The Heir of Wesley Returns

Chapter 3

Although Adrian had been with the smith for years now, they were not aware of his magical abilities which was the main reason he was able to survive such a terrible car accident and even recovered so quickly. He could vividly recall when he chose to embark on this path which had made them regard him as a freak and treated him so worse like he was not human and did not deserve to even exist.

Adrian was finally able to grab his clothes and while he did, but after searching for a while, he realized that there was a particular item that he was unable to find yet, it was an old doll which he guessed was likely back inside the house and without his presence there to subdue the evil spirit, it was definitely going to give the family a scare that they might be forced to leave the house.

Covered in stench and smelly like a beggar, Adrian thought of where he should go next when suddenly there was a loud sound from the sky. There was a fleet of helicopters in the sky as it hovered in the sky, its rotors whirring softly while it began to descend and even while it did, Adrian stood there in bewilderment wondering what was actually going on.

It was not just a single helicopter, but several of them, and while they carefully landed, he stood alert ready to face whatever danger that might come out of it. But instead of a threat from the magical realm just like he had guessed, there was a pretty damsel that stepped out of it and walked directly to him.

She was followed by several others, no doubt that this was a grand celebration and yet he thought to himself that they might have the wrong address because there wasn't anyone in the neighborhood capable of celebrating with such a grand fleet.

“Hi Adrian, it has been a while and I must say that it took me so much effort to find you” The sophisticated lady standing before him had a pretty smile spread through her soft lips, and yet Adrian was unable to fathom what was going on here, he thought of telling the lady that she probably had the wrong person, but he knew that she should be aware of that considering he was looking like a beggar and smelly.

“I apologize Ma, but how do you know my name?”

“Because you are my brother. I have been searching for you for several years and I can't believe that I finally found you.”

“What are you talking about Miss, are you in any way drunk?”

Do I look drunk to you Adrian, my name is Freya, you are the eldest son of the Westley family and we have been searching for you for years now” She explained and even while she did, it almost brought tears to her eyes finally seeing her brother.

“Wait! The Westley cooperation that is owned by the Westley family, are we talking about the same thing here?” His eyes popped out so wild even as he did, he was so surprised and was slowly trying to place the dots together, yet she nodded with a smile on her lips.

“Were you the one that had organized the internship program that had just been concluded for my high school?”

“Yes! Although I was certain that you were the one, I needed to be one hundred percent sure. The internship program at your high school was all for you and a means to get a sample of your blood for a paternity test”

She carefully explained to him and Adrian froze right there. He could not believe that he belonged to such a wealthy family all this while and yet he was forced to go through all the series of humiliation that he did.

“I could not wait to get you back home which is why I organized this helicopter fleet just for you”

She turned to everyone standing there, there were several men dressed in corporate suits and a few young ladies which he identified as the hostess of the helicopter coupled with their polite smiles while they held up a banner up to the sky for him to be able to view and it was boldly written.

they all waved their hands at him while they loudly welcomed him home, Adrain could not believe that this was happening and just then, she wrapped her arms around him and hugged so tightly and for the first time, he finally felt a warmth because she did not care about how dirty he was, she still went ahead to hug him.

“Welcome back home brother, I can't believe that I finally found you, I spent so many resources searching for you and there were times when I almost gave up, but I am glad that I did not, you are finally going to get back home and assume your position as the true heir of the Westley cooperation”

She announced and even while she let out all those words, there was still a hint of doubt inside of him wondering if all of this was true.
