Chapter thirty-seven

Jack Oniels voice was barely above whispers and laced with a mixture of determination and anger.

The situation was intense and palpable as Max Xanderson stared at the wooden door in front of him in shock.

The news had really done a good one on him.

His head was dizzy, his eyes were blurry.

"General Cobra claw!"

"General Cobra claw!"

"General…are you still there."

The voice of Captain Drex was vehement over the phone.

"I'm okay, Captain…just stay back at the cemetery, I'm coming to you right away."

Max Xanderson's voice was barely above whispers as he dropped the call and plopped into the pavement by the door.

Tears blew down his eyes slowly, the sky above darkened immediately.

The great downpour added to the intensity of the moment.

Staring in the rain, Max Xanderson could picture his mom, himself and Charles Xanderson, his dad playing under the rain.

The memory was too much for Max Xanderson to bear, he turned immediately and punched the other side of the fence.
