The Real Flames Part 4

Dawn looked at the person who shot the arrow, it was an amazing feat because not even his death energy bullet was able to do any damage to Lock. It was Misha who shot the arrow, Cole, and others were also there.

She had one more arrow ready to fire at Lock, now Dawn understood why the Arrow was able to pierce through Lock's shoulder. ' She can imbue internal energies on weapons, Impressive.' Dawn thought.

The next arrow pierced the other shoulder of Lock and he finally let go of his sword. Dawn saw this as an opportunity to hit him on the back of his neck and knocked him unconscious.

Misha walked toward them, she was panting and was out of breath.

" I didn't know you were this strong," Dawn asked. " How can it be possible for the slave traders to even catch you?" Dawn was also tired he sat on the ground and started to breathe heavily.

" I can not use Aura always, when they captured us they first took Cole hostage because of my carelessness and kept us in separate cages to keep me in check," Misha explained.

" That makes sense, anyway thanks for the help you made it easier for us."

" Who is that man?" Misha asked.

" He is my friend of Kevin, He attacked me because he thinks I am connected to the demon tower."

" I had also thought of that possibility but you are not a demon, because you are a human," Misha said pulling out the arrows from the shoulders of Lock.

' He has some potions with him, he is always carrying them. Heal him before he loses too much blood.' Kevin was concerned for his friend. It was also clear when they were fighting, that he hesitated in many important moments which could have made the battle easier for them.

Dawn searched for potions and after finding them he poured them over his wounds, the wound closed and the bleeding stopped.

' Do you want to have a chat with him?' Dawn asked Kevin.

' Yes!'

Dawn's hands were covered in a purple glow, he told Kevin to land on his palm. The flames on Kevin dispersed, and his core was visible. There was an eye and a creepy smile carved on the core.

' I am forming a connection between you two, inside my consciousness, it would be hard to keep it up for a long time.'

------

Inside Dawn's consciousness Lock was awake and suddenly he saw Kevin as what he used to look when he was alive. Everything around them was covered in purple smoke.

" You are...Kevin?" He could not believe his eyes and even questioned this now.

" Why don't you believe it's me? I am the real deal." Kevin questioned.

" How is that possible?" He asked.

" I was turned into undead by that boy,"

" If you are Kevin, why would you follow the orders of a demon?" Lock shouted.

" He is not a demon, I have checked. Like you and me he is also a human." Kevin clarified. " However he does wield similar powers but trusts me he is not a bad kid."

" Kevin, why would you even want to become his servant?"

" We don't have much time so I will explain it, I wasn't killed by an enemy. The one who killed me was Commander Drake, he took away one of the seven keys that the Guild Master had ordered me to find from a secret dungeon."

" I seek revenge and that boy is my only way to become stronger," Kevin explained.

" I will help you, I believe in that boy now. We have to warn the Guild Master about this, he trusts Guild Master too much."

" Even you can not defeat drake as you are now, I don't think his motives are exactly to harm the Guild Master but he will surely do something with that key."

" But he may do something like that soon, we need to warn him." Lock said.

" He is strong to take care of himself, We can not go back to the tower in this weak condition. We will need to get stronger,"

Lock knew that what Kevin said was true, to climb the tower again. It will be life-threatening, he also didn't have any way to become stronger.

Their conversation came to an end as he felt his consciousness pulled back to where it is supposed to be.
