Jackson hesitated and lowered his knife. He looked at Alexander, and said, "It's over. Let's end this. I do not quarrel with you but are pushing it."

Seeing an opening in Jackson’s hesitation Alexander kicked him in the groin as Jackson laid on top of him, Jackson let go of him and got up holding his crotch as he felt the pain intensely,

Alexander saw a grenade lying on the floor, near one of his dead men. He grabbed it and pulled the pin.

He threw it at Jackson, hoping to kill him and end the fight. He didn't care if he died too, as long as he took Jackson with him.

Jackson saw the grenade flying towards him, and his eyes widened. He had no time to react, or to run away.

He looked at Fernando, who was close to him, fighting the last of Alexander's men. He saw the fear and shock on his face, as he realized what was happening.

Jackson acted on instinct. He ran towards Fernando and tackled him to the ground. He covered him with his body and shielded him from the blast.
