Chapter 5

Ren's fingers flew across the keyboard as he executed a series of complex trades, his mind racing with the wealth of knowledge from his previous life. He had spent the last several hours methodically building up his stock portfolio, drawing on his intimate understanding of future market trends to secure massive gains.

The numbers in his trading account continued to climb, far exceeding the modest $10,000 he had started with. Ren couldn't help but feel a surge of exhilaration - this was his chance to finally lift his family out of the cycle of poverty and debt that had plagued them for so long.

With a few more decisive keystrokes, Ren closed out his latest positions, locking in a staggering profit of over $250,000. He leaned back in his chair, a triumphant grin spreading across his face.

"Time to put this plan into action," he murmured, reaching for his phone.

Ren quickly composed a message to his parents, informing them that he had a surprise for them and asking them to meet him at the family house.

As Ren waited for his parents to arrive, he turned his attention to another passion project - his Thunderstrike comic. He had been working tirelessly on the series, pouring his heart and soul into crafting a captivating story and breathtaking visuals.

Ren's fingers danced across the digital canvas, layering intricate details and dynamic poses onto the latest page. He was determined to make Thunderstrike a success, not just for the sake of his own creative fulfillment, but as a means of securing his family's financial future.

The sound of the apartment door creaking open pulled Ren from his artistic reverie. His parents, weary and apprehensive, stepped into the room, their eyes searching his face for any sign of trouble.

"Ren, what's going on?" his mother asked, her voice laced with concern. "You sounded so serious in your message."

Ren took a deep breath, steeling himself for the moment of truth. "Mom, Dad, I have something I need to tell you," he began, his voice steady and confident. "I've been... well, I've been making some smart investments with that royalty money from my comic. And it's paid off, big time."

His parents exchanged a bewildered glance, their brows furrowed with confusion.

"What do you mean, son?" his father asked, his tone cautious.

Ren reached into his pocket and pulled out a thick stack of bills, his hands trembling slightly with the weight of what he was about to do.

"I... I've managed to pay off all of our debts," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "The rent, the loans, the medical bills - everything. We're free and clear."

His parents stared at him, their expressions a mix of disbelief and overwhelming relief. Tears began to well in his mother's eyes as the gravity of Ren's words sank in.

"Ren, I don't understand..." she stammered, her voice quivering. "How is this possible?"

Ren took a step forward, the stack of bills clutched tightly in his hands. "I've been... I've been studying the stock market, researching trends and patterns. And I've been making some very calculated investments. It's been paying off, big time."

His father's eyes widened, a glimmer of hope sparking in his gaze. "You mean, we're... we're actually out of debt? For good?"

Ren nodded, a proud smile spreading across his face. "Yes, Dad. We're out of debt. And not just that - we have enough left over to actually start thinking about the future, about making our lives better."

His parents stood in stunned silence, their expressions a whirlwind of emotion. Ren could see the weight of years of struggle and hardship slowly lifting from their shoulders, replaced by a sense of renewed hope and possibility.

Finally, his mother stepped forward, her eyes shining with tears of joy. She pulled Ren into a tight embrace, her body trembling with relief and gratitude.

"Oh, Ren," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "My sweet, wonderful boy. I don't know how you did this, but thank you. Thank you so much."

Ren wrapped his arms around his mother, holding her close as a sense of peace and fulfillment washed over him. This was the moment he had been working towards, the chance to finally give his family the life they deserved.

Ren had spent hours explaining to his Parents about Thunderstrike deal and the stock exchange.

"This is amazing, Ren," his father said, his voice filled with pride. "I didn't know that you were this good at drawing"

“It just came suddenly," Ren smiled as nodded.

"I just wish you more luck and I know that we will go out of this poverty”

"That's exactly what I'm hoping for, Dad. Thunderstrike is going to be my legacy, a way for me to ensure that we never have to struggle like this again."

As the night drew to a close, Ren bid his parents goodnight, his heart light with a sense of accomplishment. He retreated to his room, eager to continue  his comic and exploring new avenues for investment and growth.

Ren spent the next several hours  over his drawing tablet, his brow furrowed in concentration as he perfected the latest Thunderstrike page.

“Done, I just need to send this to my editor “ Ren finally turned off his tablet.

Ren then turned his attention to the stock market, quickly reviewing his portfolio and executing a series of strategic trades.

“One million dollars..this a fortune that my past life couldn't even get at the age of thirty” Ren smiled as slid his chair backwards in excitement.

************”" “

As the sun rose higher in the sky,  Ren rose from his chair which he slept off last night and began his morning exercise routine, a series of intricate katas and breathing exercises he had mastered through the celestial being.

Ren decided to do workout sections according to the guidelines from the Celestial being.

“Ninety four….Ninety five…. Ninety nine hundred” Ren had finally finished his morning exercise.

Ren was drenched in sweat, his heart pounding with exertion. He quickly showered and dressed, eager to start the day.
