Revenge Begins!

Two days later.

The atmosphere in front of the court was bustling with news-hungry journalists. I don't know how they found out about this divorce, but it did manage to upset Celeste's family because it managed to attract one of the television stations and was aired live.

To them, this was very inappropriate. Very embarrassing.

However, the smoothness of the divorce proceedings made Mr. and Mrs. Celeste, who were on site, quickly brush off the annoyance. At least now, a fool like Ethan was no longer part of the family.

As soon as the court doors opened, they stepped out with beaming faces.

"In the end, you're still eliminated. Ethan, what do you think? Don't you regret not getting a penny from me?"

Ethan, who had just gotten up and was about to walk away, fell silent as soon as he heard Ariana's words spoken in a dismissive tone.

Ariana also stood up, staring at Ethan's back with an arrogant smile. "Being able to marry me is an amazing thing. But you probably still don't believe it because you didn't get anything from me."

Then she walked closer, making the tapping sound of her heels echo. "Yesterday, when I asked you nicely, you should have complied instead of making everyone even angrier. Now you're the one who's paying the price."

Ethan smiled. He lowered his gaze for a moment, then returned to staring straight ahead as he said, "At least I know that you're… very disgusting."

Ariana was stunned. Without caring about her anymore, Ethan walked quickly out of the courtroom, reluctant to continue being with his ex-wife.

Just as Ethan was in the doorway, Ariana came to her senses. She snarled while tightly gripping the strap of her tote bag.

Then she chased after him. But her steps were forced to slow down when she saw that reporters now surrounded Ethan.

"From now on, everything about me, including whatever I do, has nothing to do with Celeste's family. Please remember carefully and don't let you create a narrative that is not true. I, Ethan Aldebaron, have been living as my person, no longer a son-in-law of the Celeste family!"

Ariana was shocked to hear this confident sentence.

After that, Ethan took out his sunglasses from his coat pocket, put them on, and walked calmly to his red sports car.

He opened the door and got in. The next second, the fantastically priced car was already driving away from the court, accompanied by the flashes of the crowded cameras.

Ariana was so shocked that she almost fell if she didn't regain her balance immediately. "Where did he get that car? That's... impossible."

"I have to tell the others immediately. This can't be allowed. A loser like that doesn't deserve a car like that, especially if it was a gift from my grandfather!" With that, she rushed to her car while trying to avoid the reporters.

At Ethan's side, the man continued to drive his car leisurely. His smile continued to shine, making his dimples visible. In fact, it wasn't just Mr. and Mrs. Celeste who was happy about this divorce, he was too.

The music that was playing loudly made his mood even better. He even occasionally followed the lyrics and moved his head vigorously.

In his entire life, this was the first time he felt happy. It felt like all the burdens hanging on his body had been swept away by the wind, making him feel very light.

Before long, the car he was driving was in front of Zenith Corp's tall building.

Ethan stared fixedly at the building from inside his car. "Let's start from here!"

When Ethan reached the lobby, a tall but curvaceous girl walked up to him with graceful steps. Both corners of her lips were drawn upwards, forming a smile that made her eyes curve like crescents.

"Mr. Ethan, I'm Hazel, your secretary and personal assistant," she introduced herself in a soft but firm tone.

Ethan returned her smile and nodded. "Let's talk in my office!"

Secretary Hazel smiled politely and made way for Ethan to go first.

Along the way, Ethan asked many questions about Zenith Corp and all things related to it, including its employees. Of course, Secretary Hazel explained everything in detail.

When the elevator doors were about to close, Ethan accidentally saw Carver with two other men walking past the elevator with his smug face.

"What about Celeste's family?" Ethan asked suddenly.

"They recently contacted us for a project to build a villa on an island. They want it to be unique and one-of-a-kind. Their budget is 70,000 dollars," Secretary Hazel replied. "I haven't approved it yet because the Chairman asked me to wait for you."

"Who represents it?" Right after this question was asked, the elevator doors chimed and opened. He quickly stepped out, heading for his only room on the 16th floor, the highest floor in the building.

"Miss Ariana," Secretary Hazel replied professionally.

Ethan, however, was slightly affected. His steps slowed down for a moment but then returned to normal.

After sitting down in his chair, he opened his voice again. "Then what about Carver?"

"He submitted a cooperation proposal."

"Reject anything related to Celeste's family. Whoever it is, if you still have a family tree with them, reject it categorically! Blacklist them, and don't let me see any of them here!" Ethan ordered firmly. His aura looked different than usual. There was a strong ruthlessness and majesty.

"Oh, wait, not yet. Now call their side and tell them we can't accept it yet," he continued quickly. A crooked smile spread across her face.
