Water poured down on his face forcing Keith to fight for his life! He had no idea what it was but it felt cold and his entire bed was wet!

He was out of bed in minutes, staring at Ellinor like a freaking monster!

"What was that for?" Keith demanded.

He'd thought someone cruel and ruthless had tossed him into the river or something!

"You're the one who said you wanted revenge. You should be the first person to wake up. You seem to enjoy sleeping your days away. Lazy brute"

Ellinor tossed the bucket to the side, making his way out of the room.

Keith watched in disbelief, are there really people who are just like Ellinor?

"I'm not a lazy brute!" Keith snapped

Keith glanced down at his clothes and sighed, those were about the only ones he had left and now it's wet..

Keith stepped out of the room, following Ellinor out to the huge compound…

The servants were cleaning up the compound, some regarded Keith in curiosity, wondering who the handsome stranger was…

Aroma of fresh bread and bacon filled the air and Keith wondered if they would be having breakfast first

To his shock, Ellinor leads them both towards the woods, away from the house..

"Where are we going?" he asked

Ellinor said nothing and Keith watched in suspicion.

How sure was he that this man wasn't going to kill him for staring at his woman yesterday…

"If this is about looking at her yesterday…It was an accident I swear!" Keith said his own defence.

He had no idea where they were going or what was running through Ellinor's mind but he sure hoped that it wasn't how to get rid of him without a trace…

"Listen, I didn't mean to. It was a mistake and it won't happen again, I promise… don't kill me!" Keith blurted out.

Ellinor holds back a chuckle "Why would I waste my sword on a pathetic man like you?"

"I'm grateful that you don't intend to kill me but pathetic? I'll take anything but that!" Keith snapped

"We'll see about that" He said, scaring Keith even more…

"Do we really have to do this?" Keith

asked as Ellinor pulled stop.

They were in the middle of a very big field with nothing around there for miles and miles away…

Keith realised they were surrounded by tall mountains and trees.. A mini sized paradise..

Ellinor kicked a half filled bag of bean and tray towards Keith who regarded the items in confusion..

"What is this?"

"Count every grain in that sack"

"What?"

Keith glanced at the bag of beans and he couldn’t believe this! Is that really where his training will start?

"What part of sword fighting involves counting beans?" Keith asked, genuinely curious.

Ellinor gives him no reply, finds himself a rock to sit on…

"You have to convince the master and i believe this is an easy task"

Keith settled on the ground, picking up the tray and pulling the bag of beans closer.

He began counting each grain, anything to convince Warden he was ready!

The first few hours were very quiet and Keith seemed to be making progress until the sun began to hit him mercilessly on the skin!

His vision blurred terribly and his entire body covered in sweat. How is this going to convince the Master to train him or he just wanted to punish him?

"Can I move over to the trees over there? It's pretty hot uhm?" Keith asked..

"You sit down there and count each grain"

"But it's really hot! Are you not sweating?!"

Not a single sweat on Ellinor's face despite clamped in thick clothing..

Keith's clothes had dried under the sun but now damp his own sweat!

"I don't sweat," Ellinor offered .

"That absolute nonsense! The sun is this hot and you don't feel the heat? Forget that, I'm thirsty. Do you have water with you?" Keith asked

Ellinor pulls out a leather pouch filled with water and stretches it towards Keith to come and get it.

Just as Keith approached him, he emptied the pouch, pouring the water down to the ground!

"Why did you do that?" Keith demanded, almost in tears.

"Because I can" Ellinor said

If there was one thing Keith found very annoying about Ellinor, it would be the fact that he was a ugly bastard!

Not that Ellinor was ugly, he was oddly pretty in a very womanly way. Keith hated his ugly attitude!

"Go back to counting your beans! You have till sundown!"

"This is terrible! The sun is so hot and you poured the water away! Who does that?!"

"People who don't have to convince someone to train their lazy ass how to use a sword! Back!"

He was yet to eat anything all day and Ellinor on the other hand, seems to have eaten half the fruit in the forest!

Keith returned to his counting once more but it was only a matter of time before he laid down flat on the floor, trying to catch a breath…

The sun was so hot he felt like he was going to lose his mind!

"Hey, you're not done counting!" Ellinor reminded, seeming very irritated…

"I can't count anymore….I don't think…..I.. "

Those were his very last words before he passed out. Ellinor stared at him in disbelief and soon burst into a forced laughter..

Is this man really ready for something as big as revenge?

Even the easiest of tasks, he's unable to do it!

He wondered what his Master found special in this weird looking , strangely handsome commoner!

How is this man supposed to help him get what the master wants?

Seeing there was no water to wake him up, Ellinor approached him and squat right beside him..

"Hey!" He called slapping his face harshly.

But Keith wasn't waking up . He check for a pulse and luckily the idiot was very much alive!

Ellinor wanted to curse out loud! A high-ranking assassin like himself is stuck with a nobody like Keith!

Could the master trying to teach him something he needed to know?

Ellinor decided they had had enough counting for today. He whistled and called for his horse which came running out of the woods…

He gathered the beans and saddled it on the horse, he tied a rope around Keith's leg, mounted his horse and rode all the way back to the mansion with Keith's body right behind..
