Family’s Dynamics

Lily scoffed loudly. "Woman, this man here would never impersonate any one. Whatever you say doesn't count."

"Yes!" Jayden responded, with a nod. "You're only jealous that you are not with me!"

"Clementine, why don't we teach these two a lesson. Call the police. "

A layer of sweat appeared on Jayden's face and wiped it off, swallowing hard.

Lily stared at him, nudging him on his arm. "Jayden, prove to them that they are wrong. You are the scion of the Smith's family! You wouldn't lie to me right?"

"Don't be stupid, woman!" Jayden yelled, pushing her away forcefully that she fell to the ground, red with embarrassment.

Jayden fell on his knees. "I'm sorry. Please don't report me to the police or the Smiths. I met this woman in the bar and she was too beautiful to resist, knowing how materialistic she was, I decided to decieve her with this identity."

Clementine clicked her tongue over her teeth. "Tsk, tsk. The clothes on your body are a fake. Sister, they are not even designers and can be gotten from anywhere."

Truly, Jayden's clothes were a counterfeit made. From first glance, you can see that but Lily had been blinded too much to even notice.

"Yes, yes," Jayden nodded. "They are indeed fake. Please don't do anything to me. When we saw her ex husband, she wanted me to humiliate him and show off."

"What are you saying!" Lily was enraged. "So you decieved me into sleeping with you?! You're actually a good for nothing!" She spat on his face.

"And what about you? Do you think yourself to be any different!" Jayden sneered, wiping her saliva off his face.

Lily glanced at Dave, who was smiling like he was watching some show. "You're despicable! After robbing I and my family from our hard earned money, you decided to come meet up with rich people. Have they sacked you from your workplace? You decided to act as a man whore!"

Sophia stared at the patrons whispering and staring at them. "Ma'am, keep your voice down and stop insulting my fiance!"

Dave looked at Sophia. Did she just refer to him as her fiance? She has already accepted this arrangement so easily?

Clementine stared at her sister. "What are you saying? You shouldn't be helping him! You're embarrassing yourself publicly by saying this man is your fiance!"

Lily was shocked. "Yo-you both are engaged?" She inhaled sharply. "I pity you! You have just added a burden to your life, tsk!"

"Sophia, let's go. This lunch is ruined already and you must cancel the engagement!" Clementine hurriedly picked her sister up and they left without sparing Dave a glance.

"I can't believe you could do this to me!" Lily yelled. "After everything, you decided to leave me!"

"I never left you. You cheated on me," Dave replied curtly.

"And who doesn't cheat? Women cheat on their husbands but they still forgive them but you, what did you do? You decided to go marry someone else."

Dave could only shake his head at her words. "Wasting my breath on you, isn't worth it."

Saying this, he stood up and walked away.

"You're ungrateful! We just got divorced and now you have found another woman to leech off!"

The Ferdinand's Residence

"Mother, Sophia will not marry that man! Can you imagine that grandpa would want her to marry a divorcee?" Clementine whined to her mother, minutes after they got back home.

"What!" Mia yelled, standing up. "Brandon, did you hear what your daughter just said, your father wants Sophia to get married to a divorcee. I'm very sure he's a good-for-nothing!"

Brandon merely stared at Mia and said nothing.

"You're just useless! You can't even make good decisions for yourself, talking to you is just like pouring water on a stone!"

"To even take decisions concerning our daughters is too difficult to do! You're scared of your father and your brother!"

"Mia, stop yelling," Brandon scolded. "What exactly do you want me to do? Go up to father and tell him to stop the wedding? You already know what will happen if I do that. He will throw us out of the family."

Mia sucked in a breath and collapsed on the chair in tears.

Sophia stared at her parents and sighed deeply. "Mom, dad, I will marry him."

"Sophia, have you gone mad? How can you say a thing like that!" Mia yelled. "Instead of walking up to your grandfather and tell him about his bad choice, you have decided to become the sacrificial lamb for what good reason?"

"Mom, do you have any alternative? Do you want grandpa to kick us out of the family? You know we don't have any other choice than to do this!"

"Sophia, I can't believe you would sacrifice your own happiness for people who aren't worth it," Clementine said, shaking her head.
