Chapter two

"Get into the car!"

The man in the Armani suite said as he opened the door of a military grade armored Escalade.

"But my bike!"

Kyle immediately screamed pointing to the direction of the garage.

"Forget your bike."

"Lord Lincoln, your life is more important to me…get in now!"

Immediately Kyle got in, the man immediately drove off.

Moments later, Kyle is staring at the man driving the Escalade.

"Sorry, who are you again?" Kyle immediately asked as they were far off from the Silicon Mountain university view.

The man remained silent, he was putting on dark shades that made it really hard to see his face in a way.

"I asked a question and I demand answers immediately."

Kyle immediately yelled as he was now getting uncomfortable with the whole situation.

Staring behind him he immediately noticed that they were already on their way outside of Silicon Mountain.

He immediately swallowed a heavy lump as he stared at the man who was still focused on the road.

"Help me!!!"

Kyle yelled as they sped past a police vehicle.

"Lord Lincoln, relax you are perfectly safe and for the record no one can hear you scream."

"This is a titanium forged Escalade, it's the only one in the whole continent and it belongs to your dad."

The man said, his voice was barely above whispers as he focused on the road.

Kyle immediately stopped trying to open the door and stared at the man.

"Did you just say my dad?"

Kyle immediately asked as he put his hand into his bag searching for his phone.

"Yes, your dad, Lord Lincoln."

"My name is Carlos Alfred, I used to be the personal guard to your dad Douglas Lincoln before his helicopter crash."

The words of Carlos Alfred immediately hit Kyle like a time bomb.

Kyle just stared at him as he pulled up the military grade Escalade in front of an old restaurant outside of Silicon Mountain.

"You said you know my dad, how I'm sure you are telling the truth?"

Kyle asked, his voice laced with a mixture of confusion and anxiety.

"Well here is my ID card and this vehicle is another proof, your dad and I are the only ones that can access it."

"But sadly he was assassinated and they blamed it on the helicopter crash."

Carlos Alfred said as he removed his dark shades.

His gaze was fixated on Kyle who had his jaw dropping on Carlos Alfred's revelation.

"Why should I believe your bold claim?. The media said that my parents death was caused by an electrical issue on the dashboard of the helicopter."

Kyle said as he stared at Carlos Alfred, in askance with thoughts going on in his head.

"Forget what the media said, I have enough reason to believe that your parents' helicopter crash was a sabotage…I just haven't figured out who would want them dead."

"More importantly, why would they want Mr Douglas and Mia Lincoln dead?"

Carlos Alfred said as he hit his hand on the steering wheel blaring the horn loudly.

"All this doesn't make any sense to me… why would someone want my dad and mom dead to begin with?"

Kyle asked, his voice was barely above whispers but you could see the frustration and anxiety reeking all over him.

"It doesn't really matter Lord Lincoln, you and I will get to the bottom of all this."

"What still amazes me is the fact that your dad had sent me out of his helicopter that very night of the crash."

"It was as though he knew that the crash was going to happen."

Carlos Alfred said, his voice was barely above whispers.

He immediately clenched his fist in anger and frustration.

Kyle only stared at the whole thing in shock, this was an entirely different story from what the media had reported.

"So you are saying my parents were actually murdered and there was no helicopter crash?"

Kyle asked, his eyebrows furrowed in a mixture of bewilderment and anxiety.

"I believe the helicopter crash must have been a cover-up or something…almost your life is also at risk."

"What I don't understand is why and how your parents, Mr Douglas and Mia Lincoln, were able to perfectly hide their son from even me, their personal guard."

Carlos Alfred asked as he stared into the roof of the Escalade.

"I never knew you existed up until today."

Carlos Alfred said as he held Kyle by the hand.

"What are you doing?"

Kyle asked, his voice was laced with confusion as Carlos Alfred pulled out a scanner that had a symbol that Kyle recognises to belong to the Silicon Mountain royal Bank.

"Just place your palm on the scanner."

Carlos Alfred said as he turned on the biometric scanner.

Kyle slowly and carefully placed his palm on the biometric scanner and it turned on immediately.

"Welcome back Lord Lincoln, it's been 22 years."

The robotic voice from the biometric scanner came alive.

"Last log on one of your auxiliary account balances is 985 trillion dollars."

"Do you wish to perform any transaction, Lord Lincoln?"

Kyle Lincoln couldn't believe what was happening as he stared at the tablet in his hand.

"Ah… no that would be all for now."

His voice was laced with exhilaration as the tablet powered down.

"I don't understand… what is going on?"

"Lord Lincoln, you are the only surviving heir to the Lincolns Empire."

"Here is your mom's ATM card, it's an elite card, I'm not sure how much is logged in on it, but I can tell you it's over 12 trillion dollars."

Carlos Alfred said as he handed the card over to Kyle.

"I'm a trillionaire…. I can't believe this!"

Kyle yelled in exhilaration as he stared at the tablet.

"Lord Lincoln, I would want you to do something very important for me."

Kyle immediately stared

at Carlos Alfred, his demeanor changed immediately from exhilaration to a mixture of tradition and anxiety.

"What is it, Mr Carlos Alfred?"
