Chapter 134
All he could do was cherish the time they had left, to make the most of every moment, to tell his grandfather how much he loved and appreciated him. And so, with a heavy heart, Derrick began to talk to his grandfather, to tell him all the things he needed to say before it was too late.

"Grandfather, I'm so sorry," Derrick said, his voice cracking with emotion. "I'm so sorry that I didn't get to spend more time with you, that I didn't get to tell you how much I love and appreciate you."

Sir Williams' eyes fluttered open, and he looked at Derrick with a faint smile. "My boy," he whispered, his voice weak but full of love. "You have nothing to apologize for. You have been an amazing grandson, and I couldn't be prouder of you."

Derrick's tears flowed freely now, as he held his grandfather's hand and poured out his heart. "I love you, Grandfather," he said, his voice shaking with grief. "I love you so much."
