“Let’s just take our leave now,” Amelia said, her voice tinged with frustration. She couldn’t hide her discontent with her family’s treatment of Richard. She had hoped they would show some appreciation for him, but instead, they chose to criticize him, undermining all the effort he had put in to help them. She was fed up.

Richard, however, didn’t let their harsh words bother him. He had become accustomed to this kind of treatment over the years, especially from Amelia’s family. Their judgmental attitudes had been a constant in his life, and he had learned early on how to shut it out. It wasn’t personal, he thought. They were just blind to the kind of person he really was.

He remained stoic, not allowing any emotions to cloud his calm demeanor as he parted ways with Amelia and her family. He made his way back to his dorm, feeling the weight of the day on his shoulders but still determined to unwind and relax.

As Richard neared the entrance to the dorm, he noticed Charles and Oliver stan

"Time to show him exactly who he’s dealing with."Richard called Steven over, his voice calm but commanding. "Let’s talk," he said, his eyes locking with Steven’s. "I want to see if we can sort this out like reasonable people."Steven looked at Richard with disdain, clearly uninterested. "What do you think you can do to me if I don’t do as you say?" he scoffed, a smug grin on his face. "You really think you can intimidate me, don’t you?"Richard didn’t flinch. His expression remained calm, almost serene. "I won’t waste my breath explaining it to you," he said, his voice firm. "But let me show you something instead. Your business will crumble right before your eyes, and trust me, you won’t want to witness it."Steven’s fa

For him, today wasn’t about celebrating the game—it was a reminder of everything he didn’t have.Today was special for everyone else, but for Richard, it was just another day. Football wasn’t his thing. He never really felt the need to join in on these kinds of activities, preferring to spend his time running errands for classmates, making a little money where he could. He spoke to her with a coldness that she hadn’t expected, as though everything they had shared was nothing more than a fleeting moment, a passing fancy. To say such things to her face without a hint of remorse... it stung in a way that left her breathless. The air in the room felt thicker, heavier, suffocating her with its unspoken tension.Richard, seemingly oblivious to the effect his words had on her, shifted his attention to his phone, his brow furrowing as it buzzed in his hand. When he saw the name on the screen, his expression tightened. It was Mr. James—an important call, one he couldn't afford to ignore. With a forced smile, Richard cleared his throat and excused himself. "Just give me a few seconds. I need to use the restroom," he said, his tone detached, almost rehearsed. His gaze lingered for a moment longer, but th

The hum of the bustling restaurant faded as Richard’s senses sharpened. He felt the weight of the room shift. A quiet, almost imperceptible tension filled the space around him. And then, he saw them. The men. They entered the hall with a quiet, purposeful stride—giants in every sense of the word.
