Chapter 4

After the emotional moment between both brother and sister, Freya finally pulled away from him as she sniffed through her nose and it felt like she was only perceiving the stenches of garbage now. She had been so excited to reunite with him all this while that she had failed to take note of how dirty and unkempt he looked.

“Why do you smell of garbage, has the Smith family been treating you off wrongly?” She inquired but he barely had to put a smile on his face, Adrain did not want to retaliate against the Smith family but he knew that telling her every single detail about what he had been through there was going to make her more furious.

Over the last eighteen years that he lived there, he had constantly been reminded of the fact that he was an adopted child and was only permitted to eat the leftovers after their meals, at first Adrain was not so happy about this because he wanted to be loved the same way Finn was loved, but after he started his spiritual cultivation trying to reach the highest level of cultivation which he had failed to, none of that mattered to him again.

“What is going on down there!” A tiny female voice spoke from the helicopter, calling Adrian back to reality. “Freya, we need to leave now, other residents around is watching and it is getting a lot busier!”

She went ahead to alert Freya who finally took out time to stare at her surroundings environment. Guess the sound of the helicopter had caught all of their attention and as they watched the scene unfold, they were so amazed and most of them had their eyes filled with admiration.

“Oh! Adrian, I think that it is time for us to leave, else we are just going to get surrounded by a much larger crowd and then it is going to be difficult to escape” Adrian nodded his head and followed her towards the helicopter and as he stood there, he could finally get a clear glimpse of the lady inside the helicopter.

She is a vision of loveliness with beauty that radiates within her. Her dark blue eyes were sparkling but more than the physical beauty that she possessed, Adrian could not believe his eyes. She was pure sparkling and wrapped in holy light all over her body. His eyes widened and his jaws dropped tensely while he stared at her.

Although during his training with his master, Adrian had heard of a few that possessed God's holy light but never imagined that it shine smoothly while staring at it and even that instant, he could feel the amazing power within her.

Freya who was expecting Adrian to go inside the helicopter noticed that he had frozen right there while staring at the lady in the car, she could not help but find it funny thinking that her brother had fallen in love at first glance.

“Is she also my sister?” Adrain asked, but Freya seemed to have gotten the wrong impression because he was only attracted to her ‘holy light', and knowing that it would help in his s cultivation, he hoped that he could practice with his sister's holy light.

But Freya shook her head at him. “No, she is not our sister, she is a very good friend of mine, and all of this helicopter that you see right was borrowed from her because she controls one of the four powerful families”

Freya carefully explained to him, and Adrian went ahead to approach her. There was a flicker from within only he could feel, he had been rejected by the holy light and could not go closer to her. There was a pang of disappointment in him while he pulled backward, he was hoping that he could finally be able to reach the highest level of cultivation if he should practice with holy light but did not expect to get rejected.

Even while the helicopter fled off, Adrain was in a moment of dismay as he thought of the few reasons the holy light rejected him, perhaps it thought that he had an ulterior motive for approaching in such a manner, or could it be that his cultivation had been contaminated in some certain way.

He thought to himself and even while he went ahead to think of several reasons that could have mounted to this, he could not wrap his head around it.

As the helicopter left the surrounding residents, they were all in shock that the mistreated son of the Smith family turned out to be from a prestigious family. They all gathered around to discuss it like it was a matter of importance.

“Does this mean that the Smith family finally gets to rise through this?” One of the residents spoke to the other in total bewilderment of what had just unfolded right before their eyes.

“Or perhaps this might turn out to become their misfortune remember that he was never treated fairly and if only the Smith family knew of his true identity all this while, perhaps they wouldn't have treated him the way they did”

“But I still think that he might forget about all of the bad things they did to him and help them raise to fortune m, after all, they are the ones that had raised him for eighteen years” other residents went ahead to suggest again but the previous lady refute her saying;

“I do not think that is possible, do you understand how badly he was treated, he saved their son's life Finn from death but when he had a terrible accident that almost took his life, none of them cared about him or even bothered to check up on him at the hospital to find out if he was still alive or dead, rather Mrs. Eleanor quickly threw off his things away and went ahead to celebrate their son's birthday”

She explained vividly and the rest of the residents lowered their heads and shook it while they let out a long sigh, no doubt that they were all curious about how things were going to turn out. Just then, the car of the Smith family drove off, no doubt that they were heading to the Wesley mansion inside the car were an arrogant mother and her son of the smith family who could not wait to table out her request to the Westley family as soon as she got there.
