"Strip!"

"Strip!"

"You wouldn't believe this! The views are climbing massively!" One girl yelled, distracting everyone.

Another girl closed a palm over her lips.

"My goodness! It's almost 20 million, in just five minutes. We are trending again!" She yelled.

"The site is about to crash from the traffic!" Another girl yelled, making me smile softly. This was the best way to go. He needed to be taught a lesson.

The hall was plunged into disarray, making me smile inwardly as Mikky's cheeks blazed with embarrassment.

"Y’all should stop shouting!" He yelled with all his might but the students were in a frenzy. Their energy was crazy.

I raised a finger, silencing the "Do the needful and strip." I ordered and he moved away.

"You can't force me to do something I don't want to do!" Mikky yelled.

"Oh, but you have no choice, Master Mikky. You were aware of the consequences of your bargain. You made the call, so dance to it." The principal interrupted, making me smile softly.

"You must be kidding me," Josh exclaimed, his mouth falling open the moment we arrived in front of the Danish restaurant. The best in town. I was expecting this reaction from him because I wouldn't also believe it if I didn't know how much I possessed in my account. I still had a total of 980 million dollars untouched so I was very confident in my abilities. They deserved everything and more. Josh had rallied around to help me in my downtime without asking for a refund. Even my grandmother had combed everything she had to help me. "Are you sure you will be able to afford even the smallest plate of food?" He inquired from me and I kept on chuckling. "Are you sure you didn't get involved in money laundering or something illegal? This is unreal. We cannot afford the hefty prices attached to these meals. Let's just go back before we get disgraced. It wouldn't make any sense if that happened to us now, would it?" He inquired with a whisper, concerns stretching across his face as he tri

The leader threw his head back and laughed, "You think this is funny? Do you even know how much he owes me?""I'm guessing he hasn't filled you in, which is why you think you can help him out. It's pretty laughable to think someone like you could actually do anything for your friend in this situation." His tone was serious now, and the grin vanished as he shot me a fierce look.I stood my ground, legs firmly planted, ready to face whatever they wanted to throw at me.Josh had done too much for me to let anyone disrespect him like that.I crossed my arms and waited for them to finish. "Are you done yet?" I asked, brushing off the gentle pull from my friend who was probably worried about me getting

I quickly performed a head count as the men alighted from their cars. Twelve solid men in powerful suits, looking every inch as powerful as they should.A man stepped forward out of the dozen and headed towards me.He was intercepted by the leader of the gang and his henchmen. "Good..." The leader trailed off when he saw their faces grow grim. The group moved past the leader and his gang towards me and bowed as soon as they got close. "Young master." They chorused."Is this the guy who offended you?" I could see the perplexed look on the leader's face, and there was nothing wrong with him."I am sorry," the leader quickly apolo

"I will see you guys later. Thanks for coming earlier." I told Cole and his men cryptically who nodded, before bowing."You are welcome, young master." They chorused.I felt weirded out because I wasn't used to something like this but understood that it was their way of life."Tell him I said thank you," I replied again cryptically hoping that Josh didn't decipher it."We will... If you need anything else, please do not hesitate to call us." Cole spoke.I nodded curtly, watching as they entered into their cars and drove off.A hand tapped on mine aggressi

"S-sir... That is over a million..." The waitress trailed off when she realized that she was probably getting on my nerves. I pinned her with a firm stare, "Well, this is none of your business if you ask me. Now take me to the VIP room." I replied, shutting her up instantly. She shot me a suspicious stare, but I maintained my firm resolve. She wasn't going to get me browbeaten. We walked together to the VIP room and I scanned the area. Josh and my grandmother huddled together probably wondering how I was going to pay for this. Josh signaled me stylishly to disembark on my journey, but I pretended not to see him. He wasn't going to stop me from doing what I should at the right time simply because somebody thought it was nice for her to disrespect someone.I inspected the room to my taste. "Give them everything they want. I don't want any complaints from you or anyone. Grandma, Josh... Enjoy yourself to the fullest." I told them. Concern raged in my grandmother's eyes but I guess sh

"Thank you so much, Jordan," Josh said as we headed out of the restaurant, he just couldn't stop thanking me. "For the umpteenth time, Josh, it's enough. What are friends for?" I replied in a frustrated manner. He was determined to wear me out with his excessive display of gratitude. He frowned in confusion, "I understand that, but not a lot of people would want their friends to enjoy the good things of life with them. I don't take this for granted." Josh insisted. If I allowed him, he would keep on singing my praises without getting tired. "Okay," I replied so that I didn't sound rude. When we passed the car park, he opened his mouth again, in an attempt to appreciate me, and I raised a finger. "You worry yourself a lot. I've heard you. This should last for a lifetime, just ensure to extend my regards to your mom and sister." I cut him off before he launched an avalanche of gratitude.Tears misted in his eyes as he hugged me."Thank you for today, I'll see you later, buddy." Josh

"Good evening, sir, I'm here to take you to the house," Cole said with a deep bow immediately after my grandmother came out of the restaurant. "Okay," I asked him just to be sure I wasn't getting into the wrong hands. "Who is he, son?" She whispered in a shaky tone, afraid that he might be here to hurt her. I smiled softly, "Grandma, it's a surprise." I sensed the hesitancy in her gaze but trust overrode it right after. "I hope it's a pleasant surprise. My heart's too fragile to contain such." She responded. I grabbed her hand, stroking it reassuringly, "You don't need to worry. I'll tell you everything as soon as we arrive." We climbed into the car together for a bit waiting for the next option. "I know that you said you were going to tell me everything when we arrive but I cannot wait. Can you just let me know what exactly is happening?" My grandmother demanded as soon as she settled into the chair. I knew that talking my way out of it wasn't going to work, so I heaved a sigh

"We are here, sir," Cole said while looking up from his driver's seat. I nodded, before opening the door and alighting. I didn't wait for him to go before me because he had already given me the keys. "I'll just be on my way sir." He called just as soon as I reached the top of the porch. "Have a good night Cole," I responded before pushing the door open. My grandmother followed behind me as we went in for the first inspection. There wasn't anyone else I would have wanted as an accompaniment right now. "Everything is so beautiful." My grandmother gushed, making me smile again. My eyes caught all the top-tier brands, ranging from Louis Vuitton to Puma, D&G, and even Versace. The rug was so impeccable that if I wasn't the owner, I would have felt guilty for stepping on it. My eyes wandered around the living room. My dreams had finally come to reality but I was still having a hard time believing it. "Grandma, I think that we should turn in for the night because we have had a long day

The crowd swarms City Hall’s steps again. Always with their banners, their chants, their 'hope'. I lean against the stone column, arms crossed. The mic waits. I don’t. “You want a mayor?” My voice cuts through the noise. They freeze. “Pick one. Not me.” Signs drop. Faces crumple. A woman in front—frayed coat, eyes red—steps forward. “But you 'exposed' the rot. You 'know' who’s clean!” “I know 'nobody’s' clean.” I jab a finger at the courthouse. Its cracked dome glints in the sun. “You think I’m your savior? I’m the guy who lights matches. 'You' rebuild.” Murmurs rise. A man shouts, “We 'trust' you!” Others echo. Trust. A fragile word. Brittle. “Trust?” I laugh. Hollow. “Trust got Gregory Tran killed. Trust let Coker fester. 'Trust' is your problem.” I turn to leave. Hands grab my sleeve. Desperate. Clammy. “Please,” the woman begs. “Just… guide us.” I shake her off. “Guidance costs extra.” ''' They follow me home. Petitions piled on my doorstep. Candles lit like a

Jordan's POVThe scent of fresh paint and polished wood filled the air as I stepped into the Langston Consortium’s main building. It was mine now and I hoped he was proud of the slight changes I made. His death didn't go unpunished and I wouldn't let anything happen to this company no matter the cost.Near the entrance, an older man in a faded suit approached, his steps hesitant. His gaze held quiet hope. “Mr. Jordan, I’ve been with this company for thirty years. My loyalty has never wavered. I—”I lifted a hand, cutting him off gently. “The past stays in the past. It’s time for something new.” I uttered in a finite toneHis th

His jaw worked as if grinding gravel, his eyes shifting to the large screen where the next piece of evidence played. It was a briefcase exchanged proving Coker had bribed the inspector. The official took it with a quick glance over his shoulder, counted the cash, then nodded. Mr. Coker’s voice came through as he gave clear instructions. “This needs to be handled. No complications.”Gasps rippled through the courtroom.I leaned forward, hands gripping the armrest of my chair. My throat felt dry. Across from me, Mr. Coker’s wife pressed a hand to her mouth, face drained of color. The prosecutor stepped forward. His eyes flicked to the judge, then back to the screen. “For the record, this foo
