Andi and Lucy got home that afternoon a little more earlier than Lucy's closing hour. Pearl Emerson was surprised to see both of them especially with Lucy looking quite unwell. "Did something terrible happen?" She worriedly asked as she led them to the living room.Andi shook his head with a smile. "No, it's the other way around actually." The three of them sat down on the sofas. Pearl Emerson took a seat next to Lucy while Andi sat on another chair. "Why does she look so glum and tired?" Pearl cupped Lucy's cheeks in her hand with worry burning in her gaze."I guess it's normal for people in their first trimester of pregnancy." Andi plainly responded as if he had told his mother about Lucy's pregnancy before. Pearl nodded her head. "Oh that's true. They tend to feel really weak and sick sometimes. You know when I was pregnant with you, I--" her voice broke off. She froze for a second thinking about the conversation they were having and turned to look at Andi. "What are we talking
Breakfast was longer than usual, filled with smiles and laughter. Lucy had changed into her usual, baggy top with a skinny Jean and her hair effortlessly fell down her back in a beautiful way. Andi accompanied her for her dress fitting at the tailor's and the woman brought out the dress they had asked her to make before. It took quite an effort to get Lucy into the dress even though madam Natasha--the tailor--was sure she had taken the right measurements. The silver white dress was fitted at the top and flowed down like a princess' dress. The dress was armless and it revealed most of her back and her shoulders. It cupped tightly around her breast--maybe too tightly--unlike it was supposed to be. Madam Natasha stared confusedly at Lucy. "How quickly can a woman add? You seem to have gained more pounds than three weeks ago." Lucy chuckled awkwardly. "I guess so." Madam Natasha smiled. "Listen honey, I know of a woman who used to eat twice as much when she was nervous or stressed.
Lucy had changed back into her normal clothes and given her wedding dress to madam Natasha to adjust like she promised she would. Andi and Carla sat next to each other and Lucy and Taylor together on another chair. Lucy's every attention was focused on her husband to be and his new chatty company. They all sipped on some coffee and tea. "So you are trying to tell me right now that Mr Ryan Davidson is your mother's brother and Joel, my own fiancée, is your cousin?" Carla's brow arched skywards. Andi smiled. "It's weird isn't it? I didn't think I would learn of his marriage this way." "I didn't think I'd learn any of this this way!" Carla exclaimed with a slight chuckle. She turned to look at Taylor, "girl! You knew this all along and didn't tell me?"Taylor's hand holding her tea froze in mid air and she lowered the cup back to the table. "Huh?" She absentmindedly responded. "You have seen Joel's pictures a dozen of times, definitely you knew that he was your husband's--sorry, ex
The four of them strolled out of madam Natasha's mall, as Carla had confessed, she had a thing for blue and short things, judging from the blue mini skirt she was putting on. So she purchased a few blue things and some mini that weren't blue but beautiful to her eyes. Andi had insisted on paying for her purchase which he did even though she kept declining in. Standing by his car, Lucy stopped next to him and Carla with Taylor stood opposite the couple. A smile crept on Carla's face and the holes in her cheek deepened, several shopping bags in her hand. "So, I'll take this as part of my wedding gift. The second thing I want is a nice dinner with you and your mom, Andi. I think it's only right that I meet my aunt in law." "Alright, I'll see to it. Can I have your card then?" Andi arched his brow as he asked. "Yeah, let's exchange cards." She reached into her bag and took out a card which she exchanged with Andi for his. "Then I'll be expecting your call. Share my number with your w
Lucy stepped back with a sigh. "Don't take too long, I'll be in the car." She turned to walk away but Andi gripped her hand. With a smile, she tiptoed and kissed his lips. "She needs to move on and she'll never do that if you don't open her eyes to reality."She slipped out of his hold and went into the car. Carla looked as furious as ever, but she smiled at Andi. "I am really sorry for all of this mess, I'll give you some time but not too much time." She glared at Taylor. "You had better meet me in the car in the next five minutes!" She spat out, not caring that Andi would hear. She turned and walked away. Andi sighed. "Why would you care to hear that from me? Who am I to you that it matters so much to hear that one word from me?" His voice was soft. "I... I don't know. I just feel weird these days and I know it is related to you--""Congratulations." He cut her off. She stared wide eyed at him. Hearing that word now, it hurt more than it did when he didn't say it because she cou
The drive home was quick. Andi and Lucy went back to his house together to go over a few things for their wedding. As expected, his mother had gone out to see her friends but he was not angry because she had spent so much time locked up in the hospital that if she decided to spend the next few years going out and traveling even. "Have you talked to your mom about a family dinner before the wedding?" Andi asked his fiancée. "I mean we are getting married this Saturday and she has spent the past two months in Asia. It would be nice if she could come around and actually meet us."Lucy smiled. She was laying with her head on his chest and a tablet in her hand. They were both on the sofa. "Listen," she flipped to another image. "My mom is kind of a weird woman. The funny thing is, I have already mentioned this to her several times but she keeps saying she has seen you and your mom on the news.""But that doesn't count because I haven't seen her before. I mean..." Andi chuckled softly. "We
Andi stared surprisedly at the text. "For the past two months..." He said hesitantly. "I haven't received any message from this anonymous number. I waited for days until I forgot it ever happened and now... Now he or she-- whoever it is-- is telling me-- us! To have a flamboyant wedding." Lucy's eyes were on the plain written text that said 'have a flamboyant wedding'. She didn't even know what to say as she sat up straight. "Ho-- why-- how does this person know that we are getting married? I mean..." She leaned forward to drop her juice on the table as she continued. "We haven't told anyone except Carla and Joel and Richard Fuller. "It possibly couldn't be any of them that is sending us these texts... Could it?" Her brows arched subconsciously as she asked with a confused and worried expression on her face. "I don't think so but the lane of suspect will be them and their families. We don't know who is who here, Lucy." Andi responded with just the same amount of worry imprinted on
Minutes passed by like hours. The both of them stared at the response message, a cold chill ran down their spine. If things went awry, they would still get the answers they were playing the game for but at what risk? Lucy let out a gentle sigh. "I think..." She slightly rubbed her forehead. "I think we should do what A is asking." Andi turned to look at her. "Are you sure?" His brow arched slightly. She nodded her head. "Yeah, I think it just might work and I have an idea."***Taylor walked towards her bed and slowly and gently sat herself down. Justin wouldn't be home for a few more hours and she preferred being by herself anyway. For the next few seconds? Minutes? Hours? Taylor didn't know. But she sat there on her mind, losing her grip on reality and getting lost in a web of her own thoughts as she let her mind wander back to what had happened with Andi. 'How did he manage to get her to fall in love with him?' She asked herself. Obviously a woman with enough connections to be
