"What does it have to do with you?" Blake Morgan was the first to reply.

"Grandpa is right. What does it have to do with you?" Alice also replied in the group.

Seeing their responses, Mason Morgan was speechless and could only send a series of question marks in the group to express his astonishment.

"Dad, although you have the final say in Alice's matters, and I trust your judgment, I should at least know what kind of man my daughter is going to marry, right? I'll find time to go over and take a look after a while. There are too many things going on here in Metropolis City at the moment. @Blake Morgan," after a long time, Mason Morgan sent another lengthy message.

"Do as you wish. It's not like you can change anything anyway," Blake Morgan said rather domineeringly.

"Dad, you're overthinking. It's only just beginning now!" Alice was obviously a bit exasperated too.

After replying, Alice put down her phone.

"Why aren't you eating yet?" At this moment, Joseph also came out from the kitchen. He placed the last dish on the table.

"Ah? I was waiting for you! I thought about it and felt it wasn't quite right to start eating alone," Alice was slightly stunned, then answered.

"Try it. No need to be so formal," Joseph picked up a piece of cheese steak for Alice, making her feel a sense of bliss.

"Thank you," Alice expressed her gratitude, then took a bite.

However, after just one bite, her expression changed, and she instantly froze.

"Um, how is it? Not tasty?" Joseph noticed Alice's unusual expression and asked.

However, Alice didn't answer. Instead, she picked up two more pieces and started eating.

"If it's not tasty, don't force yourself. Try something else?" Joseph blinked and suggested.

"Joseph, what are you saying? What do you mean by not tasty? It's too delicious! How can it be so delicious? This is the most delicious cheese steak I've ever eaten. It's simply too good."

"I won't talk to you anymore. I'm going to eat first. It's too delicious," Alice couldn't wait to start eating. She was already a bit hungry, and with such delicacies in front of her, she found it even harder to control herself.

"This is delicious!"

"Oh, this is delicious too."

"This one, this one, even more delicious."

"Wow, this is the most delicious. It's too good."

As she ate, Alice kept praising Joseph endlessly.

Hearing this, Joseph felt a bit unreal. Was it really that delicious?

"Isn't this just an ordinary home-cooked meal? Is it really that delicious?" Joseph smiled awkwardly. Was this girl just teasing him?

"Joseph, you're being too humble. Whew, even the top chefs in my family can't make dishes as delicious as yours."

"Joseph, be more confident. You're really amazing and awesome," Alice continued to praise him while not stopping her hands from eating.

Joseph smiled and started eating too.

Alice ate more dishes, while Joseph ate more rice. Since childhood, Joseph had always had a huge appetite.

After about an hour, Alice was finally full. Although Joseph had a large appetite, he was already full at this point.

"If it's not enough, I can make more for you," Joseph noticed Alice's lingering desire for more.

"Ah? No, no. I can't eat anymore. Really can't eat anymore," Alice quickly responded.

She seemed to have been eating a bit like a wolf just now, not very ladylike. Would Joseph dislike her?

Thinking about this, Alice felt a bit uneasy.

"That's good then," Joseph smiled.

"Joseph, I don't usually eat so unladylike. Do you prefer gentler girls?" Alice asked tentatively.

"You just need to be the way you like. It doesn't matter what kind of girls I like," Joseph chuckled.

"How can that be? That's too casual," Alice shook her head.

"Then let me put it another way. I like all your ways," Joseph said with a smile.

"Ah? Are you serious?" When Joseph said this, Alice's pretty face instantly turned red. She turned around and fled back to her room.

Joseph watched Alice's departing figure and just laughed. She was already eighteen years old, yet still like a child.

After Alice left, Joseph began to clean up.

Back in her room, it took a long time for Alice's burning heart to cool down.

"So, Joseph likes me too. Does that mean we have mutual feelings?" Alice lay on the bed, hugging her big plush doll, talking to herself.

Suddenly, she thought of something, grabbed her phone, dialed Blake Morgan's number, and called.

Before long, the call was answered.

"Hello, Alice. How is it going? Have you arranged everything?" Blake Morgan's voice came from the other end of the line.

"Of course. It's not a difficult task. I've settled Joseph in," Alice replied.

"So, what's the matter? Calling grandpa so late?" Blake Morgan asked again.

"There's nothing in particular. I just wanted to tell you that Joseph's cooking skills are really good, much better than those top chefs in our family," Alice couldn't stop praising Joseph's culinary skills.

"Hahaha... Is that so? Now I want to taste it even more."

"However, I can't fully trust your opinion on it being delicious because, in the eyes of someone you love, even their flaws are virtues," Blake Morgan couldn't help but tease.

"What do you mean by 'someone you love'? My relationship with Joseph is not certain yet!" Alice said this, but her heart was happy.

"I remember three years ago, when Joseph married into the Cooper family, someone in our family hid and cried for a day and night, with swollen eyes."

"She even said Joseph Wilson had promised to marry her and that Joseph wasn't a man of his word," Blake Morgan teased again.

"Grandpa, you... Always teasing people. I won't talk to you anymore," Alice's pretty face turned slightly red, unable to keep a straight face. After exchanging a few pleasantries with Blake Morgan, she hung up the phone.

After hanging up, Alice opened F******k and found that her update had exploded with 99 comments.

Moreover, when she opened it, she saw that all 99 comments on the update were from the food photos she had just posted, mostly from boys.

"Alice, who is this man? He's not your boyfriend, is he?"

"Alice, are you in a relationship? Which family's young master is this?"

"Joseph? Who is Joseph?"

"Fuck, if he becomes your boyfriend, I'll kill him..."

"Hehe... Don't let me see this guy in Nova City. Every time I see him, I'll beat him up twice..."

Alice read the comments for a while. They were all a mess.

“Oh, come on, I was kidding. My sister is the calmest, proudest woman in the world—how could she ever swoon like a lovesick fool?”“Enough talking. I’m turning in.”“Oh, right—tomorrow night I won’t be home for dinner. Tell Grandma and me, would you?”Something occurred to Heidi and she added it offhandedly.“Why not?”Fiona asked.“I’m going to a classmate’s place for a barbecue. A close friend. I’ll head back after we eat.”Heidi replied.“What friend?”Fiona was curious.“A good one. She’s a girl—really cute, sweet as can be.”Heidi said brightly.“Don’t go to a stranger’s home on a whim. You’re not a child. Protect yourself when you’re out, understand?”Fiona reminded her.“Relax, she’s great. We’re classmates.”Heidi reassured her.“All right, use your judgment. If anything happens, call home.”Fiona urged again.“Got it, don’t worry. You don’t need to fuss.”Heidi soothed her and slipped into her room, all but announcing she’d heard every word and planned to forget it immediatel

Still, Alice was thin-skinned by nature. Even as she teased, a rosy flush crept across her cheeks. She wasn’t like Mason Alvarez, who could say the most shameless things without so much as a blink.“I can’t wait, no. Easy for you to talk when you’re full.”Mason sighed.“It’s only been two days, and you’re already this ravenous?”Alice kept up the ribbing, though her face burned even hotter.“Can you blame me? When something’s that delicious, you never tire of it.”“Your Joseph is delectable—I could never get my fill. I adore him. I’ll never let him go, not in this lifetime.”Mason spoke as she slid her long legs over Alice’s lap and curled her arms around Alice’s neck.“Old woman, you’re shameless. There’s nothing you won’t say.”Alice clicked her tongue, exasperated.“What’s unsayable about it? You know perfectly well how good he is.”“Could you really walk away from a man like that?”“Men dream their whole lives of being like him. Compared to Joseph, all the ones out there are just

“Of course not.”At his words, a blush bloomed across Mason Alvarez’s face. She lowered her head, a touch of shyness stealing into her gaze.“Then what is it?”Joseph smiled and asked in return.“Why do you need to know so much about women’s business?”“All right, the checkup’s done. We should head back.”“I’m starving. Let’s go home and eat.”Mason patted her stomach and said to Joseph.“When will the results be out—the full-body exam?”Joseph asked again.“By the time we get home, most likely.”“Why are you so anxious? It’s just a routine exam. Nothing’s going to happen.”Mason sounded utterly unconcerned.“I just want to know if there’s been any change in my body.”Joseph nodded. With his strength increasing, would his physical condition shift in any obvious way? The thought tugged at his curiosity.“Probably not. Last time your strength went up, your metrics were still roughly within the norm. So this time should be about the same.”Mason considered for a moment, then answered.Th

“Then promise me you’ll stay with me tonight—or I’ll start something right now,” Mason Alvarez said, cheeks softly flushed, her gaze roaming Joseph’s chiseled features, brimming with a tenderness on the verge of spilling over. She looked at him not as a man, but as prey within arm’s reach.“Alright. I promise. I’ll stay with you tonight—satisfied?” Joseph said, helpless. There was no winning with this woman—and she certainly had the allure to back her demands.“You said it. I’ll be waiting,” Mason replied, finally settling down.Joseph let out a quiet breath. If his body weren’t so far beyond ordinary, he’d have been a husk by now. For a man, nothing matters more than sound health. After a bit more tugging and teasing, Mason finally behaved and rested. Joseph took the opportunity to nap as well.A little over two hours later, they arrived at the diagnostics unit. With Mason and a few nurses assisting, Joseph went through a full examination before moving on to the strength test.It was

“What’s all this racket about?”“You’re training to be doctors. What if a patient saw you carrying on like this?”An elderly physician strode over, voice stern, and the chattering crowd fell apart at once.By then, Joseph had followed Mason Alvarez into her office.Once inside, Mason not only closed the door—she locked it.“Ms. Alvarez, why lock it?” Joseph asked, baffled.“So no one barges in,” she said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.“Weren’t we here for a physical?” Something felt off to Joseph.“We are. But it’s not even one yet. The department’s in use for student practicum and won’t be free until three,” Mason said, already slipping out of her blouse.“Then why come so early?” Joseph was growing more confused by the second.“I only just found out. The message came in when we were on our way—hardly my fault,” she replied with an innocent look.“Why are you undressing?” Joseph stared as she revealed a figure shaped to perfection, momentarily stunned.“Do you sl

“You still don’t know how mature I am? I’ve been ripe for ages,” Mason Alvarez said, casting Joseph a languid, smoldering look that left him squirming. She was a siren, pure and simple—who could resist if a woman like that chose to fall into your arms?“Alright, can you just eat your breakfast properly?” Alice finally cut in, exasperated, giving Mason a nudge. They bantered their way through the meal. With Mason’s outrageous mouth, Alice ended up blushing to the roots of her hair more than once. After lunch, once Mason confirmed the appointment with the department, she and Joseph headed for Nova First Hospital. Mason took the passenger seat while Joseph focused on the road.“So, bastard, has that little vixen stolen your soul?” Mason asked, a hint of grievance in her tone as she glanced at him.“What’s that supposed to mean?” Joseph looked like a man on trial for a crime he didn’t understand.“I left my door open for you last night. Why didn’t you come?” she demanded.“Ahem—wasn’t I w
