out to the trousers he had changed in his wardrobe, Immediately he reached out to his phone, he realized Steve’s call was just ending. Steve had given him 25 missed calls, he was worried sick about Sebastian’s whereabouts.
Sebastian quickly texted him stating,
‘I’m fine, don’t get walked up. Would be back soon.”
And in no time, there was a beep in Sebastian’s phone. It was a response from Steve.
"Thank goodness you're alive! Where the fuck have you been?"
After reading the text message from Steve, Sebastian didn't bother to respond. He turned off his phone quickly. He didn't want Steve to call him anymore, because he knew he sucked at lying.
The next day was the day he would face the panel, but for some obvious reasons, he was chilled, even though he still couldn’t believe he owned the school. Whenever the thought hits him, he furrowed his brows in disbelief with a grin playing across his lips.
Ring!!!!
The goldplated telecom in his room rang off, Sebastian picked up and it was Benjamin’s voice.
“Good morning master, trust you had a wonderful night. The grandmaster requests your presence downstairs.” Benjamin’s tone was cordial and respectful from the other end of the line.
“Good morning, I will be down shortly,” Sebastian responded.
Different types of clothes had been arranged neatly on the bed for Sebastian to pick from, ranging from suits to casuals, but they all had one thing in common irrespective of their styles and that was elegance and class.
Trust Sebastian to pick the most casual outfit, which was the grey sweatpants and hoodie, the weather was cold and since he was going back to school that same day, he would feel very comfortable in it and most people wouldn’t raise a lot of questions from his outfit.
Sebastian quickly changed into his outfit, but he realized the price tag and label were still attached to it. His heart dropped when his eyes caught the price and brand name, which was Jack Sparrow’s latest collection and it was worth 200k dollars.
It embodied class and the texture was like fur and it felt very cozy on the skin. Sebastian checked himself out one last time in the mirror before pressing the button on his electronic door and it opened afterward.
“Good morning, sir. You’re looking better this morning.” Sebastian greeted his grandfather who was having a glass of coffee on the dining.
“Grandfather, not sir… well, you will get used to it Son, but good morning.”
Sebastian nodded with a soft smile stating, “I will try,”
“As I said earlier, the whole Adams Dynasty is in your care, I’m happy you’re almost done with your studies, and I’m certain you will make the Adams heritage proud. However, Benjamin is here, I trust him to put you through on matters concerning your recent positions.” The grandfather stated, still gulping down his hot piping coffee.
Sebastian exhaled deeply, that was a great relief indeed. Benjamin looked very smart and since he had always been with the Adams family, he knew all the nooks and crannies of the businesses and would be the best tutor and guide to the job.
“Sir,” Sebastian shifted his gaze to meet his grandfather. “Today is Monday, and I’ll have to be in school tomorrow, so I have to leave this evening.” Said Sebastian.
“You just arrived at your home after two decades, if you spend at least one more night with me I don’t think anything will happen to your grades. And besides you own that university, you can even declare a public holiday whenever you want.” His grandfather stated, sadness already brimming in his eyes as he hadn’t gotten enough of his grandson.
Despite his new Status, Sebastian knew it was important to make an appearance in school tomorrow to know the outcome of the panel’s jurisdiction. He didn’t want to miss school.
“Sir, it can always be arranged. I have to do something important tomorrow.” Sebastian stated.
“Well…. If you insist, son. The chopper will drop you off at night inside your campus….”
“No no no, sir. I would prefer they drop me off at the Cathedral, where we met initially. I don’t want speculations to start roaming around campus, at least not now.” He objected respectfully, even though his grandfather didn’t see any reason why he should be on a low.
“Hmmm… we’ll as you wish, son.” Said his grandfather.
“Benjamin had informed the servants and they had arranged some clothes in your room you would be going to school with, you can also get as many as you want because what you had on yesterday doesn’t befit your status in any way.”
“Thank you so much, I have seen the outfits, great choice Benjamin.” Sebastian acknowledged, his face brimming with thanksgiving.
Benjamin bowed sharply in acknowledgment.
His grandfather’s eyes dropped with compassion, he imagined how sad life had been for his grandson who grew up alone and lived a low life in the orphanage, even though he was born with a diamond spoon in his mouth.
“You would have to be coming home at least six times a month, remember all I told you, you have a lot to learn but we are going to tackle it one after the other.”
“Well for safety purposes, I would assign at least two security guards you would go back to school with. I don’t want to lose you again, son.” His grandfather suggested but Sebastian wasted zero time in brushing it away too.
“That won’t be necessary too, and besides nobody knows about my identity. I would love to maintain a low profile for the time being.” He objected.
His grandfather frowned, the Adams family had a lot of enemies and competitors, and his grandfather wouldn’t want Sebastian to go off on his own again.
However, after a rethink, he saw reasons with Sebastian and concurred but only for a short period. But he didn’t stop there, he continued to offer Sebastian mouth-watering deals.
“An email would be sent to the chancellor of your school through a confidant, and you would be moved to the executive and private lodge where you would stay alone since you want to be on a low profile.” The grandfather said.
Sebastian's heart fluttered with excitement, he had already started envisioning the looks on his oppressor's face when they noticed he would move into the most luxurious apartment on campus.
But he would want to do that after he had known the verdict of the panel even though the verdict no longer troubled him.
“Thanks a lot.” Sebastian’s eyes glistened with joy. “But can you hold on a little please, I will give you a hint when to call the chancellor in a few days.
That lodge was a million dollars every academic session, not even Donald and his folks were able to afford such a lodge in school and now it would be given to him, they would drink their tears and rot in their doubt when they saw him move into the lodge.
“Thanks, grandfather, I appreciate everything.” Sebastian thanked, excitement evident in his demeanor.
“Thank you for what? We haven’t started son. What is your means of transportation around school?” The grandfather asked casually.
“My legs, I’m only a laundry guy in school, that’s what has been sustaining me.” He stated.
“What?!”
His grandfather exclaimed with furrowed brows.
“Never again son, never! We have fleets of cars ranging from the best to the best, Benjamin will relate that to you later and send some across to you after you have selected.”
“Some?” Sebastian’s eyes hooded in awe, blinking faster than usual. “One is enough honestly more than enough.”
“You can’t drive one car, son, it isn’t done. I can even assign a pilot to you if you wanna use a chopper around school.” His grandfather stated with seriousness.
Sebastian swallowed loudly and quickly brushed off the chopper idea. “The cars are a fine grandfather.” He stated with a smile.
“That being settled, I will be handing over the family’s black card to you, It’s unlimited and one of its kind in the world and is accepted by over 300 private companies in the world. You would scan the code and see the number of companies you can shop with.”
“An unlimited black card?” Sebastian’s brows furrowed.
“Not just that, son….”
“Call out your account details to Benjamin, son. It is my honor to hand over the token your dad had kept in place for you. You’re an Adam and your aura should speak splendor and sophistication at all costs.” The grandfather stated with pride gleaming in his eyes.“Another gift? But I have the unlimited black card.” Sebastian questioned, the endless flow of fortune blowing his mind away. Sebastian stuttered a bit while calling his account number, he felt a sharp rod settle in his stomach and his heart rate doubled. He was anxious and heavily confused about what to do with his fortune.A few moments after calling out his details, Sebastian let out an involuntary gasp, his hands flying up to his mouth as he stood with force, his eyes squinting to read the figures his eyes had just caught.“Holy hell! What?” He exclaimed in total disbelief, shock brimming from every angle of his face while his grandfather glanced at his reaction.“G… grandfather! Of what use is this income? This is exube
Sebastian held his backpack filled with the designer's clothes Benjamin had picked out for him.He was dressed in his simple but sophisticated two-piece attire, staring at the chopper as it took off after dropping him at the cathedral where he met his grandfather. He gave a warm smile, his hands buried deep in his pockets as he looked through the surroundings, reminiscing on how that pre-destined evening unfolded. After soaking in all he needed to, he began strolling back to his Campus and, in no time, he was in front of his dorm. When he got to his room, it was a bit quiet, he pushed the door open and he met Steve in a dilapidated mood, staring at the ceiling with all seriousness, he was lost and didn’t even realise when Sebastian walked into the room.“Hey, buddy!” Sebastian called out in an icy voice as he tossed a throw pillow at him.The familiar voice almost made Steve break his arm as he jolted up with force and landed on Sebastian’s body. As the crybaby that he was, it didn’t
A group of elite students who were having dinner at the restaurant seemed to recognize Sebastian and It happened to be Stanley and Josh, Sebastian’s roommates, alongside their girlfriends.“Isn’t he the Laundryman who fought Donald after ruining his flamboyant jacket?” Natasha, Stanley’s girlfriend questioned with disgust in her eyes. “What is he doing here? I thought he had been dismissed already.” She sneered at Sebastian as she glared at him with hate.“Ohh! I see him now, the lizard who Marilyn confessed was wack in bed in that viral video? I guess all he knows how to do is just laundry.” Jane, Josh’s girlfriend uttered loudly to Sebastian’s hearing but his demeanor remained impenetrable.“Unfortunately babe, he is our roommate too.” Stanley sighed heavily, an embarrassed look palpable in his gaze. “Wait what???!!! Do you share a room with this lowlife? Grose!” Natasha yelled, disgust plastered all over her squinted eyes as she glared at Sebastian. “Come of it girl, it’s a plus
The restaurant suddenly became quiet like a graveyard, everyone's gaze steady and fixed on the drama that was unfolding in their presence. Some phones were set on video mode, trying to capture whatever scene that unfolded. Some student influencers and content creators were already going live with their phones and tripods, making sure to update the school on how the event turned out. It would pass as a trivia/hot gist for the week.“Seb, Buddy….” Steve called weakly, fear laced in his tone. “We can still shun all this and go back to the dorm. You’re in trouble already, if anything goes wrong I’m afraid it will give the panel more edge over your case.” Sebastian could sense the genuine concern in Steve’s utterance, but what Steve wasn’t aware of was the kind of power he possessed. Sebastian gave him a reassuring smile that he had things under control and Steve nodded in acceptance after swallowing the clog that had formed in his throat. Distress written over his demeanour.“Some folk
The man’s authoritative tone rang off, his presence commanded a lot of respect causing everyone present to comport themselves with immediate effect. One could easily tell he had a higher hand in the affairs of the Cafe. That was Peterson, the General Manager. His scent was distinct and masculine, his blonde hair shiny and finely packed in a low bun. He was neatly dressed in his white ironed tees properly tucked into his sharp blue jeans. He looked a little above 40, his height and stature tremendously intimidating.“Why are our customers standing? What is going on here?!” He repeated in a sharp tone, laced with superiority and leaving no room for alteration.“The company’s account was credited with 110,000 dollars hence I came quickly to the cafe. It’s been a very long time since we saw such a wholesome purchase of food at a go, who is the esteemed customer!” He asked with genuine gratitude, his eyes focused on Stella, the sales manager, as he expected a response. However, she remain
“I… I can’t afford to lose this job, sir.” She pleaded with a thick sob stuck in her throat. Both hands folded as she sat frozen and bewildered on the bare floor, seeking mercy. Her properly wrapped hair already falling out of place and her mascara flooding down her cheeks leaving a dark cast. How could she have been so insensible to allow her personal life and hunger for Sebastian to ruin her employment?“Please GM, kindly reconsider, this will never happen again, I promise!” Stella lamented bitterly, she had openly destroyed her reputation for the world to see, and getting a good job again would be extremely difficult.“Why exactly are you begging, Stella?” He scoffed with a dangerous smile and squinted nose. Amazed by her sudden change of tone.“You clearly stated it yourself when you openly declared your resignation if he could pay.” The Manager reminded her with an evil smirk playing across his stern face.“Be honest! Would you have considered him if indeed the transaction was
Murmurs and gossip began hovering again, each one making gest of how weak and helpless Stanley had suddenly become. It was indeed shocking to see one of the self-acclaimed rich students appear defeated and intimidated.“What?! This is shocking, does he even have the money at all?”“I have heard of scammers in Oakland, but I haven't seen one!”“What the hell? How long has he been scamming brands and online shops?”“He outrightly uses scams to sponsor his lavish lifestyle! You can’t tell me otherwise.”“This nigga asked me out in freshman year, thank goodness I foresee the future, I would have been damned if I was in this girlies position!”The manager gave an exhausted smile, his dreadful gaze falling heavily on Stanley and he sneered. “This shouldn't be what I'm thinking else you'd be doomed, I promise!”“No…., not at all, my friend Josh would clear the bill, it's just a glitch in the network. This can happen to anyone, right?” He defended, his voice lacking strength as he kept swipin
Sebastian woke up quite late the next morning, he looked around his room and noticed he was the only one inside. Steve had already gone to lectures, Stanley and Josh were still serving their punishments in The Luxe Cafe. It was supposed to be the heart-trenching Monday, the day he was to face the panel, but the dude was relaxed and even more elevated than ever before. He had called Benjamin earlier to set up a one-week workshop for the nonacademic staff in the institute and he knew beyond a reasonable doubt, that his order had been executed swiftly. He rose from his old wooden bed, gave a little stretch, and squinted his eyes as the rays of sunlight from the window were penetrating through.Sebastian quickly took a hot bath and freshened up before checking out the outfits Benjamin had bought for him earlier. They were all flamboyant and ridiculously expensive, there was no way he would wear a suit to the tech.Notwithstanding, he opted for one of his old clothes, sprayed his old perf
