Gerald almost had a heart attack where he was standing, unlike Arnold, he even chuckled at the sight of him being surprised to hear that he would receive three billion dollars. Moreover, tomorrow Gerald would sign a letter of transfer of power belonging to the Wayne Corporation, all of which would be acquired in his name.

 "This is not a young master. You even have to come to the Wayne Corporation tomorrow to sign the transfer of power which in total is worth five trillion dollars," said Arnold.

 "Are you kidding me? I mean, I know Wayne Corporation is the biggest company on the West Island, but I can't believe that all its assets reach three trillion dollars. That's fantastic," said Gerald.

 Arnold has worked with William Wayne for a long time, in fact almost all his life, of course the numbers mentioned are not just bullshit numbers. Wayne's grandfather had said this long ago after finding out that Gerald's parents had been in a serious car accident and the Wayne Group had been taken over by Gerald's foster brother who didn't know himself.

 Regret arose in his heart because he had thrown away his only son, Grandpa Wayne made up his mind to give all his assets to his first grandson even though in the end, Arnold was sure that William's children would question this decision.

 "Go home, young master. We will discuss this matter tomorrow morning," said Arnold.

 "But please explain first why you are giving me this much money?" Gerald asked.

 "This is a wedding gift that the great master gave you," answered Arnold.

 "But this is so much. I can't possibly accept it without working," said Gerald again. Because while he was married to Harley, if he wanted to earn money, Gerald had to work very hard. This was so ingrained in Gerald's brain that now he has to work hard.

 "You can work as CEO of Wayne Corporations starting tomorrow," said Arnold.

 Arnold's words were an order for Gerald, therefore he gave up accepting the black card along with the Wayne Corporation business card because tomorrow was the most historic day in his life. Gerald had to go home to tell his wife about this and then make a plan with Harley to get Harley out of the Kyle Group which had been giving him so much trouble.

 "Harley will definitely be happy to hear this news," thought Gerald. However, when he arrived in front of the house, Harley was kicked out because he didn't want to divorce Gerald, the man heard his mother-in-law and wife talking from behind the entrance.

 "Mother is really embarrassed by Gerald's attitude of not having any manners. Just because he wanted to pay off his father's debt for his care, he tarnished all of our names, which made grandmother even more reluctant to tell us to come back," said the stepmother.

 Tonight's incident at Grandma's birthday party was a major blow to the stepmother who had hoped to return to Grandma's house. But, tonight because of the actions of her useless daughter-in-law, her dream of returning to her grandmother's house became a dream that will never come true.

 "He's a useless son-in-law. If he wants to pay off his father's exorbitant debt, he should work instead of begging," said the father-in-law.

In his life, his father-in-law really regretted marrying Harley to Gerald, who turned out to be useless and poor. She agreed with her mother-in-law's words, who considered Gerald's actions to be an act of insolence that made her face very embarrassed.

 "But what Gerald said was not wrong. Grandpa Kyle was the one who promised this to Gerald," said Harley defending Gerald.

 So far, even though Gerald and Harley are a husband and wife who have never had sexual relations and seem to give the impression that they are married just for status, Harley has always defended Gerald, who is being bullied and insulted by his family.

 He also realized that there was no appropriate position for him in the Kyle family after Kyle's grandfather left. Kyle's grandmother only looks at someone based on their social status, without caring about Harley, who has had ups and downs, making the Kyle Group continue to stand.

 "Don't defend your useless husband, Harley," said the mother-in-law loudly.

 "I'm not defending him. It's just that what I said is a fact, father, mother, please don't forget that the Gerald family are the most instrumental people who have kept the Kyle Group standing to this day.  At that moment, Gerald appeared into the house, causing the three people who were arguing to fall silent and look together at the man with different views. Harley got up from his seat and approached Gerald who came home looking very tired.

 "How is your father-in-law?" Harley asked.

 "Still the same, no changes," replied Gerald flatly.

 "Just remove your father's life support. Surely after that, your and Harley's life will be much better," said your mother-in-law.

 "Mother," Harley shouted.

 "What's wrong? All this time the problem with your marriage was that his corrupt father was lying in the hospital helpless. If only you weren't selfish and chose to remove the device installed in your father's body, you would definitely have enough money to prove it to grandma if you are a useful son-in-law." Gerald's stepmother felt hurt indeed, but she only smiled bitterly at the words of her mother-in-law who seemed to want her father to die.
