“How dare you!”
Brian dropped his hand from Sarah's waist with a frustrated look on his face as he heard Adrian's voice from behind.
He turned back and a soft gasp left his lips as his gaze landed on Adrian. He was awe-struck to see Adrian in his hotel room. Not only did Adrian have the gut to stalk him to the hotel but he also found his way into his hotel room.
How did he do it? Why wasn't he thrown out?
However, Brian remained unfazed.
“It's a wonder how you managed to enter the hotel without being thrown by the security men,” Brian said and chuckled mockingly.
Adrian's eyes burned with anger after hearing Brian's statement. He couldn't believe that Brian could still be talking to him in such a way despite what he did to his wife.
He moved closer to him and clenched to the crutches with his left hand then raised his right hand and slapped him fiercely on his cheek.
Brian staggered backward as the impact of the slap made him lose his stamina.
He placed his hand on his right cheek stung with pain and raised his face with a cold look on his face. Blood spurted out of his lips and he licked it gently.
“How dare you!” Adrian said coldly and leaped forward.
“How could you think of doing such a thing to my wife? I had always known you never have a good intention,” he said and Brian scoffed.
“I'll make sure you regret your action. You'll pay for this,” he said and Brian chuckled mockingly.
Brian cleaned his bloodstained lips and cleared his throat to address the handicapped man before him. “What made you think you could threaten me?”
“You have some explanation to do to your wife since you don't like to mind your business. You'll explain to her how she ended up in a hotel room with you,” he said and Adrian looked up with a cold gaze.
“What do you mean?” Adrian asked.
“I missed this shot because of you but I won't next time because there's always another time.”
“As much as I'd like to know if you'll have sex with her or endure her sexiness, I have to go,” Brian said in a cold tone, shrugged, and walked out of the hotel room.
Just before Adrian could question him concerning his statement, Brian left. He was left to ponder on his thoughts.
Adrian glared at Brian's departing figure till he couldn't see him again.
He walked closer to his wife and sat down on the bed then placed her on her lap.
He frowned as he placed his hand on her cheeks which were red and flushed. His blood boiled with anger as he stared at the hickey on her cheeks.
The thought of someone else making out with his wife annoyed him. She was his wife and he should be kissing her, not someone else.
He couldn't blame her because she was drugged.
Just as he tried to stand up, she held his hand firmly and stared at his face dreamily.
“Please don't leave me,” she muttered in a weak tone and hugged him tightly as though her life depended on it.
He stared at her with a confused look, unable to tell the reason why she was behaving in such a way. He hadn't seen her behave toward him in such a way so he was cautious.
He could tell that she wasn't in the right state of mind.
He looked up and arched her eyebrows as she rubbed her hand on his bare chest and began to wink at him.
“Please don't leave me,” she said and began to kiss him on every part of his body.
He staggered backward and pushed her away from his body. He couldn't understand why she was doing such a thing despite being in her subconscious state.
There was no way she could do such a thing in her conscious state. He had never had sex with his wife.
“What are you doing?” He asked and half-yelled as she began to strip off her bra and panties till she was fully naked.
He tried to stagger away after locking the door so someone else wouldn't stumble into the room and see his wife naked but she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly.
At that moment, he realized what Brian meant by his last statement. His body shivered with cold sensation as he felt her curvy and naked body on his body for the first time.
It was then he realized what Brian did. Brian drugged his wife with an aphrodisiac drug which is the reason why she was sexually aroused.
As much as he would like to have sex with his gorgeous wife, he would be taking advantage of her subconscious state.
Although she's his wife, he couldn't do such a thing.
“Ahh…” she yelped and scratched her body nervously as she began to feel discomfort.
He swallowed hard as he watched her force her finger into her V area when she could no longer control the urge.
The effects of the aphrodisiac effect were becoming intense and he knew if nothing was done, she might end up harming herself.
“I'm sorry for doing this,” he said and took off his belt then stripped off his trousers.
Her eyes shone with excitement as they landed on his d**k. She laughed naughtily and jumped on him.
She moaned out in pleasure as he began to pump into her fiercely.
After a few rounds, she fell asleep and laid her head on his broad chest.
The next day, she woke up with her head throbbing in pain. She squeezed her eyes as the ray of the sun pierced into her eyes.
She yawned and rubbed her hand on her eyes. She turned to the left as her hand hit something like skin beside her.
A gasp left her lips as her gaze landed on the person lying beside her on the bed. It was her husband, Adrian. Not only was he on her bed, he was also naked.
It was then she realized she was also naked.
What!
What happened between us? She asked her and her heart raced rapidly as different thoughts began to cross her mind.
Her blood boiled with anger as she noticed the sourness between her legs. The bastard has the guts to have sex with her.
She couldn't tell how she ended up in a hotel room but she was careless about it at that moment. She needed to know how Adrian ended up in the hotel room with her lying naked.
No matter how hard she tried to remember what happened, she ended up hurting her head. She couldn't remember what happened.
All she remembered was drinking from Brian's cup at her birthing event.
She slapped his head and he woke up abruptly. He looked around with a confused look and a cold sweat broke out on his face as his gaze landed on his wife, Sarah.
“What did you do to me?” She asked in a cold tone, wrapping the duvet around her naked breasts.
“I can explain. Please listen to me,” he said but she wasn't ready to listen to him.
“What's there to listen to, huh? You brought me deceitfully and had sex with me. No, I mean raped,” she said and he ruffled his hair with a frustrated look.
“Nope, I didn't.”
“It was Brian who brought you here,” he half-yelled and she kept quiet.
Huh?
“Brian?” Sarah asked with a confused look on her face and he nodded his head. He placed his hand on his chest and cleared his throat. “That’s the truth. He brought you here.”“The other time that I warned you to stay away from him, I saw him putting a substance inside your drink while you were unaware. I warned him to stay away from you but he refused. I came…” she interrupted him with a deep frown on her face before he could finish explaining to her. “Can’t you hear yourself?” She asked with a cold look on her face. “You claimed that it was Brian who brought me to this place but how come that I'm here with you?” she asked in a cold tone and he shook his head with a sigh. He knew it would be hard to convince his wife that he was only trying to help her from the wolf in human clothing. “Please listen and try to understand me,” he said and crouched close to her but she sent a cold glare at him. “I won't. Keep whatever explanation you have to yourself,” she said and he bit on his l
“What!” Adrian gasped out in shock with a surprised look on his face. He couldn't understand why they wanted to arrest him just because he was having a nice time with his wife. Wasn't Sarah his wife? Why all of this? He wished he could get an answer to those questions that were disturbing his mind but he couldn't. He was clueless with no direction. Once again, he would be cheated upon. “Come with you to your custody? What do you mean, officer?” Adrian asked with a confused look, his heart was racing rapidly. “Yes, you have to come with me to the custody for interrogation,” the officer said in a cold tone and Brianna hissed. “What's the meaning of this, officer? I told you that he has sex with my daughter. He assaulted her and you're saying you want to take him away for interrogation.”“I thought you were supposed to take him away and lock him up in a cell,” Brianna said in an angry tone as she turned to the officer. “That's enough, madam. You can't tell me what to do so let me do
What! Adrian gasped out in shock and his mouth widened agape, unable to comprehend the revelation. How is that possible? He asked himself but he couldn't get an answer to himself. He didn't want to believe that the officer was lying. He needed to do something or he might end up in the cell for trying to save his wife, who was almost destroyed by the effect of the aphrodisiac drug. “You can't arrest me. I didn't bring her here,” he adamantly opposed and the officer became impatient. “Don't make me angry, Mr. Man. This is the proof before you so why are you still opposing me? If you don't comply, I would have to force you to then,” the officer said and Adrian kept quiet for a while. He took a deep breath. “You can't arrest me for the crime that I didn't commit. I didn't do anything to her,” he said in a cold tone. Sarah felt the sincerity in his voice but the anger boiling inside of her wouldn't let her admit it. “That's the proof before you. You can check it yourself,” the offic
Brian? He was surprised when he heard his name. He thought the officer called the wrong cellmate until the officer called him by his name after sending his doubt. Why would Brian want to see him and not his wife? Somehow, he was disappointed that it was Brian and not his wife who came to the police station to check up on him. He thought it was his wife at first and he was beginning to have hope until he discovered it was his wife. The level of disappointment he felt couldn't be explained. He wondered why she chose to believe a stranger over him. She would have believed him under any circumstances but she chose not to believe him now. “Are you sure of what you're saying, officer?” He asked and his cellmate scoffed inwardly. “Will you get up and stop questioning me? I thought I had answered your question earlier,” the policeman complained that something was wrong. “Whatever,” Adrian shook his head with a sigh and rolled his eyes at the officer, who failed to notice it because of t
“Okay fine,” Adrian shrugged and moved backward then sat down on the chair. He leaned on the wall behind him and caressed his chin calmly with a sly smile on his face. He shook his head after estimating the time he had left before Dean, who was Dark Ace's minion, would give up the ghost. He wished he could save him but since they had underestimated him, he didn't have any reason to intervene. That was the type of world we live in. The rich or people at higher levels tend to belittle the poor or the less privileged. Or isn't it? “What are we going to do?” Dark Ace asked worriedly but none of them said anything. They couldn't tell what was happening to their friend. “Mr. Lucas, please can you help us?” Dark Ace asked nervously as he turned to a middle-aged man, who was sitting quietly in a corner with a cold look on his face. For the first time, Adrian noticed the presence of another man in the cell room apart from those cellmates who were trying to harass him before one o
“The commander?” Adrian asked with a worried look on his face and the female officer nodded her head affirmatively. “Are you sure?” He asked again, his heart racing rapidly. He didn't know the crime he had offended, which made the commander interested in seeing him. “Yes. And you should be at ease because he means no harm,” she said and he nodded his head calmly. “Don't worry. You'll be fine,” Dark Ace said and patted his shoulder. “We got your back,” they carried him to his feet and Dean stretched his crutches to him. He couldn't find the genuine smile that crept on his face after those guys helped him up. Unlike the rich people he saved on his wife's birthday, these people before him were grateful for saving their friend's life. He loved it. His head shook slightly after he remembered that he was being called the commander. Was it because of what Brian said? Did he talk to the commander to punish him? Different negative thoughts began to roam around in his head and e
“You don't need to thank me because you're going to save some lives today so I hope you won't disappoint me,” the commander said and he smiled. “Of course, I won't. I'll do all I can in my power to save them, Sir,” Adrian said confidently and the commander smiled. “But sir how did I know that you won't go back on your…” the commander interrupted him before he could complete his statement. “Go back on my words?” The commander asked as though he knew what Adrian wanted to say. Adrian stared at him with a surprised look, unable to fathom how that man managed to know it was him. “Yes, sir,” he responded and lowered his head. “Well, I know this is going to happen, that's why I prepared this contract to validate my words,” the commander said and brought out two copies of documents. He stretched one at Adrian and kept the other one for himself. “What is this, Sir?” he asked. “That is the agreement between both of us that I'll release after you save those patients in the ward. I'm doi
What!He staggered backward and held onto his crutches so that he wouldn't lose his balance and fall. His heart skipped as he watched his wife hug the man, who seemed to be a rich person. He hugged her tightly as though his life depended on his wife. His heart broke into pieces as he watched his wife glance at him and turn to the man then entered into the car, pretending as though she didn't see him. He shook his head with a sigh and bit on his lower lips with an angry look on his face. Of course, she wouldn't let the rich man before her see her husband who was supposed to be locked up in the cell because she thought he plotted what happened to her last night. He was worried that she wasn't going to be fine with the presence of Smith but he could only care less afterward. He saw her doing fine with another man so there isn't any reason for him to worry or bother himself about her well-being. “I’ll be fine. I believe that,” he said even though he knew clearly that he was lying t

“How could you do such a thing?” Adrian began to blame him and Daniel didn't like it. “Fine. I shouldn't have done such a thing but I have no choice,” Daniel said and Smith stared at him with a confused look on his face. “What do you mean? You have always had a choice. You made it so what are you saying about it?” He asked with an angry look on his face. “You won't blame me. Not like it's my fault anyway.”“If you'd listened to me when I told you to stop giving free meditation, I wouldn't have done such a thing but you didn't listen instead you ignored me,” Daniel said and he shrugged. “How could you do such a thing because of that, huh? What if that man went overboard and burned down this place just like he'd threatened?” Adrian half-yelled and he shook his head with a sigh. “Fine. I shouldn't have done it. And I'm very sorry. Please forgive me,” he said and Adrian scoffed. “Get the hell out of my face,” he said in a cold tone and Daniel nodded his head. “You won't forgive me
“What are you talking about?” The man blinked twice and looked away. “I don't know unless you tell me the person who paid you to frame me,” Adrian said in a cold and firm tone. The man looked up and glanced at his face then looked away quickly. “How did this cripple doctor know too much?” He asked himself but he couldn't get an answer. He couldn't get the reason why Adrian was able to uncover his flaws within seconds just after touching his hand and checking his pulse. Adrian smirked discreetly when he noticed the look on the old man's face. He knew what the old man was hiding. What the man didn't know was that he wasn't only a local doctor but he was a smart one indeed. The man admitted to the claims that he changed the prescription but he didn't tell anyone who told him to change the prescription. The man does not know the medical field so he couldn't change the drugs anyhow. And besides, he was desperate. It could be whether he was convinced to change the prescription or som
“You'll burn down my burn for what? What have I done wrong? So it's my fault treating you,” Adrian said in a calm tone. He remained indifferent and unfazed. He didn't care. He was ready for whatever that was going to happen because he knew that the illness should have healed up by then. “Don't give us that crap. It seems you don't care about your life, huh?” one of those men asked with an angry look on his face. “I do but you have to give me a few details before you can conclude that I'm sent to him or whatever.”“Or is this how you're going to treat me even after treating you for free?” Adrian asked in an annoyed tone and they scoffed. “That's the main reason why I'm suspicious of you. Who else gives medicine for free in this recession, huh?” The man spoke up in a harsh tone and he took a deep breath. Adrian bit on his lower lips and clenched into his crutches then approached the man, who glared at him disdainfully. “What are you doing?” One of those men asked and surrounded th
The next day, he opened his eyes as his alarm blared out loudly. He groaned out with a frustrated look on his face and reached out to the alarm on the table then put it off. “Why do you have to disturb me, huh?” He asked and stood up from the bed. He yawned and rubbed his hand on his eyes. He reached out to the crutches on the floor and clenched them close to himself. “Ahh…” he grunted out in pain as he struggled to climb down from the bed with the crutches. He limped toward the nightstand where his phone was ringing. He reached out to it and picked it up from the nightstand. He rested his arm on crutches and swiped through the phone with his right hand. He arched his eyebrows with a confused look on his face as he stared at the caller ID, which turned out to be Chloe. Why is she talking to him? He asked himself but he couldn't get an answer to it. He took a deep breath and picked the call then placed the phone close to his ears. “Hello,” he spoke up in his cold tone. “Hello,
By the time Adrian arrived home, he was tired and his body was aching seriously. He took a deep breath as he stood before the door and glanced at it with uncertainty in his heart. He couldn't stop feeling bad for what he said to Mr. Daniel. Mr. Daniel looked hurt and heartbroken after he made such a statement. He wished he could reverse what he said but it was too late. The deed has already been done. He could only beg him and ask for his forgiveness to soothe his heart. I knocked at the door and the door creaked open, revealing Daniel who was in a singlet and a short. “Welcome,” he said casually and turned to the left. “Daniel,” he called him back but Daniel pretended as though he didn't hear him. “Please don't leave yet,” he said and Daniel stopped on his track then turned to him. “What's the problem?” Mr. Daniel asked with a cold look on his face and he hit on his lower lips, unaware of what to say or do. “About what I said to you earlier. I know I shouldn't have judged you
“It seems someone misses me,” he said as he approached them and they nodded their heads quickly. “Yes. We missed you, Mr. Adrian.”“Where have you been?”“Why didn't you open the shop? We have been worried whether something is wrong with you,” one of them said and he shrugged. “Worried about me or worried that I wouldn't be able to treat you if anything happens to me,” he demanded and they kept quiet. “It's still the same. Not like it's different,” one of the people, who were waiting for him, replied in a hoarse tone. He shook his head with a sigh and reached out for the key inside his pocket then insisted it inside the keyhole and opened the door. His patient pushed the door open because of his condition and they walked inside the shop. “Please treat me first. I came earlier,” one of them said and the other one disagreed. “That's not true. I came earlier than you but I went to do something so I returned to meet you,” he said. “Why did you leave if your health is important to y
“What if I told him that you're a local doctor? Aren't you?” Daniel asked in a cold tone and Adrian looked up with an angry and shocked expression on his face. “That's not possible. You didn't tell him, right?” Adrian asked in a concerned tone and Daniel scoffed. “What's with the look? I told him, "So what's the problem?” Daniel asked in a cold tone and he groaned out with a frustrated look on his face. “How could you tell him that I'm a local doctor? Can't you tell that he's someone that you shouldn't entrust my secret to and besides, he seems to be a powerful individual,” he said and Daniel shrugged. “I know and that's the reason why I told him the truth. I can't afford to offend someone like him. And besides, he paid me a lot of money,” Daniel said and rubbed his hand on his hair. “How could you tell him? You don't know the implication of what you've just done. I bet you don't know.”“How could you stoop so low and give me out to him because of your love of money? I know that
“What are they talking about?” Adrian asked himself with a confused look on his face as he glanced at Daniel and the same weird man he had spoken to earlier. He was worried. He knew the man was up to no good. Why did he go and meet his partner of all people? He asked himself but he couldn't get an answer to it. “Get inside. Let's go,” Chloe, who didn't notice what was going on, said as she held the knob of the door. “Adrian?” She called out to him when she noticed that he wasn't paying attention to her and he was staring at someone else. He heard her calling him but he was keen to know why the man that challenged him was speaking with Daniel, who was his partner. “What could he be thinking about? And what is he looking at?” she asked herself with a confused look on her face. She looked up and a soft gasp escaped from her lips as her gaze landed on Martin, who was discussing with Daniel. “What could he be telling him?” She muttered and Adrian turned to her when he heard her ques
