It did not take long for Elena to find out about Rhys return, and the moment she did, she rushed over to the Fernandez mansion, insisting on seeing him. Rhys didn’t turn her down out rightly. “Where have you been? Everyone was so worried about you.” Tears were streaming down her eyes as she said this whilst hugging him. Elena was not prepared to let go, worried that the moment she did, she might discover that the person before her wasn’t real- but a mirage.

“I’m so sorry, I just needed some alone time. I should have informed you.” Rhys hugged Elena tightly, as if trying to convey the love he felt for her. While he was very close to her, he used that chance to slip something to her pocket.

Even though Elena was aware of this, she pretended not to notice. Rhys soon broke the hug between them. “Jonathan is probably mad at me, he was here earlier but I couldn’t explain what was wrong with me to him.”
